Idk about those last 2 seasons ...kinda jumped the shark. Still the concepts deserve more exploration. Also for all its flaws and similar slide in the later seasons, Earth Final Conflict had some truly prophetic imagining, and a fantastic antagonistic in Agent Sandoval.
You know the recommendation I'm about to make. A fleet. Sovereigns, Achillies, Intrepids, Defiants, Galaxies, led by an Excalibur. About 15 ships total. All against that Ascendant. The battle will be so glorious that it would make a Klingon weep.

I think a new trek show that ventures to a new galaxy would be perfect for a ship like the excalibur. Big enough to hold a defiant on board and several smaller ships not including shuttlecraft and give it an ablative generator, extensive borg tech, slipstream tech and maybe Seven as captain
I'm sorry, have you seen the schematics for glorious heritage class cruiser? It will be launching hundreds of plasma or nuclear missiles. Plus it has drones. The last thing it would do would be to get into phaser range when it could take out a warship further away

It can be a nuisance. The single biggest mod issue people tend to have is, not running bridge commander as an administrator. Kobayashimaru and BC-remastered won't run properly if you don't.
The Andromeda would prob defeat any starfleet vessel as remember Andromeda is a sentient ship. She is technically alive and would be able to attack with the massive wave of weapons she has. Not to mention the defence drones she has, thats one ship that was built for war
Andromeda is the ultimate warship. Always thought the ideas in Andromeda were more realistic than Star Trek. Instead of shields they use armour. Although you could say future starfleet also used armor. (Janeways Future Tech).

I was wondering why does this game lack HD textures and meshes from modders? Freespace 2 is an older game but thanks to the fan remaster projects its graphics are now 2015 equivalent instead of 1999.
@@RetroBadgerGaming I would expect the Vorlons and Minbari would be very powerful against Federation vessels....? I'm not to sure if the earth vessels would be stronger than Federation vessels, with the exception of the Ranger vessels....those would be strong opponents as well lol

These videos show it all wrong. First season shows Andromeda fighting naval style at long range. Her AP cannons would out range the type X phaser arrays by 100,000 klicks. AP cannons have 4 lightseconds range. Andromeda's missiles ranged 8-10 lightseconds and strategic missiles double that minimum. This not counting fighters and drones or even pd lasers batteries. Starfleet would not have chance. She got no shields you say well she's got them in AG feilds.

A message is sent in all radio wave lengths signalling a cease fire to end the conflict before lives are lost beyond broken hull plating . Picard invites the crew aboard enterprise to talk the episode ends with the federation trading cultural knowledge and some technology specifications for 23rd century shields and transporters and warp drive .in return hunt gives them specs Andromedas basic ftl design along with advanced computer design s .they part ways . enterprise Gos back through the anomaly and collapses it for good in case less friendly forces come through . Both universe s gain new technology that day .

I didn't think that the Andromeda was all that powerful. She mostly used missile weapons and didn't have much in the way of energy weapons.
