Impossible to say really. The shifts on the whole are very smooth and so I don't think it could have too much effect. Don't forget as well though, that any extra wear on the gearbox is saved by the reduced wear on the clutch and associated attachments!
@@AndyManCam That is great, do you have instructions from healtech? I buyied QS last week and I am thinking to return it if disabling of the downshifts cannot be solved normaly. I wrote today to healtech support I will see.
Hi Henrik, I am thinking about buying one for my FZ6. I know Andy didn't like it that much because of the wind noise, I want to get it on my bike mainly to protect all the gadgets mounted on the bars. Do you find it loud and annoying as well?
One thing I wondering if u set a quick ie 7000rpm dose the quick shift still work if revs go past or lower rpm .as it's hard to check rpm when rideing ?
The RPM setting is a cutoff. So it will not work below those RPM but will work above. I have mine set at 3000rpm, so it will not work from 0-2999rpm, but anywhere from 3000 - redline, the shifter will operate as normal. I've never really had to check the revs as you just get a feel for where the shifter cuts in.
si la moto es de 1 cilindro (ejemplo ktm rc 200 o 390), ¿qué se hace con el segundo conector de inyector, se pone el plug que viene para taparlo, se deja libre, qué se hace?
@@AndyManCam I'm trying to find a solution for a quick shifter, but would like to have bi-directional, otherwise, to me, doesn't justify the investment. Btw, bought a fz1 2009, what a beast :D
That’s very complicated as you’d need one with a blipper. Sadly a blipper is pretty much impossible without a fly by wire throttle. TBH I’ve never missed downshifting and i even didn’t use it when I’ve ridden bikes with that feature. I prefer to blip the throttle myself!
Help, my sense value is always too low I uninstalled the sensor, and squeeze it out really hard, I only get 19% of sense value, I didn't install it too tight. I didn't run the set up at the beginning, is that what causes the problem?
I guess spinning them round to plug in a connector and removing them altogether are two very different things! I imagine that would be a bit of a pain in the bottom.
Had mine for two years now. Not a problem so far and so much fun.
Thats very good to know. Cheers Philip! No surprises lurking around the corner!

Andy Man Cam ✅👍
How does it work between 1st to 2nd. With neutral inbetween, i wonder how it would react.
As long as you're direct and firm, it's surprisingly good! If you tickle it, you can hit a neutral. But shift with intent and it goes in every time.
@@AndyManCam That's what she said
Hi, you know how to disable downshift cutoff? Its annoying.
Hi Martin. Oddly enough, i do! And I’m going to make a video of how to do it, very soon.
@@AndyManCam That is great, do you have instructions from healtech? I buyied QS last week and I am thinking to return it if disabling of the downshifts cannot be solved normaly. I wrote today to healtech support I will see.
Is there anything needed other than what’s come with the package to install??
Thanks for a great video! Where did you buy your winscreen? I just bought myself the same bike.
Many thanks! I got it from www.louis.com although i find it quite noisy.
Hi Henrik, I am thinking about buying one for my FZ6. I know Andy didn't like it that much because of the wind noise, I want to get it on my bike mainly to protect all the gadgets mounted on the bars. Do you find it loud and annoying as well?
Hi! I did not buy a windscreen yet for my bike yet :) maybe latee this summer after ived recieved my license 😅
Guess I'll take the risk then. Thanks and ride safe!
The same to you! Ride hard but safe!
@@AndyManCam top man andy I better get on orderd
No problem! Have fun with it!
@@AndyManCam 🙂
Hi, my sensor threshold is set to 70% is this normal?
I’m afraid i couldn’t tell you. I left everything as it came out of the box or switched to auto. Contact Healtech for a real experts input 👍🏻
si la moto es de 1 cilindro (ejemplo ktm rc 200 o 390), ¿qué se hace con el segundo conector de inyector, se pone el plug que viene para taparlo, se deja libre, qué se hace?
Hi, It's bi-directional? (downshift-upshift)
It is, but there is no blipper, so the downshifts are quite clunky.
@@AndyManCam Thank you!:)
My pleasure!
Which are the best settings for fz1?
So far I just have the settings on default!
did you reflash the fz1 already?
I completrly reflashed it, with a Honda CB1000R 😜
@@AndyManCam haha nice!
Who's BMW Airhead is that? Andy Man Cam explores?
Sadly not. Thats the guy i share the garage space with.
Thanks a heap for that
My pleasure! Happy to help!
Help, my sense value is always too low
I uninstalled the sensor, and squeeze it out really hard, I only get 19% of sense value, I didn't install it too tight.
I didn't run the set up at the beginning, is that what causes the problem?
I'm afraid I'm not the expert. Contact Healtech and I'm sure they'll help you out.
Is this working on up and down shifts?
Yes, although it doesn’t have a blipper so the downshifts can be a bit clumsy.
The coils on this bike are real tough to get to, I had to remove some to diagnose a misfire and man was it tough with seized in caps.
I guess spinning them round to plug in a connector and removing them altogether are two very different things! I imagine that would be a bit of a pain in the bottom.
great video made,thank you.
Thank you too! Glad it was helpful!
At what RPMs does it work smooth? :) Thx
I have mine set to come in at 3000rpm. Between 3000 and 4000 it's a tiny bit clunky, but over that it's buttery smooth.
The led stays red by my bike Whats the problem?
Something is possible wired wrong. Contact tech support at healtech 👍🏻
