Thank you for educating all the struggling hairstylists out here. Being a single Mom I had to get creative with education. I can not afford classes nor ever been to a hair show. So, I am greatful and sincerely thank you for accelerating my education,'passion and dream of being a Colorist. Your both are adorable. Good job Mom Tang on raising your son, excellent work!

Love it!! I so relate to your beautiful mom, I am in my mid 50's, my hair is thick, 60% gray, the rest of my roots is dark brown with auburn/copper tones (I am southern Italian with olive skin). I have been coloring my gray roots at home for the longest using Wella colorcharm 246/5A Light Ash Brown color, but I am so ready for a change!!! After watching your video I decided to get my hair professionally done.

Exactly ! :) I'm going to buy this hair color with the developer so I can dye my grey roots at home. It's horrible having grey hair ! Regular color boxes don't cover them ( their developer is 10 vol.). Very informative for me !

Many thanks, I been tryin to find out about "does bleaching your hair make you go grey?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Aanabriel Bewildering Ascendancy - (do a search on google ) ? It is a smashing one off guide for discovering how to get rid of gray hair quickly minus the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my cousin got cool results with it.

I just want to share my story with you and also share with you why you are such an inspiration to me. Previously, I had been working at a salon that was STRICTLY REDKEN. I had worked there for 3 years and while I loved the girls I was working with and loved my clients, I was unhappy with my working conditions. Yes, using REDKEN products and color was great but having a boss that was hard to work for, made me lose my passion for hair. I had no creative freedom. Everything was very cookie cutter. I found myself say "Do I even want to do hair anymore?" Earlier this spring, I made the difficult decision to go off and work for myself. It was at that time that I discovered your videos. Your excitement made me excited again! My passion for hair came back!! Now I try different products, techniques, tools, and color because I see you use them. You are FOREVER inspiring!!! You have changed my business. Even my clients notice!! I love how you dive right in and how fearless you are and when I second guess myself, I say "What would Guy do?" I really just want to say thank you for being open with us and letting us see what you do. You truly are an artist and I really look up to you! I'm sorry if I sound sappy but I have been working up the courage to say all that to you.
    Thank you,
    Amelia
p.s. I vote yes on a cutting tutorial!

Wow, your mom was already beautiful but the way you colored and highlighted her hair with reddish tones really did a lot to warm up the look of her skin. A lot of older people look washed out especially with hair that is as dark as when they were younger due to too much contrast with their skin. Guy, you are a true artist with color.

I began going gray since I was 20 years old. Both of my parents were premature gray-ers. I come from a Celtic background and this is common, unless the have the privilege of being a natural redhead!

Loved the tutorial Guy, very informative. I will never overlap the colou again unless needed. Since watching your videos I now put my home clour in a bowl an use a brush, I apply the colou to both sdes of the hair making sure it is not tthick. Since dong this my colour has been more even and is less patchy. Thank you for all the tips and information....your a natural teacher and I love that your not patronising to those of us who home colour. I discovered Schwarzkopf Color Expert (SCE) do't know if itis sold in te US yet but it was launched last year 2017. it incorperates a process similar to Olyplex....this home color is brilliant and the pigment is very good better than any home colour I have ever used. After application the hair feels really conditioned and silky soft. I had run out last monh and used a different brand Garnier Olia Colour - it was a last box of curs from a few months ago before I switched to SCE. My hair is porous and a 100% grey - this colouras made my hair so dry in comparison to the SCE.....suffice to say I will be going back o SCE....maybe whe I am a little braver I will try out a proffessional colour and mix my own. I'm in the process of sending some to my sister. Oh good god this looks like an ad for SCE....lol!

Lovely video content! Forgive me for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Millawdon Goodbye Gray Trick (should be on google have a look)? It is an awesome exclusive product for learning how to reverse gray hair fast minus the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my cousin at very last got amazing results with it.

Just wonderful, I been tryin to find out about "what is the best hair color to cover grey?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Aanabriel Bewildering Ascendancy - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a smashing exclusive guide for discovering how to get rid of gray hair quickly minus the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my mate got cool success with it.

Wow..thank you. .I learned something tonight..my hair is just like hers and going grey same as hers..I tried to put a redish color, and even a dark brown with redish, and I would use 30 and 40 volume (sometimes I use 20 depending on what I am doing) I would have hot roots..and now I just do the roots, and stay dark black. .now I know I need to use a 20 for the grey..thank you!!

Guy, I use your colour to cover my grey, I use a red for a punch of colour at the root I was using midnight violet and midnight rose and 20 vol and dark everywhere else and I love it, now I mix those 2 with rose red and it’s great. I love the colour on my roots. I just wanted to say that I love watching you do hair, I do hair as well however I’m not licensed and I only do my hair and I have forever just because I’m so picky about what I want to try. Anyway love you.
