Literally choosing between these two cars planning on buying one this summer. Was originally going to go with the M3 but the C8 in black just looks too good 😭.

Same I'm going to go with the g80 tho after seeing all the aftermarket stuff u can do to it. Like the adro grilles and gts tail lights. Changes the car. Think it's alot more unique and head turning too becuase there's alot of old men in c8s where I'm from. The bmw just seems younger and has more tech and better luxury interior. Not to mention faster and handles quite a bit better.

@@gravenguan ur highly mistaken New bmw M cars dont depreciate at all. It takes a good 3 years to start seeing over 10k depreciation or until a refresh comes out. They are very hard to come by most dealerships will only have 2-3 on their lots if that. U can sell for above msrp if u want too. Just go to a used car site and type in used c8 and then used m3 or m4 competition xdrive. U will see triple the number of used c8s and maybe 5 used bmw m3 or m4 competition xdrives in ur area. Mine as 3.

I would be happy with either car. I do have the 2022 G80 M3 6MT. I would take the C8 too if I could get the C8 in a 6 speed manual. An automatic in a Big luxury sedan like a Lexus

thats the appeal of the M3 vs the C8. Get majority of the performance while you have 4 of your friends in the car chillin. Also the console in the C8 is a bit much. Not going to have any "fun" on these long roadtrips, if you know what I mean 🤣

I must have seen something different. M3 only ever pull ahead when he decided to put the C8 in a higher gear to give the turbo its advantage. Like who does that and why would ppl think that makes it the winner. C8 was leaving when in the proper gear.
If the Corvette had 2 turbos like the BMW then the Corvette would win...Corvette has 8 pistons, it can hold up to 2500 horse power

The M3 is so much more practical being a four door with rear seats but man does the C8 corvette look good. I know the better buy is probably the M3 especially modding wise a down pipe so e30 and a tune and youll get good power from the turbos but I think id still go C8.
💯 if you want to tune the M3 is way better and will do under 3 second pulls and be a whole different kind of monster. But c8 could potentially give you issues if you tune it but def get c8 the looks and sounds outweigh the tune n mods.
Tuning a RWD car is annoying cuz it's hard to get the power down. U need the XDrive version. I've seen it tuned and beating a plaid to the quarter mile and out launching it

@@G82Watts yall don’t know what you’re talking about respectfully…. lol back before a c8 could be tuned you’d have a point. But now they can be tuned a c8 with fbo and head/cam will be epic. Also rwd is a lot different when it’s a rear mid-engined layout.
@@mogulme6190 that's what I was going to say. The mid engine layout helps the c8 but in general RWD cars getting tuned makes traction a big problem
Do an actual race from a dig. Roll racing takes out all the weaknesses of the cars. A dig shows the entire package...at least for acceleration. After that, a road course.
Roll racing shows which car is actually faster, dig racing shows what car is quicker, there is a difference, road course is pointless because most people don't have the driving skill to get the most out of their cars capabilities.
nah man, from a dig the M3 would win every time. Its got too much low end torque for the C8. since its an NA car vs a turbo, C8 would get walked off the line.
Id take a base vette over any bmw any day.

@@sirren8808 It closer than you think; I have a M5 Comp LCI as well and my daughter has a C8. The cars are close until 1/4 mile and then my car starts walking away due to the HP advantage. PS Our cars will not stand a chance against the C8 Z06.
Fair, I just cannot stand the low redline on the Lt2. The pushrod small block was great for the front engine vets as it allowed for such a low hood line. This c8platform was really built for the Lt6 it’s 8600 RPM redline. On the other hand, the BMW S58 is really smooth and pulls hard up top but sounds like crap.

I don't like the look of the new C8 Corvette unfortunately. The C5 and C6 are much better looking cars. The C8 looks like a cheap Ferrari. As for the M3 the grill isn't my favourite but i prefer it over the C8. Sound wise neither car is good. I'd take an old E36 M3 over the modern V8 sound of the Corvette.

Theres no way a C8 will embarrass an M3 Competition on a track. Go to a track and actually watch. The M3 is slightly heavier but lets be honest, the M3 is probably making more like 550hp. Btw, all M3 Competition are all wheel drive, so the comments regarding it being rear drive are wrong, unless its actually a non competition model...which is 473 hp.
The M3 comp comes standard as RWD with Xdrive as optional. Non-comp model is RWD Manual transmission only.
The M3 is an old mans car. It doesn't stand out as anything interesting. It looks just like every other car on the road.
The stock C8 can’t compete with a G80-M3. It’s NA against turbos. A C8-Z06 even naturally aspirated would be a better match just for the strong motor it has.

My M5 Comp modified 779 HP. 0-60 2.69 sec. 1/4 mile 10.19 sec. My dream car. Eats Ferraris and Lambo's for breakfast. Vetts have no chance.
I love BMW as well, but compare to mod cars is not fair and also if you can keep up with the repairs!
I own a bmw as well but the c8 is now super car material. Them c6 and c7’s aren’t no joke. For the price and mod to mod the c6 and c7’s eat up said cars as well.
