- So after looking at several videos that claim to show how to remove the fuel pump from a 1988 Ford Bronco II and them not ACTUALLY showing how to remove it I decided to film my own video for those who actually want to see how to do it real time. This isn't the greatest video and it was really hard filming this video but I got it done for the most part. The only part I didn't show was snaking it out between the drive shaft and the bottom of the truck. That's the part they did show in another video. I'll drop the link to that video below. So here's to the actual tutorials of how to do things.

Hell Yeah!!! Two days I've been wasting my time with worthless videos. Thank You man!!!
You're welcome
Damn… one hand filming. The other hand doing the work. Maybe… one cuss word. Mad props and much respect. Great video. I’m currently getting set to bring my 86 B2 back to life. Glad I found your channel.
the first bronco i had was an 86 i bought this one over a decade later because i got ran off the road in my first one and flipped it. i've missed it ever since. the bronco will be back soon stay tuned. this btw was not easy to film at all! trust me i cussed more in my head than i did out loud. thanks so much for watching and for the kind words they are much appreciated!
Real person with the real struggle! Respect!!!
thanks so much i appreciate it!!!
Ty for showing actual footage on how to remove the pump an reinstall it....keep up the great work!!!!
Thanks for watching! At some point i hope to film this a little better but I hope it helped some.
Holy shit! This video ACTUALLY HELPED! Thank you!!
You're very welcome
My struggle was the electrical part. Extremely glad someone showed how to get it off. I watched the video you're talking about first and it was no help. Mine is an '89 Bronco, so barely any difference than what you were working on. Thanks for your video.
you're very welcome glad you got it done
Love your detailed steps. Much needed!
Appreciate taking the time to show the clips. Thank you much
Your very welcome
I like your style on showing the actual repair on stuff and I have a 89 Bronco II Eddie Bauer Edition That needs the Fuel Pump replaced and I'm not sure if it only has 1 pump or two but this high pressure pump replacement you showed is a great help and I just Subscribed to your channel. Thanks and I'm always looking for content on this type of diy stuff and lawn and garden equipment repairs
Thanks so much! It has 2 there is a low pressure one in the tank as well
Solid video, appreciate ya!
Awesome. Thanks. Helped me a lot.
Good job
Glad someone did it step by step maam. I got dizzy a few times mange to control my head lmao. Maybe you can help as well. I have an 86 bronco 2 excat like yours. I think I have to replace both pumps cause it just cranks over no start. Starts with ether so I know one of them is bad huh. How can you and I communicate with each other I could use a hand or two
have you checked your inertia switch it could be that its a common faulty thing. inertia switch will cut fuel
That's the switch on the passenger side door under dashboard?
Great video
This is an awesome and helpful vid thanks You Rock
thanks so much! i appreciate you watching
@@devajonesdiy it was fun and extremely informative and helpful I think my fuel pump is mounted different do you have more vids like this
@@johnvogel2270 what kind of vehicle do you have?
thank u so much u helping me, i have an 88 bronco and im having the same problem i am going to do this soon thanks
you're more than welcome! thanks so much for watching
It was a great video! I have a 1988 460CI FI Winnebago and the instructions are the same. I appreciate your video! How did you reattach the plastic hose clamps?
i had some extras that werent broken but i think you can buy replacement ones if i'm not mistaken
Do you have a link to the video that shows how to remove the pump btwn the drive shaft and the bottom of the truck?
Thanks so much for the better video on how to actually do this. Question; If my 88 b2 cranks but wont start due to no fuel pressure, but I hear the high pressure pump buzzing when I turn key half way, could it still be bad even when its making noise?
There are 2 pumps on this vehicle sounds like the low pressure one in the tank is bad. are you getting fuel up to the high pressure one under the truck? if not the one in the tank needs to be replaced.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ thank you
You're welcome
@devajonesdiy I just bought a '89 Bronco XLT hope you keep posting videos about yours.!
I do aprreciate it 😙
you're very welcome!
1989 bronco 2 my pump is nowhere near that spot any thoughts?
i think yours might just have the in tank pump like most cars have now
Can you link the fuel pump you bought?
I didnt buy one, I have a parts truck i got that off of.
mine runs but when I hit throttle it spits and sputters and sometimes dies for an hour brfore it will go again. any ideas. "youtubes with lifts" lol
hmmmm not completely sure. could be the fuel filter but it could be a spark issue or fuel injectors
@@devajonesdiy after much research i replaced the icm and used thermal paste made by corsair. I also wrapped the exhaust manifold with an insulated wrap to decrease temps under the hood. the icm overheating seems to be a common problem for the 2.9.
@@pearlrival3124 i hope you filmed that LOL
Best and easiest way to do it is to make a hole through the top of the tank😂
This isn't the in tank pump..... these trucks have 2 pumps
