I'm just your average DIY guy fixing things around the house, the land, and on the cars. Since I enjoy learning on UA-cam, and I enjoy sharing what I learn, I decided to start a channel. I'm not an expert on any of the topics I cover, but I'm not afraid to jump in and try stuff.
This channel is focused on home, land, and auto repairs, maintenance, and related product reviews.

Survival Cord. Better than 550 paracord? Product Review
Amazing, you dont know all most all of the chargers/cube/(the thing that plugs into 115 ac to charge) IS/ARE USB-A.
Big thanks!
You're welcome!
I just saw this for $88 in Walmart. Had to check some reviews just to be sure. I’m definitely getting one.
👍 “Their hands-on demonstration was really helpful. Seeing the travel kit in use really helps viewers understand how it functions in real-life scenarios.”
The one thing that is gonna make me not buy this one is you can see that small gap at the very bottom witch causes it to not be able to cut any type of wirer or zip to fully unless you move it up to the cutters
I have had the Gordon for 2 weeks now, my 2 leatherman kicks are over 20 years old now and are used all the time - one on my belt and one in my electrical tool box - both leatherman still work great with no broken parts and still shines, however the Gordon is already showing rust spots which is strange because here in north Texas we have had at most 1/2 inch of rain the last 2 months, I did use the Gordon to open a couple of bags of pool shock the other day but I have used the leatherman to open those bags many times over the years. Other than the rust spots the Gordon seems like a nice multitool but no way as good as leatherman.
Sir I saw a video about a hidden lanyard ring?

Very informative for all who do not have professional experience. Thank you
Leatherman wave is just as fucking good
It worked! Followed step by step! Thank you! 👩🏼💻🩷

The strap is for below your knee
some cables are power delivery only. they do not have the data cables in them to allow them for data transfer.
never encountered those cable.even those which came from cheap bluetooth speakers and controllers transfers data. i mean its not gonna be gigabyte speed maybe around 150mbps or less transfer speeds but still they do transfer data
My regulator took a crap on me, aftermarket one i installed. only a couple years old..... It was fine when i had the gas open but when i turned off both tanks the regulator failed to regulate after i switched them back on. The one that crapped on me is the new one you ordered.... ****Edit*****, turns out i just tripped the leak protection because i drained the system to work on my furnace and when i turned it back on i opened the valve too fast and the leak protection was triggered, stopping flow. The regulator still works.
Oh no! Thanks for the heads up!
@@raiderdawgranch Turns out the regulator is fine, i just accidentally triggered the safety mechanism because the line was drained and i opened the valve too fast. unhooking the tanks and reconnecting them resolved the problem.
This helped me so much Thank You
Just moved into my first apartment this looks perfect for it
Mine broke trying to remove it. I'm fked.
does it engine light came on?
so pro
Thanks very much for a thorough walk through, it’s been really helpful. I was going to move from gas to pellet but found out that pellets aren’t great at searing steaks etc. this seems to be the solution for me!
One reason my pointer and thumb nails are longer.
😂 I love it. Not the only reason… one reason
Reminder: The sensor is there to sense flow. If you get a code for flow sensing circuit, the first thing you should check is the refrigerant level.
Grab him the can of hair will ya! At 3:21
Which one has the better steel? I doubt you can break a car window with plyers, try it. I know a hammer will not work.
Actually I bought the 17 inch griddle and it came with the glass covered hood. I'm thinking of getting the 22 inch though. Great video. I'm now a subscriber thx
Thanks for the sub! How did that glass cover work out?
@@raiderdawgranch I have used the griddle several times and the cover fits like a glove. Beautiful. I love it
@@raiderdawgranch cover works great. It was connected to the grill
Great review, the tops are folded carbon steel like an old school French skillet, great for cooking on.
I appreciate you video. However I noticed u take off the positive lug on the battery. I was told by an old mechanic and have thought about it. So it goes like this. Negative is first to come off and last to go on.
I’d like to better understand how that logic works. DC voltage flows in one direction and doesn’t do anything until the circuit is completed, so why does it matter?
@@raiderdawgranchthat’s a good question. I am not really sure. However as long as that ground is hooked up that positive post is hot. Therefore the risk of creating a short might be greater.. I can’t say anything right off hand but the guy who told me was a simple life long mechanic so I just accept what he said and practice it. With the positive left on it is usually insulated. But with the negative left on , the positive post is more open for an accidental short. Just my thoughts.
Meanwhile I hope the sensor is what is wrong with my 2013 corrola. Also I recently got rid of my 2012 Tacoma and moved up to a 2019. The 2012 also had a sensor on the ac pump. I was told on UA-cam it was a speed sensor. Now I am wondering if it was a speed sensor or flow sensor. The video I watched about a year ago said it measured the pump speed.
Here is a reasonable answer. ua-cam.com/users/shortsB7JpNCNmufw?si=IZNChRdxWOzlzL9L
@@raiderdawgranch perfect. Guess the old guy was right. It makes sense .
take a magnetic to it! a magnet adheres weakly only to the cup and not at all to the other 3 pieces. False advertising - as usual.
why
Good video. I will say a temperature/pressure chart that accounts for humidity is definitely necessary having rebuilt countless R-134a systems. Also a manifold gauge set is many times more accurate than that shitty offshore gauge that’s on a can. Just go to HF and get a $65 manifold gauge kit. Modern AC systems are very picky about pressure. If you overfill it won’t cool adequately, and you will eventually fry your compressor. Other than that great info for people who are unaware of this sensor.
Thanks for the extra detail!
What’s the lowest smoking temp you can achieve? What “P” setting?
180° is the lowest setting. Makes a lot of smoke at those low temps. P is to prime the fire box. It feeds pellets faster so it can get to desired temp quicker.
@@raiderdawgranch thanks! But how do I set it to achieve 180? Obviously on the “smoke” setting, but there are many “P” options. 1-7 I believe.
my bad! I thought you were talking about the prime button. I have not used the p-setting, but here is a website that talks about it. Looks like different speeds for the auger feed. www.smokedbbqsource.com/pit-boss-p-setting/
@@raiderdawgranch amazing thank you for you help. That article nailed it. I live in Alberta so the P feature is perfect for me. Nearly 80 degree Celsius swings.
Thanks for posting
You bet
I have a few months of everyday work use with the Gordon. None of the bits have ever fallen out. It has been dropped many times. I use all the tools regularly except the glass breaker and eyeglass screwdriver.. The only improvement that would make this tool better is replacing the eyeglass screw driver with an awl. I have no use for the tiny screwdriver. I do realize this is totally subjective.
on the leatherman i actually use the eyeglass screw driver to pick, poke and scrape stuff with it. It is one of those things I rarely use on the multitool but it’s such a lifesaver every time I needed it.
Sub! Keep it up 👍
I got 2 gordons for less than one leatherman.... so I have a backup in case i need to send one off for the lifetime warranty.. total win.
I don't know but I've heard the Gordon only has a 90 day warranty
Was this done on the passenger side? Did you have to drain the transmission fluid?
We did replace both sides and did not drain the transmission. Lost a little fluid from the joint, but not much.
It’s my understanding if this sensor is bad, your ac won’t cool at all. I plan on replacing it myself for intermittent cooling on my rav4. Also the compressors with this sensor generally aren’t electromagnetic clutch. The end on the compressor can be seen spinning while no refrigerant is being pumped. This also is my case. It had me confused when I saw the compressor spinning and nothing changed on my manifold gauges. 😂
I think the Gordon has a lifetime warranty like The Pittsburgh tools
thanks.
leatherman charge has it too
derrr
Every leatherman owner would Know this, stipulated on the manual, not a hidden feature.
Leatherman 101
Very informative, however with the inclusion of the gut hook and the pocket clip it seems closer to the leatherman charge than the wave. I carry a wave+ at work and a charge TTI off work. (My wave gets super oily at work). Just checked and my Charge also has the wire crimper below the plier hinge.
Is that Gordon china made?
Yes it is.
Yes it is
Also both have a hidden lanyard loop.
Whoa! I did not know that! This is going on a short! Thanks!
conabear 101 will solve biggest problems
😂
Or just slightly loosen the screws.
Do you know if they use thread locker on those screws? I figured loosening them would cause a bigger problem over time by not keeping everything in place.
@@raiderdawgranch I don't think they do? Although I don't have a Gordon, can't get them here, I loosen and tighten my leatherman and knives to however I prefer them. Just loosen it a little bit to how you like it, then if the screw keeps getting looser, use some blue loctite on it. I wouldn't use red. Hope this helps! 👍🇦🇺
I need to find a tougher T8 driver - only one I have that small is an electronics set, & the grip slips before I have enough torque - feels like the tip is close to snapping, so the grip slip is more of a feature-not-a-bug.
This guy took one apart - no sign of thread-locker! ua-cam.com/video/l1G7alqxbVs/v-deo.html
I found the bottle and can opener combination doesn't work on bottles.
I have 4 leathermans and use the bottle opener quite often, just takes time to figure out how to position it.
I can remember my dad using me when I was a kid because I could get where he could not😉
they have tops for the 17" griddles.
