@@minecraftpro2074that was a typo and has since been changed, it’s 90 day for defects. Not a lifetime wear/tear/abuse warranty. Leatherman quality is still better and has a 25 year standard/40 year insider warranty that covers everything except loss.
Very informative, however with the inclusion of the gut hook and the pocket clip it seems closer to the leatherman charge than the wave. I carry a wave+ at work and a charge TTI off work. (My wave gets super oily at work). Just checked and my Charge also has the wire crimper below the plier hinge.
I have had the Gordon for 2 weeks now, my 2 leatherman kicks are over 20 years old now and are used all the time - one on my belt and one in my electrical tool box - both leatherman still work great with no broken parts and still shines, however the Gordon is already showing rust spots which is strange because here in north Texas we have had at most 1/2 inch of rain the last 2 months, I did use the Gordon to open a couple of bags of pool shock the other day but I have used the leatherman to open those bags many times over the years. Other than the rust spots the Gordon seems like a nice multitool but no way as good as leatherman.
Very informative video. Good clone, but there's nothing like the USA made original Leatherman. I'd like to see a 6 month follow up on the clone. New subscriber here, keep these great videos coming !
Nice video. I was lucky to get my hands on this tool a few weeks ago ordering it online from HF. This is my 1st ever multi-tool. I too just have a office job (WFH) but I ended up using this tool so many times and loved it so much. I ended up placing another online HF order as a gift for my step-dad as none of my local stores have any in stock. Unfortunately as of late June 2024, this tool is backordered. So I am waiting for it to ship. On a side note... the website says this multi-tool has a 90 day warranty, but my online Harbor Freight order history says this tool has a lifetime warranty. I made sure to take a screenshot just in case.
Thanks for watching. I should have done more research on the warranty. I might have to add an edit. I too see some people reporting this tool is warrantied for life. That’s crazy!
Harbor Freight has an unusual warranty policy. I think that if you have an account with them, you get lifetime warranties. I recently bought a socket wrench set (office guy, not trades/heavy user) there and when I bought it the guy looked up my phone number and told me because i was in the system it would have a lifetime warranty. HF has been around a long time and frankly their stuff is getting less junky all the time, so I think they will be around a long while to come.
I have a few months of everyday work use with the Gordon. None of the bits have ever fallen out. It has been dropped many times. I use all the tools regularly except the glass breaker and eyeglass screwdriver.. The only improvement that would make this tool better is replacing the eyeglass screw driver with an awl. I have no use for the tiny screwdriver. I do realize this is totally subjective.
on the leatherman i actually use the eyeglass screw driver to pick, poke and scrape stuff with it. It is one of those things I rarely use on the multitool but it’s such a lifesaver every time I needed it.
The one thing that is gonna make me not buy this one is you can see that small gap at the very bottom witch causes it to not be able to cut any type of wirer or zip to fully unless you move it up to the cutters
I got 2 gordons for less than one leatherman.... so I have a backup in case i need to send one off for the lifetime warranty.. total win.
I don't know but I've heard the Gordon only has a 90 day warranty

Thanks for subscribing! Definitely want to show some after use videos
I can say the walmart multi force has held up for me for a few Years. It's not quite this cheap, but still pretty cheap relative to the leatherman.
Definitely paying a little for the name recognition in a leatherman, as with all category leaders
USA made? Portland Oregon is not a part of my USA.
Sir I saw a video about a hidden lanyard ring?

Lifetime warranty that is until the company closes then opens up under a different name!
I wonder how you ordered an in store only item online.
@BOOGiNS they had online order available up until a few days ago. This is such a popular tool it's now on backorder.

Which one has the better steel? I doubt you can break a car window with plyers, try it. I know a hammer will not work.
It’s the same ish. Just china version of the 420

The Gordon also has a lanyard loop in the end. Saw that on another video. Need a dmall pry type tool to raise it. Thought it was cool.
I found the bottle and can opener combination doesn't work on bottles.
I have 4 leathermans and use the bottle opener quite often, just takes time to figure out how to position it.
Also both have a hidden lanyard loop.
Whoa! I did not know that! This is going on a short! Thanks!
Leatherman wave is just as fucking good
That’s not sayin much when it’s 4x the money bro 😂😂

I think the Gordon has a lifetime warranty like The Pittsburgh tools
Sub! Keep it up 👍
Is that Gordon china made?
Yes it is.

That’s a hardened wire cutting slot bruh..
