    Hi thanks for your excellent demonstration. Do you find you can downshift as well? I have had mine for about 4 months and haven't yet been able to downshift... Do tou blip the throttle..is your bike ride by wire? Mine is cable.. perhaps im just not being daring enough or perhaps i have to be accelerating when downshifting

    Nice. I recently installed a Translogic QS on my GSXS1000. Using reverse shift with chinese rearsets. Love it!

    • @davetechme
      @davetechme 4 роки тому +2

      @@ToModorNottoMod I have "Kemimoto" rearsets which I got off aliexpress for $100. It's basically a MGP/Hotbodies knockoff.
      A kickstand bolt interferes with the thicker shift rod if you just flip the gearshift linkage. So to reverse shift, I ended up ordering a Sato Racing GP shift pedal (shift rod mounts above the pedal, not below) and shorter bolt for $70 direct from Sato Racing. I didn't think about it at the time, but you could probably just use washers and different bolts instead.

    I noticed yours sounds really smooth , do you know if the aggressive pops from quickshifter gearshift is obtained by a tune or just another quickshifter ? There is other videos out there where in between every upshift there is an aggressive pop kind of like a s1000rr or mt-10.

    • @ToModorNottoMod
      @ToModorNottoMod  4 роки тому +2

      Hey Koradox, thank you for the comment. You are right, I am pretty sure the pops are related to the tune and what happen during the "kill time".
      Mine actually pops and bangs sometimes when I am riding in the street at certain RPMs which leads me to beleive that the tune at certain asmothferic conditions and RPM allow for maybe unburned fuel to be burn upon the spark/ignition return after being killed to allow the shift to go in.
      Does that makes sense? Imma look into it.

    • @ToModorNottoMod
      @ToModorNottoMod  2 роки тому

      Hey Rocky, Healtech doesn't necessarily promote it as a blipper but since you have multiple ways/locations to install the sensor in the literatures says that it is possible to position the sensor in a way where you coukd potentially get the benefit of upshifting and downshifting. If you happen to get it to work as an auto blipper thare is no setting for you to mess with. 🙂

    Hello, I have a question.
    so I'm thinking about buying a healtech shifter, but I've seen some people say u can't blip then throttle on downshifting, it would not work the same or something.
    I don't really get what they mean about it or if they just ment that u can't quick-downshift. it wasn't very clear.
    so I'm wondering if I can still blip for downshifting manually when it's setup for quick-upshifting.
    Thanks!

    • @ToModorNottoMod
      @ToModorNottoMod  4 роки тому

      Hey who dis, good question. There are 2 ways to answer this question.
      1. The Healtech Quickshifter is mainly a upshifting device, meaning it's designed for clutchless upshift and no clutchless down shifting (auto blip). But Healtech mentions on the instructions that you have multiple ways to install the sensor and in some cases and in some bikes you can use it to do clutchless downshifts as well.
      2. Even when you install the quickshifter for upshifting this will not intervene with your ability of rev matching to downshift when you have the unit installed. I did it all the time.
      Last thing, I wouldn't buy this unit expecting to be a blipper but it will not prevent you from normal down shift operation.
      Makes sense?

    I'm thinking of installing either the Healtech Easy (which I believe is the version you have) or Dynojet quickshifter (since I already have a Power Commander V) on my GSX-R1000 K9, but I would like to ask if the Healtech cuts only spark and not fuel when shifting. I'm thinking that if only the spark is momentarily cut off, overspraying of fuel would eventually lead to premature carbon buildup because the injectors will keep spraying--thus oversaturating the combustion chamber with gas--because both fuel and spark are not cancelled upon shifting.
    BTW, I see you're located on the east side of the valley. I'm on the west side.

    • @ToModorNottoMod
      @ToModorNottoMod  3 роки тому

      Hey Spinj, right on I live in Queen Creek.
      So the Healtech only cuts spark. It's a good point you bring. I have never been concerned about that but not to say is not a valid point. The kill time is so small that I was never concerned about any downfalls with it.
      The one thing I will mention is that with the power commander I was not able to cut both fuel and spark until I installed the Ignition module, with the power commander only you will only be able to cut spark similar to the Healtech.
      Let me know if you have questions.

      @ToModorNottoMod  3 роки тому

      @@DJSpinj My pleasure. Uffff tough decision.
      Let me put it this way. The Healtech has a lot of options to fine tune it to get it buttery smooth at low RPMs. The Dynojet you only play with the kill times in ms and that's it but it just works. I might need to spend more time with my dynojet but at first glance the Healtech was smoother on low rpms situation, but I have more confidence shifting WOT with my Dynojet.
      I am not a drag racer but i wanted the confidence of shifting WOT and it could have been configuration but my Healtech got stuck a few times when I was at the dragstrip, but the other 90% of the time it worked great.
      Sorry for not giving you a amstraight answer

    • @DJSpinj
      @DJSpinj 3 роки тому

      @@ToModorNottoMod Thank you very much for the input. I think the reason why upshifting with the Dynojet is smoother is because you fitted the ignition module, which I believe also halts spark in addition to your PCV cutting off fuel spray, both of which I think makes for a better clutchless shift feel. Nice GSXS you've got by the way.

    • @ToModorNottoMod
      @ToModorNottoMod  Рік тому

      Hey MasterDi96 - It’s primarily upshifting, but as specified in the product description depending on the sensor location the sensor could also feel the pressure and unload the transmission enabling you to downshift without your clutch.
      Although Heal-tech mentioned this in their literature is not sold as an autoblipper. You are better off rev matching downshifts.

      @ToModorNottoMod  4 роки тому

      Hey AyRo I am glad you liked the video. As per Healtech (see link below) installing the sensor in different positions on the shift lever or rod coukd make it so the sensor can feel the pressure when you are upshifting and downshifting. Is not an actual auto blip but the fact that it can read in both directions means that you can potentially have clutchless downshifts as well since the sensor will cut the spark allowing the next shif in this case a lower shift to be engaged. Does that makes sense?

      I've had both R-b-w and cable bikes. I've developed a feel for downshifting that I've not seen demonstrated in videos yet, at least that I've seen. While cruising at speed, simply hold a light throttle without blipping, begin pressuring the shifter, and quickly snap the clutch while maintaining that steady throttle. The engine will rev a bit the instant the clutch is snatched and you'll be down a gear with revs matched. I can downshift 3-4 times this way almost as quickly as a R-b-w QS downshift. Just keep in mind the clutch has to be snatched, not pulled and slowly released. It's literally as easy as "bingggggggbingggggggggbinggggggggbingggggggggg" and you're down 4 gears ready to fly.

      Hi Dani. It's a pressure sensor, so it detects the pressure you apply to the shifter and that sends the signal to cut spark. It's a good question. The interface also have settings to control the sensitivity and noise filtering. So if the system gets affected by excessive vibration or the simple fact that some riders place their foot on the shifter even when they are not shifting, you can filter those things out to avoid cutting the spark for anything other than the expected pressure on the sensor when you intend to shift. How the low rpm quick shifts?

      You determine the range when the sensor will receive the pressure signal. Normally I set it up for the RPM to start at 2500 RPM but I am positive that you can set it earlier than 2500. Hope that helps.

    So a question for someone on here that has first hand knowledge of these things , can i put a quick shifter on the new gsx s750 ?? Or only the 1000 .

      Yes sir you can! I know that at least stand alone versions from Translogic and Healtech has them available.

      @@ToModorNottoMod thank you so much , ive never had a bike i can afford the s750 and i like the way it looks . I didn’t want to ask the dealer because they pressure you and i want to know exactly what i want before i buy it.

    why you mount sensor on arm and not on rod? any difference in operation?

    • @ToModorNottoMod

      Hey Folerx, It is one of the recommendations and it worked well for me. I once tried the rod and other positions with no negative impact.
      It all comes down to best way/position where the sensor gets the signal you are inputting with your feet.
