@lilysvarietyofthings1177 my mother has the same skin tone as me and I often use her foundations! It's a bit hard to find seeing as it's kinda just random drugstore brands 😭
@@Luvisa1 yeah for a few of them, but I’m kind of talking about the first 4 skin tones. She did not add any blue to the first 4. In my opinion, super warm skin tones like that don’t look good unless the entire character has a warm color pallet. It’s safer to neutralize the colors more so it doesn’t look too off. It kind of depends on your style and the character your making but if we’re being more realistic, our skin tones don’t have completely red and yellow hues. So that’s why you should always add at least a little blue to the skin tones of your characters so that it’s more realistic. Obviously realistic isn’t everyones style though but if you were, that would be a good tip.
A big reason why brands don’t offer so many shades is because a lot of the darker shades don’t sell well. They are always the last ones left on the shelves so brands lose money on them
Hi! You should try to make brown and add white in it like: Yellow 20%+red 60%=orange Orange 80%+blue 20%=brown Brown+white(percentage depends on how much lighter you need)=skin shade For different skin shades Skin shade+grey+yellow=pale skin tone Skin shade+red(you can add for pink shade)=red kind of skin I hope this helps!! 🎉
When you draw skin tones and need to lighten or darken it use the opposite of what you used to make the skin tone (ex: add warm colors to make the cool skin shade lighter or darker)
Tip;This actually depends on the paint that you have wether its dark or light so when other people try this out it sometimes doesnt match with the color in the vid. Hope this helped you guys💖
When we make skin colors we shouldn’t add black, since black makes the color look too dull. Instead, we should use blue in light skin tones and dark skin tones too. Only use the primary colors and white when making skin tones. Other than that, good video
oh god, I NEED to use THIS! whenever I try to paint skin tones, it's either too dark, too light, too pale or too bright. The worst part is that they don't even look like actual skin tones, I just add orange and white/black/brown to it. I never get to paint it the way I imagined it would be. Tysm!!!
omg thank youu!! i wanted to make a painting of my mother as a gift but i knew NOTHING about finding/making skin colors by mixing colors!! i always ever used the water paints only but i forgot how to even do that because i've been drawing digitally for so long that my basic painting skills just yeeted off my brain huhuhuuuu,, thank youuu again~~~ time to go paint after so long now wohooo!!
Nah cuz why is everyone always running out of black and white? Even my school's art room committee just bought a big bottle of white and two bottles of black and they ran out in two days-
I like how you didn’t use only light skin tones, bc when I came across another vid it only showed one skin colour but I really needed the dark tones too so thank you so much! ❤
bro has more shades then makeup brands
😂

True
omg 😂
Here before this blows up

no, please don’t put paint on your face!
it can and will cause rashes, stains, acne and will prevent you from being able to breathe

I didn’t see mine😢
@@catronai i think they mean face paint but idk
Plsss make sure to add at least a tiny bit of blue to light skin tones too, otherwise they come out more orange than most makeup foundations.
She did-
I think most artist would render the skin with darker colors so-

Thank you this actually helps a lot
The shades of color are crazy ❤️🔥😭😭🫰🏻😫👽❤️🩹
Okay so now there is absolutely no excuse for makeup brands to not be inclusive
Lmao fr
Facts!!

Fr I’m a amateur artist and I can mix shades so all the big brands surely can too

I like to use color hues to make my skin tones have better saturation but overall I like to try stuff new with making my colors lighter with white!

Thank you !!!!!
Ohhh God that's alot that was the only problem I was having... love u alot ... and thanks ...
this is actually my skin color 🤍🤍
Add a little blue to the top ones 💀 they look orange
Sometimes, that's just some people's style of doing skin color- they make it orange 😭
It's easier if you use limited palette (titanium white, yellow ochre, cadmium red, ivory black). You dont have to worry about the temperature.
My white colour always finished so fast 😩
Relatable ❤

Makeup brands really being beaten by someone who wasn't even trying and still showed us the whole ✨range✨
