@@jacequreshi9993 ehhh they're all great in their own right. Metallica was definitely responsible for bringing the Big 4 to the mainstream but once that happened they lost their edge. Slayer always kept it extremely thrashy but that ultimately led to them never recieving the recognition they truly deserved. Anthrax just never took themselves seriously which is kinda funny cuz all they wanted to do was have fun. Megadeth...there's so much to say about them but to put it simply their musicianship will always be the best out the the Big 4. They were just never as popular as Metallica because so many people are turned off my Dave Mustaine's singing, which sucks because they have amazing music
For sure they were,. Obviously something undeniably devastating happened to them post The Black Album. They were never able to write anything close to anything from MOP or Justice.
The money happened to them. They shot a video for "One", which got them on Mtv. They reached a whole new audience, won their 1st Grammy, and made a whole bunch of money. Had "The Black Album" been written by another band, I probably would have liked it, but after waiting for four years, and feeling like they had improved musically over the course of each album (disregarding the production on "Justice" of course), When I heard the black album, I thought it was a joke. Yes this song is about drugs, but over time it evolved to a song about addiction. The drug, or whatever you're addicted to, is your master and controls your life and is slowly killing you. The song uses lines such as Chop your breakfast on a mirror (putting cocaine into lines on a mirror to snort) or pain monopoly, ritual misery (putting yourself through pain day by day to please the master). Also at the same time the song goes through how the addiction is slowly killing you and filling you with pain and grief. The slower more melodic part (no vocals just guitar and drums) is the small relief you get when you're high or doing whatever it is you do but in the end it goes away only for your pain to be much worse after. The song hits home for a lot of people but mostly to one of the people who wrote it. James Hetfield (vocals and rhythm guitar, he plays guitar while he sings) was addicted to alcohol a long while ago and his wife threatened to kick him out of the house if he didn't clean himself up and so he did and got through it. Tragically he relapsed and just before Covid-19 was alerted to the world, went back into rehab. He is currently out now doing mich better than he was when he went in. The song has turned into an anthem for people who have gotten over an addiction and have lived through pain only to survive and get out. It is considered (voted by the fans worldwide) #1. Best Metallica song out of all of them.
The music: You're hearing it correctly. The music starts out kinda heavy (craving the drug), then the cool guitar melody portion (under the influence of the drug, everything feels good), then the music hits really hard (drug makes you crazy, wanting more, addiction). Musical geniuses!!
You should listen to a song without lyrics next. “Call Of Ktulu” is off of their Ride The Lightning album. This song is so full of meaning. It’s based off of the H. P. Lovecraft novel: “Call of Cthulhu” It portrays the Rise of an ancient, alien, monstrosity that has been asleep for millennia below the Ocean. This being, ‘The Great Old One’ is awakened and rises in the song and it’s so creepy and fantastic. It paints such a vivid story without one word uttered. The growls and screams of Cliff Burton’s bass say it all. That, and how Cliff was inspired by composers such as Bach and Lovecraft, this should absolutely be your next song, even if it’s maybe a forgotten gem, it’s absolutely classic ‘Tallica 🤘
Yeah, listen to "Call of Ktulu", but then listen to "The Prophet" by Gary Moore - THIS will be the ONLY request for it, but will be more than so worth it!...
I was 18yo when my friend died because of drugs. He had it rough since his dad got taken away by cancer and just wasnt himself from that point on. Its like darkness took him and even he didnt know how to escape. We tried to help him but we were too late sadly. This song always makes me cry and pictures of us together doing ordinary stuff rush through my head. Hope you are waiting for us wherever you are champ! You are missed!
I’ve been a huge Metallica fan for a very long time and so many people, who just don’t know, think they are “just another metal band” but once you pay attention to the lyrics and the deeper meaning and listen to the purposeful rhythm changes, you find that they are talking about situations which people all over the world are living. I was really glad to see that you gave them the chance they seriously deserve! I could literally see your brain working and figuring out what they were saying to you! I really appreciate that part
When I first heard the song, I fell in love with it musically. Band geek, and classes through college. Time and key changes, great composition, etc. It wasn't until I started battling addiction with alcohol, cocaine, painkillers, etc. that I truly understood it. You wake up, screaming for a fix, which is the first half of the song. You fight it, knowing what will happen if you do. You take it, and then you get the melodic part of the song. Life feels "normal" again, and the pain and suffering in your head is gone. Then you come crashing down, and it's a fucking nightmare all over again.
I grew up in the 80's listening to Metallica primarily as a kid. My first "tape" was master of puppets in 1986. The first song to ever provoke an emotion in me was the instrumental Orion from that album. It definitely can take you on an emotional roller coaster without even singing a note. Highly recommended.
Orion shaped everything about my musical tastes, from my playing, to my predisposition for prog, to melody, without feeling the need to show off. It's one of the most elegant songs ever constructed.
Jaycob, same as me my friend! I was in a Punk/Metal (NOT Thrash!) band in the early 1990's. I couldn't do a gig without amphetamines and a pint of beer between every song at our gigs. I suppose the addiction started around 1988 and I finally woke up to the damage it was causing in my life in 2004. Speed and E's ruined every relationship that I had, and yes, looking back now it WAS my master. I'm OK now, and I hope you are too. And I'll also agree, Slanzzy is absolutely gorgeous!!!
@@kennethryan4824 Good luck with everything Kenneth. Just make sure you have people around you that understand what you are going through. My dad was the catalyst behind my recovery. The most understanding, patient man I ever knew, even though I put him through Hell sometimes with my antics. Unfortunately he died 10 years ago, but whenever I feel I'm losing control, I think of him and I get my mind back to reality. I just wish I could have had his strength from the start.
You want deep lyrics? Dyer's Eve is a GOOD one, For Whom The Bells Toll, Creeping Death, Trapped Under Ice, Ride the Lightning, Welcome Home Sanitarium are ALL really strong lyrically.
Agree. And Welcome Home (Sanitaruim) is actually a pretty beautiful and melodic song, the girl certainly would like it. So I vote for Welcome Home (Sanitarium).
Any of the Cliff albums are going to be raw and more in your face after cliff died they kinda became more of “household name” so while still intense just lost some of the raw energy. I mean compare Kill’em all (album) to Justice Inc both great albums but the rawness just isn’t there imo
Dyers Eve is the best song Metallica has ever made and I will forever stand by that. It’s their highest intensity song, with a message as deep and important as Fade To Black.
I like the added replay of the song as you give your response at the end of the song, nice touch there. Good quick edits to make it more rapid fire thoughts. Very good job. 🤘
The part where you said "I found this part pretty emotional, what do you think?" Is the reason I fell in love with this song. When his voice fades away saying "Master... Master... master..." and the acoustic guitar comes in with the amazing harmonies... I was floored. Never heard anything like it.
Randomly found your channel 20 minutes ago. After watching both Metallica videos I thought “She has to do Master of Puppets next”. Click on the channel - this is uploaded. Good timing.
There's a reason that Metallica is one of the biggest bands to have ever existed, and by far the biggest "metal" band to have ever been. James's lyrics are super intelligent, and the music/symphonies are well crafted. When this album came out in 1986... other metal bands were singing about killing and torture, etc... Metallica was one of the only bands in this genre who's lyrics matched the sophisticated compositions. I think that this is why they continue to be looked at as a band that others measure themselves to.
Yeah one example: Metallica - Four Horsemen (possible biblical meaning) Megadeth - Mechanix. Meaning? I fucked a girl (possibly in a garage/car) Not to hate on Megadeth, I fucking love Megadeth but their lyrics ain't the best
Mete tural.._totally agree. I've always used those two songs to illustrate the difference between the two bands. Daves vision vs. Metallicas vision for the same song. They both got what they wanted. Dave wrote sweet riffs and wanted to show off how fast he could play and have childish lyrics. He got a hard song to play and show off with while Metallica got a metal masterpiece.
@@metetural9140 you are hating on megadeth , they have plenty of songs with good lyrics just like metallica. butyou only mentioned one with bad topic , what a reasoning
@@metetural9140 Megadeth has amazing lyrics, maybe u dont get that cause ur a little dumb, Mustaine writes most of them and are in fact a very smart man wich u can see in the lyrics
A great song! I saw a few of your reaction videos and I like very much how you read between the lines, discover the amzing core which made those songs great. I really appreciate this very much.
Please, please react to the below songs: Pantera - Cemetery Gates Metallica - Welcome Home (Sanitarium) Megadeth - In My Darkest Hour Testament - The Legacy Alice In Chains - Would? Pearl Jam - Alive
I always found the change up to resemble the high or euphoria of whatever drug you're on it only last for a little bit then the hard beating drums start coming back and you need more
I’d highly recommend Disposable Heroes by Metallica, about soldiers given no meaning in life other than to serve for war, and is extremely thrash as hell, and you’ll defo love it
This song has been a part of my life for so long now, I can't remember what it was like listening to it for the first time. Thanks for the perspective.
Another avenue of Metallica you should explore as a musician is Metallica S&M. Now some Metallica fans would disagree, but S&M is a LIVE concert that was done with The San Francisco Symphony Orchestra and it was absolutely awesome...Chills the whole time. They reworked their songs and played with them. They also did a new one that will be released this year. It was so original at the time. Heavy metal with an orchestra was unheard of until Metallica did it. I'm curious what you would think of it.
@@philipacoleman If you're talking about Al Pitrelli, don't forget about his time with Alice Cooper, Megadeth and Dee Snider in addition. A short stint with Blue Oyster Cult as well, but I don't think he was an official member but was filling in for during Allen Lanier's illness.
What I found most impactful was the song structure. The music tells as much a story as the lyrics. You nailed the beginning and ending. Urgent and chaotic. The part in the middle is the puppet actually getting high. It is beautiful for a short time and then it slowly changes. As if the puppet is coming down and the chaos of withdrawl
James and Lars wrote this song out of disgust of seeing so many people do drugs at parties and just end up lifeless and addicted. Then James had his own battle with drugs, but that was much later.
Disposable Heroes....please.....it will blow your mind and make you realize that Metallica is one of the 4-5 most influental bands ever....and still after 39 years they are undefeated as the best live band on the planet....
The nice thing about your reactions is that you actually talk about specific points of three songs and give your take on them. A lot of reaction UA-camrs just sit there and say "wow, nice" or "this is fast, man they're good"
Loved your reaction to Master of Puppets. I grew up listening to this in the 80. I got hurt while in the military and ended up with a horrible addiction to pain medicine which lead to heroin. I've been clean for over 10yrs now and when I need a reality check and to remember what I went thru to avoid the pain again ( hope that makes sense) I listen to this. Again thanks for the reaction.
Metallica wrote songs from their life experiences. James Hatfield, the lead singer experienced addictions for years and the band is STILL together! His band mates helped him through the hard times and rehab several times. The last interview I saw with him he seemed to be clean and doing well. They've released an album not to long ago. They are LEDGENDS, WORLDWIDE!
We've missed you, thanks for another Metallica reaction. Give "Outlaw Torn" or "No Leaf Clover" a try of Metallica's S&M album, they are accompanied by a full orchestra. Also, how about Tool - Pneuma or Tool - Invincible. We'll just throw you into the deep end with Tool
Each one of their songs is a journey and a indenyable influence in so many ways on your emotions . Some times you can't express in the right words how it impacts you .
"chop your breakfast on a mirror" is also one of my favourite lines, it's so simple but so clever. It's so artistic, so visual, it's descriptive but also so deep in the sense that it captures the sad reality of the situation of a person so addicted that they literally wake up and do coke. So much said in just a few words, it's brilliant.
That's a good point about parents turning their kids away from Metallica, the old stereotype about metal being 'satanic' or whatever I guess. Then you listen to the lyrics and they're actually telling a story about the real experience, the horrors of addiction or war or whatever. Anyway, nice reaction, you got it in one. And you're gorgeous.
The breakdowns went through the mentality at the end, picking up symbolizing the rush of anticipation, the slow down symbolizing the euphoric rush of the drug and picking back up with the need for more, crashing, and possibly the self disgust
Some songs that you will love, The Unforgiven, truly captivating lyrics and an amazing sound, really quite different at the time. Welcome Home: Sanitarium, another ballad, not as popular as the others but is still great. The Outlaw Torn: A song from the most underrated Metallica album, this is when people went full 'metallica have sold out', though it's incredible and most fans agree.
you're about right on all points, but just to clarify: the solos are more or less the feeling of the drug high and the crash afterwards I'd recommend you listen to Metallica - Orion and the bass-only version of both Master of Puppets and Orion (you may find some mighty interesting things about the song on the bass tracks)
If you realized in the song the melodic solo only lasts for a. Short moment. Everything thing else is basically crashing and going nuts in the mind of "addiction"
That specific insight had not occurred to me yet, even though I’ve been a die hard fan since high school. That it starts hard and fast representing a drug high, then progresses to a crash. F’ing brilliant
Damn Girl, keep your course. I loved the way you made your Videos without comment. Seeing your Reactions is enough! Talking about it afterwards is absolutely fine and neccessary. But keep the Songs rolling! Love your Vids, you're very nice to look at :-)
Coming from someone who used to be an addict, I find this to be the most impactful and truthful of anti-drug songs, as well as one of the overall best songs of all time.
I was lucky enough to see that part live in 86 and 88 Monster's of Rock at the Hoosier doom the ocean of hair still is a vivid memory of everyone on the floor banging it out. Awesome memory
Great insight involving an incredible tune. But sorry, I just have to say...she's not only extremely easy to listen to she's also absolutely gorgeous. Speaking in a very positive viewpoint of course. Great job & a great video!
When a band can tell a story not only through lyrics, but the music as well, really hits home to me. I get goosebumps when I watch people get the same feeling I do from a song that delivers a powerful message through both lyrics and music. Thanks for giving me the same feeling I get when I heard this for the first time.
Metallica has gotten me through some really tough times in my life. I have had depression for a very long time and medal especially metallica has really saved my life a couple times. If you haven't yet you should react to "Fade to black" by metallica I'm very close to that song.
I encourage you to react to one or both of these instrumentals by Metallica....Orion or To Live Is To Die. Both are beautiful (and somewhat unexpected) pieces of music.
This was the song back when I was a teenager that made me buy my first guitar. I have since switched to drums but I must thank them for getting me into learning my first instrument. music is a big part of my life. awesome to see someone else enjoying Metallica who never paid much attention to them :D
The part you thought was emotional... the solo... for me, 30ish years after first hearing it, yep. It’s massively emotional. It’s amazing how some people can make a guitar "speak" SO clearly! P.S. Almost all Metallica songs (at least from the first 4 albums, which I love best) have intricately beautiful instrumental bits. Orion from the Master of Puppets is completely instrumental. Listen to that; you’ll definitely feel something!
Hard to convey just how much excitement this was for 15 year olds like me when I was in what was called Jr High School back then. This album blew our minds!!! It was really a progressive, extreme metal at that time. The tempo, tempo changes, and the less melodic and very aggressive nature were a little hard to digest for older "traditional metal heads"....but for kids my age that got it , it was an extreme shot of eye opening life. Late 40's now and I don't see most of my fellow metal friends anymore....some have died....but none of us ever stopped loving this album or metal . This song has aged as well as me lol. Cheers to new and old metal fans !!!!
Spot on mate. My thoughts exactly. Born in 73 here so was about the same age. My brother three years older than me got me into metal, but he never got into Metallica until about five years ago. He played me motorbreath by Metallica that he taped off the radio and I was instantly hooked. I started getting into Metallica and Maiden, But he never got it. He thought, believe it or not that they were too heavy and fast and the music would never last. How much metal has come after? It was played to me at a time when it was like hearing sonic speed and i was instantly hooked. Fantastic times.
@@andydrummer3754 nothing like being young and hearing good music. That high is hard to get from music now....but that's why we are here. Seeing a new and very attractive face getting excited for our music is like living it again.....almost lol. Cheers !!!
@@theloveofsin I still get the high. Not as big as 15 and putting on my second album I bought and hearing the start of helpless on garage days from Metallica. Or hearing puppets or sanitarium for the first time, but it's still there. Bought Judas priest CD the other day and playing in my car track 12 started resonating with me. Tapping away at the lights on the steering wheel and trying to figure out the drum parts. Still get excited discovering new metal this day and age ( power metal and anything related to helloween) , but the big difference is I don't have any body Left in my life to share it with. Just like religion, I keep it to myself.
Nice comment, same here. The energy rush I got as a teenager listening to Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning and Kill ‘Em All in the late 80s is something I’ll never forget. Still listen to these albums now in my late 40s. I thank the school friends who got me into Metallica, they were obsessed with them whereas I initially thought they were too heavy but I soon got hooked.
It's even more amazing when you know James Hetfield is playing all those notes of the intro riff in downstrokes ONLY and he is also the lead singer. A true legend of rock and metal! The middle section where it gets quiet is a classic part influenced by their late bassist, Cliff Burton's love of classical music. Glad you dig this amazing band, I love the style of your reactions. You have a lot of respect for the music, excellent!
Thanks, that song has so much meaning, I've been battling addiction for 30 years. I'm losing right now. I appreciate that you do your homework and realize that the band has had so many songs that have a social impact
Hi, would you consider giving Opeth a shot? They started as a death/prog band, but there's a lot of beautiful music with softer vocals. Windowpane, Hours of Wealth, Burden, Folklore, Faith in Others - you will like that. Oh, and since you did Jinjer before, Opeth is one of their influences, though Opeth moved from growl/clean vocals to only clean vocals in the last, I don't know - 10 years perhaps. Feeling old :)
I would also love to see more Opeth reactions. "In Mist She Was Standing" and "The Twilight Is My Robe" are two really great songs from their first album.
@@CaracarnVi Probably too heavy for someone who is not used to death growls. I think the clean ones are a better start into the Opeth universe. Maybe Face of Melinda

My first wife had never heard Metallica prior to my introducing it to her as well. We were both band geeks thru high school so we both had a fundamental musical understanding. I've always said, the time changes within Metallicas music are what makes it different from anything else, (at that time) and probably the biggest reason they are my favorite band. You CAN play THAT hard but still, musically speaking, play phenomenal music. Anyway, she's been a diehard Metallica fan since those days, so, I consider my job done. 😁

Yes, and crescendo part: Awake before drugs effects, uncertainty, remorse and treason feelings.
You should listen to a song without lyrics next.
“Call Of Ktulu” is off of their Ride The Lightning album. This song is so full of meaning. It’s based off of the H. P. Lovecraft novel: “Call of Cthulhu”
It portrays the Rise of an ancient, alien, monstrosity that has been asleep for millennia below the Ocean.
By the by, you’re not going to get many request for this song, but trust me girl, it’s so worth it
Ride the lighting was a killer album
Best metal instrumental ever.
@@kyles5513 Can''t really choose between the Call and Orion...
He's up there looking down on you my friend. I guarantee he misses you too.
my condolences 😭😢
Next: Welcome Home (Sanitarium) on the same album by Metallica.
Yep this one also
barfo281 for some reason it doesn’t get reacted to enough.
Lyrically and musically is perfect..so it should be the next one.
Oh yeah actually, the three iconic early "ballads." We've got One and Fade to Black down, just Sanitarium left.
I'll cut to the chase, "Welcome Home, Sanitarium" - Metallica (Master of Puppets)
Yes Sanitarium! Even if you don't do a video, you must listen. Excellent song!
My favourite Metallica song.
Great song
Anything from the Black album or older is 15X PLATINUM.
This is by far one of my favorite songs by them. I’m surprised this is not a song people react to.
I've literally never thought about it that way. Your explanation of the slow part in the middle then going heavy again is perfect. Thank you!
@@jakefoster5611 Yeah, Joey got what James intended. Very impressive song writing.
I am SO jealous of you listening to this song for the first time...
I'm old school. Give me 'The Four Horsemen"

Definitely the old old stuff. Anything off of "Kill Em All" or "Ride the Lightning".
Give me seek and destroy!!
Pfft you want old scool done right? Give us "Whiplash" off of Live shit binge and purge thats metal!
Horse! Motor! Stone!
Hit The lights and phantom Lord for me.
You must listen to the Unforgiven and Nothing Else Matters by MetallicA. ASAP
Just do a Vid for each song From Kill em All to the Black album!
Un4 and Nothing=Metallica for teens
Can't say how refreshing it is to hear a reaction by someone who actually thinks.
Drugs were my MASTER for 17 years
This song is the perfect description of drug addiction and my favorite on this album. Great job gorgeous!
Amen Jaycob. In recovery myself . Stay strong brother.
So I vote for Welcome Home (Sanitarium).
listen to this guy... he knows what is talking about!!!
FWTBT #1
Any of the Cliff albums are going to be raw and more in your face after cliff died they kinda became more of “household name” so while still intense just lost some of the raw energy. I mean compare Kill’em all (album) to Justice Inc both great albums but the rawness just isn’t there imo
You can't forget Battery
Dyers Eve is the best song Metallica has ever made and I will forever stand by that. It’s their highest intensity song, with a message as deep and important as Fade To Black.
I think it’s fun watching people slowly evolve into metal heads
"The voice is leading you to doom ... and death ..." that is the metallest thing I've heard all day, haha
When I first heard this song, I had no idea it was about drugs and thought it was about how I was getting addicted to Metallica and metal in general
Absolutely beautiful woman listening to a legendary track, what's not to like?
Totally agree!
Simp
Shes one of a kind, thats for sure!
She only has room for one stalker in her life.
She's absolutely stunning
To me this is metallica’s absolutely best song! Glad you enjoyed and understood what it was about
Randomly found your channel 20 minutes ago.
Totally agree, well said.
Yeah one example:
Metallica - Four Horsemen (possible biblical meaning)
Megadeth - Mechanix. Meaning? I fucked a girl (possibly in a garage/car)
Not to hate on Megadeth, I fucking love Megadeth but their lyrics ain't the best
By the end even beautiful little acoustic girl is headbanging, haha, you can't not headbang!
Please, please react to the below songs:
Pantera - Cemetery Gates
Metallica - Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Megadeth - In My Darkest Hour
Testament - The Legacy
Alice In Chains - Would?
Pearl Jam - Alive
Cemetery Gates all the way!.
Second the Pantera recommendation!
Cemetery Gates :3
Yeah we need Pantera reviews here. Great songs on all albums
Megadeth is, whether people like it or not, the “brother” band to Metallica. Megadeth reactions would be AWESOME.
I always found the change up to resemble the high or euphoria of whatever drug you're on it only last for a little bit then the hard beating drums start coming back and you need more
I’d highly recommend Disposable Heroes by Metallica, about soldiers given no meaning in life other than to serve for war, and is extremely thrash as hell, and you’ll defo love it
FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS is a must and then Welcome Home Sanitarium. Seriously, you could do anything from the first 4 albums.
6 albums! Don't forget about their black album and Garge Days Revisited: $5.89 EP
This song has been a part of my life for so long now, I can't remember what it was like listening to it for the first time. Thanks for the perspective.
You nailed it. Please try Bleeding Me and Creeping Death. Awsome Metallica songs
Iron Maiden-Hallowed be thy Name would be an awesome reaction.
Oh yeah I forgot about that song, would be a great reaction video.
I was 13 when this came out. I still listen to it to this day and it still gets me. And yes, I was surprised that you got it.
'The Thing That Should Not Be' scared the shit out of me aged 17!!
Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Came from Savatage. They also play with an orchestra. Savatage and TSO are both well worth the time.
Actually rocks bands have been doing it since the 60's, Metallica was just the biggest name to do it in '99. Followed by the Scorpions in 2000.
S&M sooooooo amazing.
Totally agree as a pure Metallica fan S&M is a breathe of fresh air in their discography
I love watching you discovering metal and your very articulate descriptions of what you heard. Great channel.
Man it feels like I've waited an eternity since the last reaction video
!!!! i knoooow! im sorry!

A day to remember- Mr highways thinking about the end
Powerfully emotional another must listen. One of my many favorites
Now it's time to go into The Unforgiven Trilogy.
And, as you clearly like the sophisticated instrumental parts, Orion and Call of Cthulu.
James and Lars wrote this song out of disgust of seeing so many people do drugs at parties and just end up lifeless and addicted. Then James had his own battle with drugs, but that was much later.
Beautiful young lady. Thank you for keeping the 80s metal alive.
"Cemetery Gates" by Pantera you're welcome!
But it has to be the album version that includes the intro!
Goods suggestion!
Amazing song
Domination*
Creeping Death is my all-time favorite Metallica song!!!!
Its amazing to see an open minded ( beautiful) young woman , listening , and feeling and getting, the music ive lived by for 30 yrs!
Disposable Heroes....please.....it will blow your mind and make you realize that Metallica is one of the 4-5 most influental bands ever....and still after 39 years they are undefeated as the best live band on the planet....
My favorite Metallica song. Lyrics are incredible.
Such a criminally underrated song.

2nd these Metallica songs!!!
Good sugestions. Second that!
For me, the Tool entry point has to be 46&2, then go into the deep end. It's a difficult band to understand I feel it needs a slow entrance.
@@VoltesWithElias I agree 46&2 is a great entry into Tool, and should snag her hook line and sinker.
Yes to Tool!
The Day that never comes is another great one to Listen to Try it
yes you WOULD like to see it live! They are amazing on stage.
You were awesome. I think nothing else matters is a song for you.
The breakdowns went through the mentality at the end, picking up symbolizing the rush of anticipation, the slow down symbolizing the euphoric rush of the drug and picking back up with the need for more, crashing, and possibly the self disgust
I remember when this came out. Blew people away. Sounded so good on vinyl. Cool reaction BTW. Good analysis.
Some songs that you will love,
The Unforgiven, truly captivating lyrics and an amazing sound, really quite different at the time.
Welcome Home: Sanitarium, another ballad, not as popular as the others but is still great.
The Outlaw Torn: A song from the most underrated Metallica album, this is when people went full 'metallica have sold out', though it's incredible and most fans agree.
Love your reactions, your takes are spot on. Thanks. So much more to listen to...take your pick.
you're about right on all points, but just to clarify: the solos are more or less the feeling of the drug high and the crash afterwards
I'd recommend you listen to Metallica - Orion and the bass-only version of both Master of Puppets and Orion (you may find some mighty interesting things about the song on the bass tracks)
ohhhh that totally makes sense actually. thanks for your reply!
Orion is a timeless masterpiece.Just to confirm this piece of art :)
Agreed, Orion is my favorite of the Metallica instrumentals. Nothing to do but just sit back and enjoy the music.
Coke is a heck of a drug
..lost three motorcycles because of it....
Lol took about 34 years for normal people to get this song i guess.
What a snobbish remark.
@@Meine.Postma Bollocks.
Its the truth Random!..well said!
Honestly dude xD, instead of studying the lyrics, they just threw it away because it was different and "just a bunch of screaming"
Normal sucks though!
Great job & a great video!
slowly watching a new metallica fan being made
When a band can tell a story not only through lyrics, but the music as well, really hits home to me.
If you haven't yet you should react to "Fade to black" by metallica
I'm very close to that song.
She has reacted to it, check her channel, she really felt it!
I encourage you to react to one or both of these instrumentals by Metallica....Orion or To Live Is To Die. Both are beautiful (and somewhat unexpected) pieces of music.
Call of kutulu is the best
The look on your face at the end is classic :P
One of the greatest songs ever written
Songs about drugs
“ Chop your breakfast on a mirror “
Wintersun- Loneliness(Winter). A showcase of unfiltered sadness and through vocal and instrumental prowess and ambiance.
