Came here because I took my fuel pump out and forgot the orientation, there's no markings on the pump so your video was a lifesaver. Thanks!
Also the random black kitten walking through the video was appreciated 👍

I have 87 bronco two gas tanks rusted out had to put another gas tank in with a in-line fuel pump on it. I’m getting gas up to the fuel rail and can start. It was a gas on the rag and there’s gas in the rag runs out it I can’t get a pick up pick up the gas.

Check and see if the second fuel pump is restricting the fuel. There should be one in the tank and a second one on the inside of the frame if it's like mine

I have an 86 that turns off after a few seconds up to a minute, after a few (sometimes more than a few) tries it stays on fine. Problem started when it got cold. I'm thinking fuel pumps or pressure regulator. Do you have any thoughts?

My instincts say one of the fuel pumps . Still replace your fuel filter first. Then replace the regulator which is around twenty to buy online. It's an old vehicle replace these cheaper and easier things first. I would replace them first hope that helps.
