Those Slicer beams are designed to cut through any material. They make short work of any race that isn't the First ones or Vorlons, the nice thing is they included auto-repair systems for the shadow vessels, which is a good way of showing how tough they are.
Since you probably know, can t shadows go into a half space where they are there but also not so enemy fire goes right trough?
@@DieSuper-Influencer The half-phasing is like the federation's attempt at cloaking, but this game seems to use the Romulan/Klingon Cloaking method. The half-cloak makes it harder to be hit as well, but it also makes the main gun harder to hit other ships.

Closest Trek comparison to the Shadows is Species 8472 So it makes sense that they make short work of the Borg.

if it was proper lore then the borg would have adapted after 4-5 shot against it
BUT
if you was wanting to do a proper challenge, id suggest putting the shadow vessels against the progenitor
thats what i was thinking. i thought the way borg adapt to weapons was what made them so scary
I thought those shadow ships used a type of kinetic cutting beam to just slice ships apart, dont know if the borg can adapt against that, they could not adapt to the Tommy gun Picard used or against getting punced in the face by Worf. The borg have a smaller version of that beam too, when they cut out a piece from the Enterprise & pull it out with a tractor beam.
@@DerDrecksack87 the problem with mentioning the tommy gun is u only see it used against a couple of borg just the same way youvsee phasers being used against them n over time they afapted, as for physical attacks they would have found a way to adapt there bodies to absorb the impact with little to no danage over time
@@draconiangaming4856 dont know about that, species 8472 has deleted thousands if not more borg in hand to hand combat, they didnt seem to be able to adapt to physical damage that well, sure they could somehow adapt by having more armor against ballistic weapons but i doubt the collective would spend that enormous amount of extra resources and even if, there is plenty of more modern & effective stuff than the ancient .45 ACP from that Tommy, even WW2 tungsten core ammo will go trough modern AR500 & ceramic plates, so those drones would have to be armored to the point that they cant really fulfill their shipboard duties. The lore is very inconsistent regarding the borg, Voyager did no favors but even in first contact or best of both worlds they seem to be the most effective in space as long as they have shields, but i never got the feeling that they are much of a menace except to pyjama wearing space hippies. All their adaptive tec is based on countering advanced beam weapons with their adaptive shielding but funny enough a few marine squads with plenty of ammo could beam aboard during combat and could reach that central vinkulum and cut the collective control within minutes, would be more effective than hammering the cube that regenerates anyway. It would have been awesome to see MAKO squads with railguns or teleporter rifles from DS9 do it, but Star Trek in TNG & movies just mostly neglects boarding & infantry combat in general in favor of double fisted karate chops and vulcan neck pinching and even if they have boardings like in Nemesis, it comes over as hilariously amateur & stiff, all that hip firing, the opponents seldomly taking cover and if they do than nobody is using grenades but opting instead at shoot each others cover like a Leslie Nielsen parody...
@@DerDrecksack87 true they did struggle against species 8472 but i think that was due to them being from another universe, i do agree that voyager made them seem alot weaker than they are compared to how they was show in tng

Results look accurate, to me. In reality, though, the Borg would find a way to defeat the Shadow, even if it meant sacrificing a cube or two 🖖
The Shadows are a billion years old. I know that doesn't seem to matter to a lot of folks but imagine the tech advances. Take a stone age man, throwing a rock, maybe a spear at a Tank that can fire at him from miles away.
Another great battle 💥 but we're excluding the fact that the Borg 🤖 learn and adapt 🔍 so the battle with the Shadows 🌑 wouldn't be that easy.

Rats... Babylon 5 is one of the few sci-fi genres I know little about. Even though Claudia Christian is 10 years older than me... yum. 😊 I digress... back to the fight.
That was hilarious when one of your craft collided with you. The AI must have a Spaceballs at the helm. 😄
Other than that, those crab ships have amazing firepower.
They're not as powerful as the Undine (8472), but close.
I still can't believe they weren't our allies in ST:Online... Janeway made peace with them (or so I thought).
You virtually carved a Tactical cube like a roast. lol It is funny how many times you collided. Yeah the tactical cubes aren't your average Borg cube.
They actually look like Rubik cubes lol.
May I make an odd request? How would the Borg do against a ship from an older sci-fi franchises.? How about a Borg cube vs the Gia King Dragon? Can it be simulated?
If those slicer beams are meant to slice through any material, I'd like to see how it does against the solid neutronium of The Doomsday Machine.

Yes I too love the Tactical Cube.. since Voyager, and looked amazing.. and surprised the Shadows are immune to Borg weapons. crikey.. 😄lol '' Sorry Brex''... I think the Shadow ships have too many spiky thingies to fly close. lol. still well done Admiral.. lol. and first of a lot of things in this battle.. The Shadow ships are as scary as 8472! It would have been so cool to see a crossover into trek from them. HAHA. You're right, the spikey parts are a bit of a downfall with the shadows. Maybe they are ace pilots? I've told Brex to take a weeks shore leave. He deserves it :-P Thanks Steve 🖖

BSG vs Star Destroyer? Wish there was a ross class mod, love to see it vs sovereign or galaxy x
While I think a Shadow’s beam could be pretty effective on a cube at first, the cube’s weapons would also shred a shadow ship even faster. A group of shadow ships could probably defeat a cube but they’d still probably lose ships in said battle.

Shadows don't cloak they shift in and out of hyperspace..just thought I'd show I was paying attention.
They don't have a cloak btw, they phase in and out of hyperspace instead of opening a Jump point. I love the Shadows but I prefer the Vorlons.
The shadows are ancient, but the Borg adapt after a few shots, the Borg would eventually win.
Exactly. I love how in these match up scenarios, the Shadows are always accorded the full weight of their lore. But their opponents just get nerfed.

From being a fan of both franchises. Somethings I think might have happened. The borg. They can assimilate. In the end they may have been able to defend themselves against Shadow fire. Nanites. If a cube were to successfully fire a torpedo full of Nanites at a Shadow vessel since its an organic ship, rewrite its dna. On the Shadow side. They also have organic tech so they may be able some how to fire a torpedo that would destabilise the borg. Thanks for the video. Spock would probably call it "fascinating."

Shadow vessels are beasts. The only other ships in B5 who could handle them were White Stars, Zorlons and the Mimbari. Great battle. I'd love to see the White Stars versus the Borg
To be fair, the Shadows would not even engage in a battle with the borg...
Why fight them if you simply can hack the borg nanobots - since nanobots are one of the real strenghts of Shadows

Since the Shadows are millions of years older than the borg as a space fairing race the results didnt really surprise me. Probably the close race in Star Trek to the Shadows are the Undine with thier bioships, with the Shadows having millions of years to perfect this technology.
They may be millions of years old, but they are stagnant when it comes to their technology.
Nor does it make sense for ST vessels to struggle against them when B5 Younger Races warships are able to defeat them.
@@taw1967 The B5 younger races only managed to defeat the shadowa once they found their weakness. Before they found their weakness Sheridan used very unconvential tatics to destroy them.
