@@RnRquicktrips Thank you ❤️🤩 Yes, i'm feeling very lucky and blessed indeed. Fun fact: the train ride you made from Flåm to Myrdal? Flåmsbanen, my grandfather were one of the builders of that railway stretch. He even got a medal from the king of Norway at the time for it🤩 He told me that they dug and built it mostly by hand..it was too steep for most machinery to work with .. 1 month = 1 metre railway 🤩
Hey, you two… I just came across your video series. It’s like watching a couple of our friends go on a trip. Thanks for all the tips. I super appreciate you both.
Your video was so helpful!! Going to Bergen this coming August. I've watched other videos that weren't nearly as informative and you managed to do it in a quarter of the time! Loved the Floibanen Funicular and will definitely be taking that trip.
You guys should consider flying back to Oslo with Norse. Jump on a 44 hour cruise from Oslo to Kiel in Germany (4 hours in Kiel) and back again to Oslo (Colorline cruises) You will experience the beautiful Oslo fjord, sail along Denmark, sail under the hughe Storebelt bridge, but also enjoying great food, shows and the biggest roropax ferry in the world. Back in Oslo, visit Holmenkollen skijumping arena, Fram and kontiki museum and much more😊😊😊😊😊
As someone from Bergen I appreciate that all the info you gave was correct, unlike many other travelers who show videos from our city. You also did some things that were very smart like going to Skjerjehamn on a ferry instead of the super touristy fjord cruises, did you have inside info? :) Also glad the weather was on your side. Welcome back to Bergen! Edit_ forgot to say, super filming!
Thank you, glad the video helped you! We used a credit card for the reindeer dogs, almost everywhere we went accepted credit cards. We did exchange some USD for NOK at the airport but rarely used it.
My husband and I are looking to do Norway in July and are looking to focus on Bergen and possibly the Flam area for 6 days. Based off your experiences, is there anything you’d recommend? (Length of time each location, food, experiences) We’d like to stick to a budget and there is the possibility of rd ting a car for a few days, but not all. Thanks!
So sorry for the late reply. We recommend at least 3 days in Bergen and 2 days in Flam. The train ride between the two is spectacular, in our opinion no need to rent a car. A walking tour in Bergen is a great way to get the lay of the city and decide what you may want to come back to. The ferry from Bergen to Skjerjahamn is a great (and quick) way to see the islands surrounding Bergen. The Bergen Fishmarket is a must do for a meal. Flam is so lovely - be sure to walk into the town where the old church is. The Flam Bakery has heavenly cinnamon rolls!
We flew because we were out of time. The flight was 1 1/2 hours and cost about $60. If we had the time we would have taken the same train back - it was that good!
@@RnRquicktripsGreat video, but did you have a stopover at another airport from Bergen to Oslo? The direct plane between Bergen and Oslo normally takes 50 minutes.
@@RnRquicktrips Yes, that is understandable 🙂 I just didn't want anyone to believe the flight is that long between the two cities 🙂 The country is long enough as it is 😄
So proud of my beautiful city❤
You are very lucky to live in Bergen!

@@ingunnelisenitter-nerland2208 That is so cool! He definitely deserves a medal, I can't imagine what it took to build that railway!

Thank you so much! Glad it was helpful. Definitely take the funicular, it is beautiful at the top.
Sunshine in Bergen! So lucky! 😎 Very nice video from Bergen and the surrounding area. Welcome back to Norway!
Thank you! We were so lucky with the weather. Can't wait to come back!

Thanks for the info, we would love to do that. What a cool 44 hours that would be, adding it to our list!

Thank you so much! The ferry to Skjerjehamm was pure luck, we weren't planning on getting off but so glad we did. What a beautiful city!
Those vital information. That's help me a lot. Do they accept cash nok money to buy for reindeers dog . It's look great 🎉 from Florida

What month were you in Norway?
We were there the second week of June. We had beautiful weather, the Norwegians told us it was unusually warm for early June.
What Airbnb did you stay in?
It's called "Trine's Place" and it was a perfect location for walking everywhere.

@@TravellingTorunn Your're right, the flight was about 50 minutes. Our flight was delayed, so it seemed longer than that!

@@TravellingTorunn Yes! Long and skinny.
Are you visiting Jacob ?? Scott's son
Yes! We met with him in Oslo.
