    I have T-Mobile phone service but we’re I live I do not get T-Mobile service at all it uses us cellular towers I guess. Can I get one of these and have T-Mobile service at home or do I need to live in a area that has a little T-Mobile service already ?

    Wait... so you need a separate internet connection to get the internet from this thing? The Ethernet cable had to connect to a router that was pulling internet from another source. What's the point in having this thing?

    To everyone who keeps talking about Wi-Fi, it does not use or connect to Wi-Fi, it uses Ethernet. The person is talking about his Wi-Fi router which has Ethernet ports.

    When me and my wife got T-Mobile service the service was not connecting while we had to connect our phones so Wi-Fi well I found out about this cell phone spot Tower thing and I'll tell you what it's doing a good job the only issue that it has is when your power goes out or the Wi-Fi acts up that's when the system will act up a little bit but on the other hand it works great

      Connect to existing modem-router/Gateway with LAN cable, plug in GPS antenna, and plug in AC power adapter. Then wait ~2 hours while it sorts itself.
      I recently finished installation of a replacement V2 when my first unit stopped working. The first replacement refused to complete the self-activation routine, so T-Mobile had to send me a 2nd replacement. That one still had to go several hours past the 2hr estimate, but the lights finally turned solid green after about a day. The last tech I spoke with was able to tell me that they'd had a run of units with that problem.
      The Manufacture date code on the replacement (2018) that worked is actually older than my original (2019). At this point I'm just glad to have it working. The only light that never came on is the 2nd from the bottom for 3G/4G. It's now Oct 2023, so I assume that 3G has been discontinued at this point.
      The 4G LTE signal (bottom light) provides great coverage, especially since I mounted it high up almost touching the ceiling on an interior wall. The kit includes 2 screws for wall mounting. Before, the CellSpot was on a shelf and closer to an outside wall. The new location is higher, and with more of a straight shot from one end of the house to the other.

    The cellspoti is a great idea and it’s welcomed by many unfortunately it has flaws the biggest flaw is that anybody with in 3000 Foot radius that is vertical and horizontal that has a T-Mobile phone can connect to it there is nothing proprietary about the cell spot while it can handle 8 phone calls and 8 data connections at once which are all encrypted there is nothing special for say to keep people off of your network in your home T-Mobile will tell you that it is bound to your account and that you and your family are the only ones that can access it but don’t be fooled because it can be accessed by anybody that has a T-Mobile phone if you’re up against The wall and are thinking about a cell spot or a booster a cell spot requires a connection to your router and a booster well it’s just that it boosts the signal out of the air but unfortunately I’ve had a horrible results with the booster and always went with a cellspot I still have a cell spot and would never go without it just something to think about.

    • @williamnorton2712
      @williamnorton2712 4 роки тому

      T-Mobile goes out of their way to try and have you believe that this spot is "tied to you home address" and lead you to believe only your phones can access it. This could not be an further from the truth. I caught a T-Mobile "technical expert" in a lie and when I called her out on it she admitted that anyone with T-Mobile service can hop on to your cell spot. This WILL impact the traffic on your internet connection!

  • @UtubeAdviser
    @UtubeAdviser 9 місяців тому

    For all you idiots that keep asking the same stupid question over and over, let me give you in a nutshell how this works as I have set this up in my house and it works excellent.
    First of all, this device is only for people who have very bad signal where they live.
    Secondly, all you have to do is connected to your router or moden. Let it run for about 30 minutes. They say 2 hours but it only took 30 minutes for me. Once you see all of the green lights lite up on the device, then is ready!
    Then all you have to do now is turn off the wifi on your cell phone, look at how many bars you have on your phone now and do a speed test.
    I only had 1 bar before and now I have full bars and i am getting around 180mbps with my wifi turn off.
    For those saying if it works with your wifi what is the point? You're not getting it. The device works with wifi signal to increase your cell phone signal. Without the device, your cell signal relies only on the cell phone tower and that will be all. So is basically a signal booster amplified by your wifi. I hope you understand now how it works! If you are still lost then I suggest you don't order this device and just choose a different carrier!

      not only that, gotta make sure udp ports: 123, 500 and 4500 is open not blocked on the isp side. mine was workin til i switched from cable to fiber optic and was workin and everything happened, t mobile towers had maintenance, cellspots started to have problems. got a email sayin my Internet account been deleted. probably cellspot account they mean. on my 3rd 4glte cellspot replacement
      usin the same router as before
      it be the Internet provider not wantin to open the ports or don't know how to do it
      been usin 4glte for over 4 years since 2019, no problems until now 2023
