Steve, I revisit this video over and over no matter how much experience I have. Really sound advice and tips sometimes easy to forget. Thanks for the consistently high level of quality you produce.

Thank you. I enjoyed the whole video (and many of your other ones)... You're a great teacher, but I must be a terrible student. I can't even seem to be able to hold it right. I would like to keep the smartphone steady while i move forward or just use my torso from left to right, but the damn thing moves anyway (using a DJI OM 5)... It doesn't keep my desired framing, it turns slightly horizontally...
I like this! Straight to the point! No extra fluff or timewasting to keep us watching for better stats! Pure and simple! you sir, have just gained a subscriber because of this excellently produced video! Cheers!
Sir you are really too good. I can't believe that you are giving such high quality education for free. So thank you so much sir. Keep doing it and 1million is not to far.
One thing I would add...Play back each clip before moving on to the next shot. You don't want to discover later in the edit that some of your clips don't look as good as you originally thought. Also, you might consider using a Monitor Hood Sun Shade for your phone during playback so you can better see your finished shot.
dude! where have you been?? I'm no movie maker or anything, but even just the tips for using the phone camera were greatly appreciated, I use a cheap disposable Moto G-power and you've shown me that locking exposure and focus is a thing, wide angle lens is built in and very cool, and moving the camera instead of my hands is the way to do it. simple stuff that I've never known. I don't even know how youtube brought you into my attention window but I'm thankful it did
These are great tips for shooting in general, with or without a gimbal. Love your example of carrying hot coffee to illustrate the benefit of doing the ninja walk.
Steve you are definitely a pro at this I’ve watched a few of your tutorials and I have to say all of them are captivating great job my favorite out of all on this particular one is definitely Balancing with the coffee cup that makes so much sense great job I look forward to more from you.
I find your tutorials and tips great, and it was your review of the Hohem isteady X that convinced me to buy it. This is my first gimbal, and Im struggling with knowing what modes I should be using. I’d love to see a run throw of each mode and how best to use them.
🥰❤❤Coolest techniques taught at a pace one can easily follow and retain in memory 😄, unlike those where they r talking so fast you lose interest and stressed.
Hi, I came across your video as I was admiring the design of my DJI osmo3 and I am not much of a filmmaker, but I didn't realize that just filming an old building using a gimbal could be just as exciting as watching a movie done by pros. I have always had ideas of dynamic filmmaking such as in F1, the cars driving away into the sunset but now that i have a DJI Osmo 3 I can't wait to maybe one day when covid 19 is over and I get to go the motorsport races again, I will be able to do those shots that I have always envisioned. All thanks to you and your videos. I hope that all made sense. Bye4now....SqueezyHugs.
Loved this - Thank you for taking the time to make this very informative video. I also liked the links to the equipment used and also links to similar videos you have created. Nice one. Peter.
@@DJB323 lol, it doesn't matter to youtube, he gets paid the same either way because it's an interaction, thumbs up, thumbs down all the same as far as UA-cam is concerned, which is awesome in this guys case, because he doesn't make any bad videos..

I've gotten a decent following on tiktok, but I really wanted to grow my UA-cam and I honestly think this is going to help.. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos for us new guys.. I'm actually not that new but naive when it comes to these things I guess..

Thankyou. Great tips. I don't use my smart phone for video [yet!] but I do have two Sony Handycams and a gimbal adapted to carry the same. The techniques are, of course, the same whatever camera you are using.
