Imagine if the office here was white, the black community wouldn't have the patient to listen to him no matter how reasonable or compassionate he tries to be; on the flip side of the coin, people that are with the white supremacy won't listen to anything that someone of the black community has to say.

Tens of thousands of people all with different personalities, different attitudes, most of whom have never resisted arrest in their lives. And yet they all have stories about being treated in disturbing ways by law enforcement or other authorities. This IS how 99% of all police officers are you brainwashed tool.
Police are trained to be 1 step ahead of the people theyre dealing with meaning:
      1. Suspect want to fight; you use a baton or tazer. (if those dont work you shoot)
      2. Suspect has a knife; ideally one officer with gun and a second with a tazer. (if tazer doesnt work you shoot)
      3. Suspect has a gun; You call out to the suspect to drop the gun(If the suspect does anything else but drop gun you shoot)
      4. Suspect is an active shooter you shoot.
Also race has nothing to do with who gets shot and who does the shooting. MSU study msutoday.msu.edu/news/2019/the-truth-behind-racial-disparities-in-fatal-police-shootings/
ALSO police are using military style gear because criminals have started using deadlier and deadlier weapons.
Would you want Police officers without bulletproof vests and helmets, only equipped with tazers and 9mm's going up against f.ex. the Las Vegas shooter who was shooting at a huge crowd of civillians from the 32nd floor armed to the teeth with high powered assault rifles?

"Defund" doesn't mean completely. It means relocating law enforcement budgets to social programs while simultaneously removing things related to those programs from law enforcement duties, for example treating drug addicts and the mentally ill. Some more radical individuals believe that eventually this could eliminate the need for police for all but the most extreme circumstances. I don't know if that's realistic but seeing as the whole proposal is meant to be done in a gradual and methodical way I'm not concerned it will go too far.
