- Photoshop CC 2020 tutorial showing how to create vexel art portraits from photos. The term, "vexel" is a combination of the words, "Vector" and "Pixel". Vexel art is an entirely pixel-based, raster art that imitates many of the characteristics of vector-based graphics.

Correct. The Oil Paint filter was introduced in CS6.

Yes! However, Oil Paint is under Filter; not Filter > Stylize.

Is Oil Paint missing or is it grayed out. If it's missing, go to Image > Mode > RGB color, 8 bits/Channel.

As soon as I did the cutout from Filter Gallery, everything greyed out, cant apply anymore filters.
Go to Image > Mode > RGB color, 8 bits/Channel.

I did everything exactly in the order you said, and exactly how you said to do it, but I can't add Brightness/Contrast to my pic. Why not?...I am using CS6. 6:38
Another way to add brightness and contrast is to click the Adjustment Layer icon and click "Brightness/Contrast".

luv your videos... awesome... but you have to stop saying the word CLICK... for some reason, no fault of your own, you over-pronounciate this word... it gets to be distracting as you use this word a lot... a quick fix is to simply replace the word CLICK with SELECT as you make more videos... good stuff... talk soon...
