Compassion fatigue is real. Whether you look after horses, the elderly, children and people with needs, your family, dogs, chickens, the environment...you never can do it all yourself all of the time. Many hands make light work and always remember it takes a village to raise a child or to get a charity off the ground. Well done to all!
Amazing. " Let's do it, let's end horse slaughter" LOVEIT!!!!
Nothing worth doing come easy, butt youlot are doing such A GOOD JOB 👍 BESS and Gigolo, keep going BESS and GIGOLO my 🐈
That’s 120horses saved from being some kind of 🍲,HOW IT SHOULD BE Bess/gig
I'm so happy Cindy is in WI helping horses with Pony Tales and her amazing team.
It’s good to see behind the scenes of what it takes to get a charity up and running all the while caring for the horses. It’s rewarding but a struggle at the same time. Great episode.
Having all the pastures lead to a communal run, that leads into catch pens, is such a common sense set up. And yet, I've only seen it in ONE stable, out of the many dozens I've worked at and boarded my horse in. I was so happy to see all the progress Pony Tales has made in a year. I'm so proud of them. :)
They've come along so beautifully. I hope that they continue growing. High-five Pony tails.
Always add a comfy bunkhouse area....some Peoples need homes too...especially volunteers...❤️❤️
how wonderful to see so many people coming by to see the horses and think of adopting them. hope they find a lovely home!
I don't live that far from Pony Tales and I LOVE WORKING WITH HORSES! Pony tales is one of my most favorite rescues!
Wow guys, All of you working together paid off. The learning curve is that you can't do it all alone. You have to be able to let go and allow others to take over and do what they are good at. Pony Tails looks to be doing wonderful. I hope it will keep growing and the are able to help many more animals in the future. Once they truly succeed, maybe the owners of PT can do the teaching with another rescue that needs help. So proud of everyone who had a hand in this. Congratulations, many years of success to come for all.
love to see cindy smile more!!
PonyTails organization has grown so much! Just beautiful so incredible! You are a blessing to the horses! ❤️❤️❤️
So much love to Cindy. I have a hard time delegating for even small tasks. I couldn't imagine what it would feel like to have to give up tasks in such an important organization. It's not so much that others cannot be trusted; rather, it's that if something goes wrong, it's squarely my fault. And also honestly, I know it was probably hard for the Pony Tales team to keep this conversation in the episode, but it is exemplary of what a healthy conversation about resolving conflict looks like. It was a breath of fresh air to see, especially with how dramatic and divisive the world has gotten. And I am so happy that Pony Tales has really taken off! You all do wonderful work ♥
HUGE PROPS to Pony Tailes😍😍the first step of delegating is ALWAYS the hardest! I am so proud of you Tawnee & Jason and the family of Pony Tales for all the hard work💝
I loooove Cindy, she totally speals to someone like me who doesn’t have it all together but still giving the most they can and more!
Hi Ta, that’s Cindy and Nate are wonderful people. He is just so nice and she is so conscientious about her business and organization and thank you Jason and Tony for helping now I know you’ve been a big help and I’m sure they appreciate it. Skippy is beautiful, his face and his blaze over those eyes. He’s beautiful I like him he doesn’t act too crazy to me, but we’ll see as his training goes on.
What an amazing story! The transformation of Pony Tales is amazing, just shows that when you have team work everything will come together! The smiles on the staffs faces made me cry happy tears. Great job of mentoring Tawnee & Jason !
Loved your sensitivity in getting the ladies on the same page. Looking forward to see who you mentor next with this brilliant program 🌟✨
This one made me cry. Amazing, amazing, amazing.
I loved that Lady’s excitement at the end 🖤 I cried with her a little 🤣 Great job HPHS and Pony Tails 🐴🖤🐴 Thank you for all you do 🖤🐴🖤
I think Cindy wanted to achieve more but was feeling the compassion fatigue to such a degree that she had trouble getting past feeling she was not being appreciated. That would stop any communication in its tracks. She is not to blame for anything she was the little engine that started it all. Most people can relate to being overwhelmed and her helpers understand better than she realizes. That’s where Tawnies mentor ship and communication skills came in handy to get her where she wanted to be. She obviously worked very hard for something she really believes in. You too Tawnie, but getting to the next level is definitely a growth experience. Boils down to growing pains. Tricky but you all have helped. Good job all around. Keep looking up 🌹
Bless her heart, I think she's fearful of failure...it's safer for her to just stop than to push through the fear and win.
she needs to see that.
Thank you for helping pony tails. I live in Wisconsin and we don't have many here. My mom did talk to her, and she yelled at my mom. Maybe things will be better
That is so awesome all y'all are angels for horses
I would love to turn our farm into somthing like this.
You got this "Pony Tails" So so proud of everyone. You guys did it. 🐴🐎💞💞😍
AMAZING WORK GUYS..YOU WILL END HORSE SLAUGHTER BY THE WORK THAT YOUR DOING. GOD BLESS YOU.
Love the strong love for horses and the mentoring for success! What a blessing ❣️The talking about compassion fatigue is so valuable! I usually have tears of sadness and joy watching your videos. Thank you all! I'd love being there to help and learn to love more. ❤️🌿
thanks for showing the hard stuff its important to remember the struggle, then the good stuff is that much more important
The horse's are beautiful and handsome. Ponytails congratulations 🎊🎈🎉 on your new barn.
Congratulations Horse Plus. I believe fully that you've come up with the winning model to save thousands of horses' lives. By networking and mentoring the full-circle life with other not-for-profits I truly believe you can end the slaughter.
Congratulations to Pony Tale Refuge for making the program work, not giving up, and pushing through to see a great victory. You did it!!!!
Stunning! And this is the best episode yet! Congratulations all around! Thank you for being up to something big in the world!
Is LeeAnn still with Pony Tails?
@@abundantliving08 - LeeAnne ended ending up getting another job which took her away from Pony Tales.
Thanks for replying!
Amazing from vision to reality
Helping others that is what we re here for
Thank you so much for working so hard and caring
As an employer myself, you have to understand when you have that role that not everything your employees do is going to be to your satisfaction. What you very quickly need to understand is if someone is doing their best work and has your guidance, then you'll get an outcome that works. It may not work in exactly the way you wanted it to but does it fulfils the brief? Employees can't read your mind nor do they like to be told everything they do is wrong. Last of all, they need to know that they're doing a good job and that you've noticed it. You can't keep telling them they're not doing things right or they'll just give up.
If they don't do the job.. they have to be reminded of what you are expecting them to do...
They can't be told that they are doing an amazing job.. if they are not
I love all the work you do for these horses and other shelters, you guys are amazing!
I totally totally agree with Megan below many hands make light work no way can one person run this kind of business I’m so happy you ladies figured it all out and now you all look so happy like one big family which is now working very well. I applaud you all.tfs😎
I want to say to pony tails. Congratulations on your new Bran. And I hope that every one can work together too. I hope Cindy lets people to help her too.

What a fantastic transformation. The model is working beautifully.
This was inspiring and educational. Thank you.
Great Job, guys!
The Stable is so huge - maybe it could be possible to build a second story in? A heyloft or storrage or another set of stalls.... !?
So, so very cool! WHEN I win the lottery, I won't forget you guys. That's a promise.
People can't point fingers at someone else. They all have to work as a team.
❤️❤️❤️❤️ so proud of you all
what wonderful people to do this for horses
I just love these two and the way the work things out. Great teamwork.
Wow so good to see Pony Tails progress...

💜❤💙💚💛💜💓💕🐴🐎🏇
Watching this makes me feel like some people areachley are thicnnking adout things who an not talk for them selves,THNKYOU
Keep doing what you are doing saving horses is awesome but for me being a 100 %horse girl it is hard for me to see horses suffer
Pony Tales looks great! Loved to see them working with Skippy. The only thing I don't like to see is that the staff are getting on without helmets! Especially with a horse that's had a history of being "dangerous."
Every organization has to make their own helmet riding policy, here at Horse Plus we require all people riding a horse to wear a helmet. We did talk with ponytails in regards to helmet policies, but our mentoring is not mandatory just suggestions on how to make the organization stronger, we encourage and direct.
@@hphs Makes sense, thanks for the info!!
I want to work with horses..im good at it ...
You guys are so inspiring love your videos
i agree with the eval from the lady from ponytails on the horse skippy it amazing me hope that horse is not bad the rider was bad for him i use too deal with cows and out of all that time i was kick by a calf once and a bull and me got in a scuff once he won but after that the bull and i had a agreement he does what i ask of him and i would spoil him just a bit i worked with him for 10 years and he never came at me again and all it takes is love of the animals
Fantastic!!!
Awesome 💕😍😍😍😍😍😍
♥️
good job
We need to get funds for pony tails
On average what percentage of horses that you rescue are able to be rehabilitated/rehomed?
Love Cindy... And her compassion...
I don't think she has the right team..
They are playing the blame game!!!!
They say we.. but they mean her... Not okay
How many horses does Pony Tails and Horse Plus generally have at one time? How much land do they have to utilize for them? I'm in Canada and I'm trying to think of things to do with the 6-8 acres of farm land my husband and I will inherit some day.
Fruit trees! :-) though I should really ask what part of Canada first. 😉
@@howdoyouknowthat Haha Okanagan Valley, BC :)
@@Elizadeath not to different than us then :-) we're a half hour or so north of Seattle. So yeah, fruit trees :-) If it were me I'd plant seeds and pits from all my favorite apples, grapes, cherries, plums, and if you've got the heat for it things like apricots and peaches. Disturb and enrich the dirt just a little, shape the ground a bit so rainwater would collect a bit around the baby trees, and let them grow virtually untended until you inherit. By then you should have a small orchard.
None of those fruits "breed true" so some of your young trees will produce fruit you've no interest in eating & you can cut them down. Others will produce something delicious, and if you get very lucky one of them will produce a new variety so spectacular you can sell it for good money. :-)
If it's in an accessible location, you could even open your orchard as a community food resource. Down here people also create community gardens of various types.
Have fun! :-)
GET ON WITH RESCUING THE HORSES SOD THE TOUR OF EVERYONE ELSES PLACES.
"Put the horses first" shouldn't be true. Because if you don't take care of yourself, you aren't giving the best of you to your horse. Which is not fair to them! This is much like compassion fatigue!
Can u direct me to ur program.....great idea💖
Is pony tales adopting out horses for riding that are still thin instead of waiting until they are filled out and healthy?!
No helmet on a horse you don't know? And you adopt horses to people with no riding experience? Well all I can say is that I hope it all works out!
Every organization has to make their own helmet riding policy, here at Horse Plus we require all people riding a horse to wear a helmet. We did talk with ponytails in regards to helmet policies, but our mentoring is not mandatory just suggestions on how to make the organization stronger, we encourage and direct. The family that adopted the horse and the episode are doing extremely well with the horse and absolutely love her. We recently saw an update from the family and how adopting a horse has changed their world and how much they love her. Just because an adopter is a first-time horse owner does not mean they should not be able to adopt a horse, we all started somewhere and if somebody is willing to work with trainers, get riding lessons, etc. they can be an excellent family to adopt a horse.
None of my business, but this is your project, if they don't like the rules they can leave.
Honestly.. Why are Cindy not the person showing her around...
I honestly don't like the trianers adetude.. she is definitely... Taking all the credit.. that should be for Nate and Cindy...
They should get new people in instead... Just my opinion..
I can’t understand that I had missed season ONE of Horse Rescue Heroes!?!! These episodes were great!!!👍🏻 I think you should encourage more people to go back and watch “the beginning “. @HPHS #HPHS @HorsePlusHumaneSociety
