@@Jikrin Kate Moss is a 90s supermodel most famous for being skinny and having a rectangular shape. I'm honestly not entirely sure what you were responding to here, as I just meant to clarify that race isn't the only thing that plays into people's shapes and curves. Ergo claiming that having bigger curves is racist for a white woman is simply rude and frankly racist in itself - hence agreeing with Brett on this one. Your comment about the perception plastic surgery provides for young men (and women too to be fair) while fair, had nothing to do with my comment.

Most men -- myself included, like natural shapely curves, not BBLs. And honestly, most women don't realize just how beautiful they naturally are, no matter how many times men tell them, that they don't need a lot of makeup and certainly not plastic surgeries risking their health. Don't blame men for these ridiculous trends -- we never asked you to do any of that. And the very few that do? Leave them, because they too don't realize how beautiful most women are without all that stuff.

    • @vmasing1965
      @vmasing1965 2 місяці тому

Women have their own internal power-hierarchies based on how desirable they are to men.
Unfortunately women don't have any idea what men really like or don't like -- they do have some built in beauty standard for women but it doesn't match the one men have. Like, not even close... As a result the internal feminine _imagination_ about what it is men like usually takes over the real thing. Without women noticing.
To be fair, the fact that men constantly lie to women about everything having to do with looks certainly doesn't help things...

No most women are NOT attractive. They are fat and ugly and don’t care about their appearance at all. That’s MOST women.
Walk outside, go to a shopping center, FORCE yourself to look at EVERY woman you see and you will see that MOST PEOPLE are very ugly.
Go to a DMV that is the most accurate cross section of your local population. I challenge you to find more than 1/10 people BASED SOLELY ON APPEARANCE that are worth looking at bc of their natural beauty.
Make up can help, no more than two surgeries AT MOST. The most attractive women don’t need anything, yet they will.

I was the first in my class at 9 wearing a bra (not cool) then in 7th grade my chest was bigger then all the 8th graders (also not cool) on top of that I could NEVER share my friends pants because my Butt and thighs were always bigger!
When I was 24 I had 5 kids. I remember at the place I was working at a black male was flirting with me and at lunch he said I was built like a black woman. I didn't think much of it as far as race goes but I did find it to be a strange. Compliment.
Now almost 20 yrs later because of the Idiocracy of this racial shit we've been slammed with I look back at that comment way differently.
However from 12 to 42 I fluctuated from 140-190 lbs ( including pregnancies) and have always kept the Curves. Now I've gone much higher than that no matter what I do (sigh 😞😔).

The thing is beauty standards are made for men ( not men forcing it but for women to attract men based on what they like) but they exggarate features men want or try to find an easier unnatural way to acheive it. Many men like a big butt but not a BBL or plastic big butt. They like a natural big butt. And hey, not all men are the same so even if you have no butt, some would like that over having a fake one. At least thats what I see.

Exactly. Women are getting their cheeks slimmed down not for this weird gaunt look. It makes them look dead, but apparently that’s attractive. They’re just going backwards into the 90s trends of thin models and pop stars who also looked gaunt. There will never be a healthy trend because that’s not what it’s about. They want people to be miserable and constantly hate themselves for no reason. It makes them money and gives them attention.

My first instinct is to defend “big butts”, but it isn’t that simple. First off, it was once out of your control- you either had one or you didn’t, and shapes vary. However, recently the big butt thing has gotten way, way out of control to the point of body dysmorphia- complete ridiculous, non normal body shapes, which I find appalling. If you don’t have it normally, stop trying to force it. That needs to go away, along with drawing in your eyebrows like a cartoon character.

How the old fashioned drag queens w/ garishly overdone makeup used to do them. But so many women are doing it as part of their makeup routine. I've watched a few of those make up channels w/ morbid fascination. Tons of layers of makeup, highlighter, setting sprays, and about 4 or so steps just for eyebrows alone. Then they look all garish and overdone anyway and I'm thinking they looked much better before you added all the crap and crooning on them.

Every time I find myself in range of one of these girls, all I can think about, besides thinking "I can't breathe", is this is exactly how elderly women used to be when I was young. You would smell them from a mile away because they seem to have dumped an entire bottle of some cloying floral perfume on themselves. Now, young women are doing the same thing. This is really bad for me because I have a sinus issue that causes me to be seriously affected by strong floral scents. Exercises include squats, lying on your back, doing hip extensions as well as lunges, and many more.

I'm Brazilian and I've been following the channel as a way of keeping up with world news, especially from the USA. I believe that Brazil is one of the most mixed-race countries in the world and to say that something like cultural appropriation in this regard is malicious, because naturally we have characteristics, as can be deduced, that are very mixed. How can they say that about something related to Brazilians?! Absurd. Enough is enough. Great content, Brett!

To say that any body part, type or shape, belongs to a culture is ridiculous. There are over a billion Indians and many have junk in the trunk. There is no culture on this Earth that isn’t a mishmash of multiple cultures before it and to think that we should lay claim is just divisive.

It's because, unfortunately, in the US right now, if a white person participates in something generally associated with ANY NON-WHITE culture, even mixed, we are considered to be culturally appropriating and that is apparently wrong because as whites we are said to have "privilege" over ANYONE with even a mix of non white.
It's honestly racist as hell, and I can't stand it. They literally tell mixed people they aren't white. Like wtf. I'm a white girl for reference.

I never understood the affection for big butt. Not only because i'm more of a busty girl but being a child of the 90s, nobody found huge butt attractive, round little butt yes, big butt kardashian style no. It's really a thing that started in the second half of the 2000s and i never understood it. Especially as it went so far with fit girl who ended up weighing 50kg and half of their weight being their butt, BBL and other crap like that.

I was a child in the 90s too. Kate Moss and "heroin chic" (ie super skinny) were in. My naturally big booty was not in style so it was kind of nice to be represented by KK. If it's real (not BBL) paired with a small waist, I don't think that's ever unattractive. Everyone's preferences are different.

I’m from the 90s and I’ve always liked big butts. What do you mean lol. Sat around talking with friends at school about them and tons of dudes loved them. I’ve grown partial to a big gym booty. I’ve never been into BBLs, even from the start. Although a lot think every big butt is a bbl and my friend has an absolute shelf and she’s natural. It’s just genetics sometimes.

I hate how they keep changing trends regarding bodies. Like our frame (how we are built) is not something we can change😂 (obviously we can workout but that doesn’t change our bone structure or which areas where we naturally gain our weight) I have a naturally big butt and wider set hips compared to my waist/body. I am fit and go to the gym and through all of my weight fluctuations throughout life- my butt has stayed the same. Am I supposed to remove my butt to fit beauty standards? I will not. This is all so ridiculous this is why I stopped looking at beauty standards. Now I understand how women without curves must’ve felt for the past 10 years.

This is not the turn I was expecting this to take lol when you said "BBLs are out" I was expecting it to be because fake big butts always look fake and women who wanted big butts were hitting the squat rack and earning them for real. I follow a decent amount of fitness accounts and there's definitely a trend switch in recent years from the majority of female fitness influencers use to want a more toned lean muscle look to now wanting a slightly more bulked muscle look.
