I'm NOT a professional. But, I've done this technique successfully on myself. It's almost a year later and it's time to do it again. This is by far the best, clearest, detailed without endless yammering on an on an on🙄. Every word is purposeful and on point. Thank you!
We're glad you enjoyed our tutorial!
Was is easy to do on your own hair? I am planning to do too
@@KomalMaher905 it does not easy when I do in back area.. 😅

This is so enlightening. Every time I ask for a balayage, my hair stylists always separate my hair as if they’re doing highlights and I HATE the results. This is what I want
As a hairstylist I know how long and tedious this process can be! She did an absolutely beautiful job with the techniques and her explanations were flawless. She really hit all the points....even down to pricing! Wonderful job!
Thank you so much! ☺️💕
I’m not even kidding when I’m saying that this video changed my balayage game !! I tried it once after watching your video and my balayage has never looked as good , using this technique ! I tend to overthink things and the way you broke down the process really clicked with me !! I’ve done like 20 balayage since watching this video and I’ve loved the results ! Thank you so much ! Best balayage video ever ❤️❤️
So wonderful to hear this! ☺️💕
I'm not a professional but i do stuff to my hair all the time lol, i followed your tutorial on my niece's hair, shes 6 and her hair is down to her waist its a very dark brown. She has been begging me to make her hair look like mine lol. So i did this, and turned out beautiful! It looks subtle, but with so much dimension and looks so natural, didn't even have to tone it. Thank you!
That's fantastic! ☺️💕
What lightener did you use?
You’ve got to be the only woman I’ve watched today that helped explain Balayage wonderfully! I had such a hard time in other videos trying to figure out where to start, how to start, tips or tricks, etc. You explained everything wonderfully, thank you for the info! I can’t wait to play with my hair! ❤️
This comment made our day! Glad you found it informative :)
I‘m screaming at my phone right now. I asked for a balayage from brown to mid-grey (so there was no need to have super bleached hair) and brought an inspiration photo with me. However, I have zero experience with dyeing hair or different techniques and the consultation had me believe that my hairdresser knew what I wanted. I left with weird highlights in blue, purple and pink (“it will wash out”). Needless to say, I‘ll be back there in a few days and pray that they are able to fix it. The colours do wash out but it’s still a damn mess.
Thank you for the video, it provided a few very interesting details for me to “make my case” when I go back to the salon.
She seems like she could explain anything :O so clear and comprehensive!!

OMG thank you thank you!!! This was the best tutorial ever!!!
Happy to hear! Please let us know if there are other topics / techniques you would like to learn from us! Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing the head-sheets which demonstrated your sectioning that was extremely helpful. Maybe I'm still too new to the industry (only been licensed for three months) but when you said your lightening clay lifted up to 7 volumes I had so much anxiety just imagining that! Hopefully with time and practice I'll have more confidence with lightening in general, but I love balayage because of the freeform style of application and over all effortless appearance it gives.
Hi Timothy, you chose the best profession! Practice makes perfect 💕
Excellent and straight to the point! Can you just explain to the Pros., why you are one of the only ( not ) heavy backcombing?? I’m not a fan because the snarly mess it creates. 🤯 def., a helpful tutorial, and I will continue to watch out for more Kenra in the future-as far as UA-cam goes, this was very well done! I love watching true Pros. Who are on here to teach and really help our Industry Blessings to all the Hair Artists out there 🥰👍
Hi Lori! So glad to hear you enjoyed this video and thank you for your feedback. Quick answer to your question. To balayage is to paint. The back combing provides a buffer for blending. Using the Simply Blonde Clay Lightener and a balayage technique, you do not need to back comb. In balayage, you are primarily painting the surface to create a natural lightened effect. ☺️
This was really informative and easy to understand and follow. Best tutorial on UA-cam. 👌👌
Thank you so much 😊

She is an amazzzzzzing teacher
Amazing balayage! i want to dye my hair like this too when i grow up!!♥♥
You can do it! Thank you for watching!
Outstanding
This technique is great if you want a natural look. But if the client wants a lighter look like a shimmery silver white. Then I suggest doing it in foils and Teasing before applying to create a good flow. When bleach hits air it oxidizes itself and so therefore you don’t get the necessary lift . Placing bleach in foil Prevents the air to hit it and also traps in the moisture and allow the bleach to continue to lift.
Beautiful and seamless job
Thank you, Joie!
Love it😍
Simply wow
Maidah Baig That’s what I was going to say!
Cassie, Excellent Job! You killed it! Keep it coming. Please
So glad you enjoyed the tutorial! ☺️
Really informative! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great tutorial and tips and help!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Great tutorial! Would you avoid doing any balayage on the very top layer of hair if the client demands it? she still has some damage on just the very top layer and insists on not touching it with lightener at all, although I think it would not really damage it much further ( she has a level 6 with a bit of 5 on top.) and wants to achieve an overall dark golden ashy blonde balayage. Many thanks for your advice on this!
Hi! Thank you for the helpful tutorial! I was wondering if you could clarify a bit more on how to pick the correct direction for the diagonal sections at the top of the head. You say to make the diagonals to go towards the heavier side of the hair when parting the hair to the side. My hair part is towards the right of my head so my left side is heavier. Would I follow the direction of the sections you show in the diagram at 3:14, or would my diagonals be in the opposite direction? Thank you again for the tutorial!
Excellent video & descriptions.... ty

Best technique I learned a while back.
Woo Hoo! Thank you for watching!
GORGEOUS!!!
Thank you, Rhonda!
Great instruction, beautiful seamless results! Though it appears the side section diagram is different than the tutorial? The sections are lined the opposite way?
I'm in barber school and man sectioning long hair is difficult for me and to see a female do it with ease man that's impressive 🤯
You'll get the hang of it!
Amazing video, I never got taught balayage when I went to cosmo school years ago. I am going back to do new classes soon and these vids have helped me a lot. I can’t wait to try kenra balayage lightener etc too
