Two complaints- One- the pliers broke within a week due to poor casting. Two- Harbor Freight hides poor reviews. The rest of the tool was decent. HF does have a lifetime warranty on this tool. The file was not great, the saw harder to use than a Wave+ or Victorinox. Overall- save your money, buy a used Wave+. I personally will not do business with a company that hides reviews- that defeats the entire point of reviews. Good video.
I love mine. The only issue I've had is that the detent for the scissors doesn't hold. It moves and the spring lever for the scissors are part of that so the scissors just fold past the point of that and don't spring back. Sucks because everything else is great. Not to mention I want to exchange it for that reason but they're still so damn hard to find.
First time in this channel. With all due respect, is that your dad's or your grandpa's shop? I think many of the things there are older than you are, like the wear on that bench.
It’s a $40 tool so I will only make 2 complaints. 1 I don’t like 5cr knife steel. It doesn’t hold an edge which makes it hard to sharpen. 8cr would have been a good improvement. Also the detent for the plies isn’t very strong. It slips out pretty easily like the old original PST did.
Some pros and cons ive seen. Pro 1. Low price 2. PB washers on all tools 3. Cut hook serrated knife 4. Glass punch 5. 50% lockup 6. Chamfered opening knife holes, both sides. 7. Included pocket clip Cons 1. Too chamfered opening hole on blades 2. Somewhat odd metal saw on the file. 3. Standard ruler inaccurate, 10 8ths in an inch. 4. A gripe, HF make a bit kit already!
What gauge was that wire you cut? Why didn't you use the tool to back the screw out? It was already in your hand. Will you make a long-term review video? I would really like to know how well it holds up after 6 or 9 months of heavy use. No one wants to buy something that will break like a Xmas toy after 2 weeks.
It was 14 ga wire, I didn't use the tool to back the screw out because I was testing the pliers in that part of the video. I will make a long term review in the future. Thanks for watching!
Going to buy it, good informative test, thanks for sharing...
Thanks for watching
Great review! I’m thinking of getting one
Thanks for watching, it's a great choice!
i have both gordon and leatherman .. if i go rewind time i would get 3 gordons for car , camping/fishing , and a kit ...vs 1 leatherman
Great review video. I will get one tomorrow.
Thanks for watching
Good video thanks for sharing with us 👍
No problem, thanks for watching
Good review.
Thank you!
Gordon without his crowbar 😂
😮
My main issue is the blades are made of mystery "stainless steel". Never seen a blade that won't tell you what it's made of hold up that well...
It's made of 5Cr15MoV stainless steel
I do not have first-hand experience with that one.
It’s the Chinese version of 420. Is the same steel leatherman uses.

Thanks for watching and thanks for the input
@druidic4353 Better yet, the Surge.
How do you know HF hides reviews?
how would you contrast this to the ozark multi force?
I haven't used that one but I've heard more good things about this one.
@@EverydayTools hard to really find much on them minus quick videos, though I've seen broken pliers for Gordon out there
Yes, I have seen that as well, mine are still holding up.
Lifetime Warranty, bring it back if it breaks
I'm after one of those
They're great

Yeah, the quality is hit and miss unfortunately, hopefully you find a good one!
Is the gordon multitool lifetime warranty
According to the Harbor Freight website it is

My grandpa made that bench, but all of the tools are mine that I have accumulated over the years.

Yes, it is a budget tool, but for the price, it more than does the job. I've been using it everyday for about a month and I love it!

Definitely not perfect but still a good tool
Drywalls screws are stupidly hard and brittle. I was waiting to see the the file's teeth roll over on it.
They did pretty well

Seeing the saw in action was enough for me. I will pay the extra and get a Wave.
The saw did not perform the best at first but I eventually got it to work more efficiently.
? The saw worked about as well as the one on the Wave.
