Hi, I just bought a Roland EV-5 exp pedal. May I know how can I set it up to my MXR M300? It seems doesn't work, eventhough i had follow the instruction on the settings😢
Hi, Graham. The buffered bypass would definitely make sense in the FX loop of an amp but would really make sense for most applications. Really the only reason to not use the buffered bypass would be if you don't want trails when you turn the pedal off. Thanks for your interest! @@sweetwater thanks Charlie. I think I'm gunna run the delay and verb in front instead for now and see how that goes. The mxr pedals seem to handle the dirt pedal pretty well so might not need the loop in this situation.
Is it normal that when I have this pedal on, when I turn the other pedals on or off I hear the click sound way louder than when I have de mxr m300 off??
I bought mine last week but, the mix knob (wet/drive) decrease de volume of my signal so I cannot control the mix of how much reverb I want...it’s too annoying and too expensive considering there’s no stereo output. I will sell mine and go back to my old and trustable bluesky.
I just got this and it seems pretty durable. My only complaint is that I've been playing barefoot and I end up touching the cycle button with my toe, then I also adjust that same tone/cycle knob with my fingers. I know it's my own toe residue but I've got to say this is probably a first in terms of pedal/knob/finger/toe experiences
You guys are simply amazing reading these comments every one of you one is here his shoes his shirt wow it all equals out to money. I have played with numerous big-name groups but I won't get into that I've been doing it for 37 years and the bottom line is all of you out there watch all these videos on all this amazing stuff but my advice to you is if you can't play the s*** out of a guitar or be able to write a simple tune by buying all this equipment doesn't make you great so I guess you better go out and buy his shoes and a shirt and try grow as long hair because that's all you're going to have an empty pocket and maybe a comb your back pocket
I suggest - A much more realistic demonstration would be for the presenter to play actual songs using the effects. Random sounds with a whammy on everything, just sounds like sci-fi fill. Convince me why I should drop a couple bills on this box. Thanks - Lumpy
Eric sin sinner Yeah no. I'd prefer this to be honest. The stereo part that I missed was my only issue besides the price. It actually compares really well with a Neunaber Wet Reverb.
Eric sin sinner nah. Zoom 70 CDR. Costs less and aas heaps of great reverbs in there with and without modulation [plus a horde of delays and Chorus and some extra goodies]. And is also stereo.
Eric sin sinner It doesn't bother me, funnily enough. I really dig the MS70 . If I could have them to change anything about it, I'd prefer a separate Tap Tempo and an expression IN.
Neeeed one of these. Falling in love with MXR modulation pedals, they're killing it these days.
One thing I've noticed from using mxr over the years is you could have a whole pedalboard of mxr pedals and it would stand up to anything out there.
Best Reverb pedal I’ve seen thus far.
captain slow playing the guitar, that's awesome
and endorsed by MXR. LOL
I think he was making a Top Gear reference...
Captain slow is actually a classically trained Pianist and Harpsichordist.
Fantastic pedal and the exp control is awesome. great demo master.
this pedal looks absolutely insane. A predecay knob woudlve been nice tho... not complaining tho, looks epic
Excellent review, Don. Bought one from Sweetwater. Amazing.
WHAT ARE THOSE
LOL
They look like the Single Forever 3's
Don't hate! I love those shoes! Got me through three years of teaching.
Could be Cole Haan’s or New Balance
omg it sounds beautiful
SOUNDS AWESOME

Can you disable the flange sound that's added in tha pad mode?
what type of mic are you using on the blackstar? Also what audio interface, and any extra mic preamps?
You can get a used Polara or RV-6 for around $100 dollars, but in the $200 range I'd take a Neunaber any day.
Slush Puppie - you can get one of these used for $120-130 and it's worth every penny. Excellent verb.
Does the buffed bypass work better if used in the fx loop? To bring back the clarity lost by the cable runs coming out/in to the amps fx loop?

Yes, that's the nature of mxr foots switches. It's normal.
Nice shoes !

What exp pedal is that?
+Tele Caster, that is a Roland EV-5 expression pedal.
Thanks! Don Carr
what about the switch behind the screws, what does that do???
Mono/sterero
how durable is the tone-knob/sound cycle button?
+guitarheart94 hey, I second this question. that kind of knob could easily be f**d up.

Cool shoes
por que palanquea? la re caga para notar ese piscui que me gusta de los delays
Don Carr is a cool cat. If I ever run into him in Memphis I'll buy him lunch ... BBQ
wow does sound great but a bit sci-fi sounding for me
it sounds a bit like that because he has the mod always on, without it, it sounds like a regular reverb
perfect for a Pink Floyd sound
Yeah, if he’d bothered to actually PLAY the pedal more, you would hear more normal sounds 🤷🏼♂️
I want the pedal. I want the shirt. I want the hair!
i want you
@@howiseethingsclearly she's so...
HEAVYYYYYY
Great playing but your shoes are boss.
+andrew wheeler This MXR Reverb pedal is sponsored by Boss shoes.
STOP using the lever
omg right? we should be listening to the reverb tails, not getting all vibratoloco
The lever. Really.
It was horrible, officer. Levers everywhere!
JM G yeah lol

The Mod mode sounds like you are in a Chinese massage parlor

Sure looks like Carl Broemel in a few years doing reviews.
The druids...

Pake batik 😂
200 bucks and it's not even stereo. Sounds great but they ask too much money.
+Christian Augustin It is stereo, might what to research before making uninformed statements, actually states its stereo at 5:35 lol
Eric sin sinner So you have to spend 200 bucks and more money for trs cables.... Still pretty bad.
Christian Augustin
Yeah you should buy a BlueSky instead
Eric sin sinner Yeah no. I'd prefer this to be honest. The stereo part that I missed was my only issue besides the price. It actually compares really well with a Neunaber Wet Reverb.
Christian Augustin
THe blueSky does have a preset but $299
This sounds like Christian Rock. Seriously, have you ever noticed that?
200.... ahah, yeah no -_-
+David Yeah buy a BigSky instead
Eric sin sinner
nah. Zoom 70 CDR. Costs less and aas heaps of great reverbs in there with and without modulation [plus a horde of delays and Chorus and some extra goodies]. And is also stereo.

Yeah but not the greatest bypass tone, too bad its not TB I have two MS100bt and stopped using them
Eric sin sinner

You really should NOT try to pedal in bypass loop then lol
