THANK YOU. Im an above knee amputee so theres no "ninja walking" in my toolkit. I just got my OM3 and Im looking for ways to get great shots without hobbling around on my peg leg. You the man.
Hi there, I am disabled as well and walk with a limp and have breathing problems. So I know where you're coming from. I've just bought a gimble and need an adapter as a have an old GoPro, but every month I add to my equipment and am following the tutorials and will soon put them into practice. Good luck
Steve, I’m watching this video for the third time since you posted it. Such great tips that are so well explained and demonstrated! I love the way you put your videos together. Really useful content. Clear and concise. A pleasure to watch and a valuable resource of information. Thanks for doing what you do!
Hi Steve! I've started teaching myself how to shoot and edit about only 3 months ago and I can't tell you how much your tutorials have helped me! They're fun to watch, concise and very simple to recreate. Thank you!! Keep 'em coming please.
hey bud thanx for sharing videos like these you are doing a great job i have been watcing your videos for past 8-9 months you are just incredible with teaching skill lots good wishes for you and your family
WOW!!! Steve you are making this all look so easy!!! I am aspiring at the moment and trying to learn before kicking off. I certainly chose the right person to get me fully inspired. Your explanations are so clear and I like how you lay out your objectives for each shot. I have to admit that I really had not thought in the way you do but I can see just what a difference these different techniques make to the visual presentation later. Some really professional videos. Thank you for sharing your expertise with ALL. I shall certainly be watching many more of your videos Steve. Grand work!!!
First time I came across your stuff, the day after my first gimbal arrived. This is good stuff, will check out your other gimbal clips. I wrote down the shots you covered here so I can keep a shot list with me for ideas. Here's the list: 1) The Push Through - move through a doorway 2) The Slider/Reveal - find a focal point and use something in the foreground to reveal it 3) Lookup Slider - look up and slide along a wall or look up and move through a doorway 4) Fake Crane - using tripod extension, start low and move up, use a "reveal" position if possible 5) The Low Rider - get low to the ground and move forward 6) The Stretch Out and Lean Back - start low and forward then move up and reach back 7) The Cinematic Orbit - use slow motion, lock onto object and move around it, or move toward a close object until it comes clearly into focus 8) The Look Up, Crane Shot - set the camera close to a wall and move up slowly, textured walls make the shot more interesting. Thank you very much for your content!!!
I have watched your moves on this video many times. Steve, I have subscribed today with good reason. You provide amazing "learning" videos and you do it for FREE at a professional level. You have my thanks for teaching and allowing me to understand the simplicity of using a gimbal with the RIGHT moves. Cheers Bro!
I have to say your advice is absolutely brilliant it's helped me not spending too much money on expensive equipment I go to the cheaper route still get my first ever videos all thanks to your fantastic advice it helps a million so thanks again mate
Hello sir I'm impressed with your teachings and started vloging now, I know how to shoot and edit... You're videos are really helpful and motivated for us .. Proud
You have a great presenting style and am learning so much with your videos. Someone can be so knowledgeable but presenting needs to be on point to keep someone engaged. I automatically save your videos if it is something I am interested in. Thank you.
Great video - thanks for the input. I had a failed knee joint replacement which left me with a slight but, definite limp. I have avoided gimbals because of this but, after your video, I just purchased a gimbal to use with my Sony A6600.
Excellent! Learning to capture creative, well-composed shots is what it’s all about. If you start with quality footage, editing is simpler, and there is no need to “fix” footage with gimmicky effects that overshadow your subject/ content. Keep these great videos coming!
It looks good! Nice work... and what a church! To see the underside of the archway was amazing... the skill and work that someone did so long ago.... and their kids and family would have been proud of them... and when they were dead for generations people would have thought "my great great granddaddy helped build this church!" And that's the beauty of film and video.... we can see the works of the world.

Thanx for this I have been doing some stuff wrong and never had the guts to play with phone camara settings. Alwys changing stuff in editing.
Great work! What gimbal settings are you using Eg; full follow, pan, pan and tilt? Also, when should you use focus and exposure lock?
I used ‘Pan follow’ for all of these shots and locked focus/exposure each time 👍
