Wow more than 60 pieces of Mideke pottery! I found one in a thrift store for $3. It was like the little jar without a lid and was dark brown with sgrafitto near the rim. The signature was a stamp with Mideke inside a tree outline. I took an offer on it fir $65 after about 4 months.
Yes she was an avid collector. There are a lot priced lower right now, but according to worthpoint they really have potential to do a lot better, so I'm hoping I can make that happen!
Found this info about Red Wing Oomph: The proper name for this pattern is Bakeware. But a promotional brochure prominently displayed the slogan “Red Wing Puts the ‘OOMPH’ into Earthenware”, and Oomph came to be the more commonly used name. Oomph had a heavy, substantial feel compared to most other dinnerware lines. The green and dark brown color combination causes Oomph to frequently be confused with Red Wing’s later Village Green pattern, as well as with similar wares from other potteries. One way to differentiate Oomph from Village Green is the band of green found on the rim of many Oomph pieces but not on Village Green. Like Provincial Cooking Ware, Oomph included numerous casseroles and baking dishes. But Oomph also included plates, cup & saucer, mug, pitcher, teapot, salt and pepper shakers, etc. which made Oomph a dinnerware pattern rather than a mere cooking set.

Will you file an insurance claim with the shipper, since it was damaged in shipping?
Wouldn't that cover the full cost?
Damage only recovers the cost of the item not the cost of shipping. The cost of shipping and item is only covered if the item is lost.
Also, if no significant damage shown to box then they won't cover it which was the case in this situation
@@TheNurseFlipper Thanks for the reply.
I appreciate your time and willingness to share your journey with us!
When things are damaged in shipping doesn’t the post office cover that with the shipping insurance?

When I go into the listing, the price shows only the sale price and I don't see where I can change the original price. How would I raise/lower an original price? Delete and relist?
If you change it while on sale after the sale it reverts back to the original price so you need to change while sale is off or delete and relist
Darn, I was afraid of that. Oh well, deleting and relisting isn't a bad strategy anyway. Thanks!
So I need to have 500 items before I sell on ebay?
No you can sell with less but I didn't see regular sales until I had over 500 posted. If you sell only popular in demand things you don't need as much
