It seems that the way this booster works is: it amplifies signal, but does not add any strength to it. I still get dropped calls. I guess this thing needs to be placed outside. Sometimes glass can be acting as a shield. - Наука та технологія

I ordered this and it actually worth it.
I placed the window unit on top of the kitchen cupboard because that's where it get three bars shown on the window unit. then i placed the coverage unit, downstair in my room.
so now, i got full bars in my room.
Before you buy this online, you just gotta make sure that you got at least one or two bars at your house so that it will work for you and it wouldn't be a waste of money.

Just received and installed the new CellSpot device. WOW!!!! WHAT A POSTIIVE DIFFERENCE! : ) Went from 0 to 1 bars around our 2,100 square foot single family home to 4 and 5 bars! : ) You're right though...you need to proactively ask Sprint/T-Mobile customer support for this device....they may not mention it otherwise. Anyhow, no more dropped calls or delayed connections....Love it! Thank you T-Mobile!

I get 4g 2 bars on my phone. But the window unit power light is just flashing.

This version is old tech .....! I have single panel version that plugs into your wifi router and works Great....! Full signal bars on my Tmobile phone....without it.........my signal is shit......lol
@@jaaron2834 Alot of folks do not have WiFi, like no DSL, no cable, maybe only dialup land line speed. Wifi IS UNAVAILABLE!.
THEY NEED A REPEATOR booster.
T-Mobile is giving people a hard time about registering these repeator units now. But if you push them....HARD and persistently, they'll do it.
My brother had good service in his semi-rural area with straight 4g lte coverage. Then, 5 weeks later, TMobile starts turning on 5g extended and everything goes to HELL.We've done ALL the time-wasting phone adjustments to turn 4g lte off, net resets, airplane mode on and offs, you name it.
This booster is our last step to proving, ALL THREE carriers better get busy building more towers. They've taken ALOT of federal and state money to provide rural broadband BUT you've gotta' have the access points as in tower redundancy to get voice and text in place. A twister takes out the one 3-carrier tower 5.6 miles from my brother's house, literally a full quarter of Newberry, SC is without not just cell BUT 9-1-1 COVERAGE. FCC is hot on these phone cartel's backsides along with many elected local, state, and US reps.
This is equivalent to the Robber Barron's of the Railways moving the tracks to spite and hold hostage small town and rural America. The automobile and interstate system broke the train gangsters grip on transportation.
Maybe busting up the Big Three while bringing down the price of Satellite phones will get Americans the communications they deserve.
The further away the better the first one is the window unit the other needs to be on other side. 8 means a good connection
what if you have a weak signal outside your house? is there an outdoor antenna cell booster for y our roof? and if so which ones for T Mobile?
You need a directional antenna pointed to the nearest tower and then the wire goes inside and connects to a signal booster.
I received mine today.Mine is only one large unit for home.Made by Nokia. Made to hang on the wall or sit on a desk top. I went from having no signal at all in my home to now having 170 -186 mbps download and 20-22 mbps upload. I did hold down the reset button on the back of the device for the 20 seconds that the manual stated, to cause a software update to occur if needed. T-mobile did really good by me on the device. Of course, my CSR was amazing.Thanks ( Claire ).
Did you plug your unit into a wifi router? T-Mobile is sending me a booster unit that I can plug into my home WiFi.
@@user-cn8dg7px6c there’s two different ones. This one in the video and a CellSpot that uses your home WiFi to create a mini cell tower in your home.
@@joshuaragon6676 they sent the one that uses your home internet which happens to be T-Mobile home internet and it's not compatible and they are not able to open up the ports required for it to work.
@joshuaragon6676 you don't need wi fi or any type of internet and it will help your cell signal

Mine just went out after having it for about 3 years... any idea what happened? Mine has a red power sign on windows unit...I think it used to be green.

@@jesusibarra99 its probabley cause they use cheap parts. Might be a shorted transistor or a shorted capacitor or a mosfet that has burnt out from continuous transmitting. Electronics made in china are not 100% duty cycle. Its like running a car at redline all the time. The parts will fail. Real electronics cost big $$$.
@@Avw488 You said your unit is 3 years old. Perhaps you're using the older tech. T-Mobile now uses the RS3 Duo+ units. Check to see if you're still using the RS2 unit. If so call T-Mobile and tell them the booster is not working as well anymore and you want to replace it with the newer RS3 Duo+.
That would mean I would have to get internet to connect. It was 100% bars till they shut it off. Before I would just need a power source...now I have to pay for internet to get the new one....some bullshit...

That is what t mobile refers to as the booster. The cell spot looks like a router with antennas coming out of it. This the 2 piece booster goes in your windows

It appears the device has since been redesigned. There's a LAN port.
Still drops calls with this device. Even after restart. Junk. Spectrum wifi 5 g worthless as well. Might as well go back to using string and tin cans.
Stay on the FCC and your elected officials to force these companies to service what they sell.Or bust them up and make the marketplace business friendly for ample competition.

no, it only works with T-Mobile and T-Mobile MVNO like Metro and Mint.
Depends on what LTE bands your phone uses. Google tmobile lte bands then your devices bands and see if any match up.
@@muaschee2314it very well may. Do research. I say this because I've had guest that does not have t mobile and it helped them in my house.

Other than that is was great! You have a pleasant enough voice that if you ever get the hang of this I could see you maybe calling play by play for New Jersey Tech since they too can't seem to get a handle on the fundentals, a perfect fit. If it works, GREAT. iF NOT, do the due diligence to stay on the FCC and your US Reps to FORCE the Big Three Communications Cartel to provide voice service to 100 per cent of where they sell OR limit where they can sell until they have adequate coverage with backup redundancy in place!
This dude doesn't have a clue and obviously doesn't know how to read or understand the instructions. The number 1 on the base unit means they are too close together. Move further apart, the higher the number the better 8 or 9 is best.
