- We have left New Mexico and arrived in Colorado. We found an amazing camping spot in the San Isabel National Forest. Just 30 mins east of our camping spot is the beautiful town of Buena Vista, Colorado where we hit up some of the MTB trails. The next day we head north to Wyoming in search of a new camping spot. Along the way we share with you map apps that we use and how we find our camping spots.

Yup been there fallen many a time. Once I got shin guards/knee guards, and elbow guards I have so much more confidence! And I don’t get hurt, as much.
Get a thermacell to keep the skeeters down. They are awesome!! Head on up to the Bighorns! Lots of boondocking sites. As long as you move every 2 weeks your good for the rest of summer. Fire ban in effect.

I just had to re-watch this video. It's so gorgeous, plus I love your camp set up and equipment. You are litterally living off-grid! Your hubby is funny...."Oh she's alright, after you wiped out on your bike. As blood is gushing out of your arm. She's fine! Well actually my dear, it hurts like hell. Lol. Then at breakfast the next morning, "You are alright, right?" Those injuries hurt like crap! You are one tough lady!
I am glad Kelly is ok and healing up. That was so scary. I almost started crying seeing her get hurt like that. Stay safe and be careful. Also make sure you got your bear spray and food locker. Watching those grilled cheese sandwiches made me think of how good they would smell in the woods.

Wife and I just completed a three week trip out in the SE Oregon desert where there are very very very few stores anywhere out there, let alone with any kind of fresh food available. We packed almost all the food we were going to need for the three weeks, knowing that we would grab a burger here and there at the few small diners sprinkled out there. Anywho, in our planning/shopping phase we packed canned meats from Costco (beef in broth, beef in gravy, pulled pork, chicken, tuna, and salmon, as well as chili. We also stocked up on prebagged meals like Uncle Bens rice, red beans and rice, and some delicious Indian meals like bombay potatoes, lentles, marsala, etc. We mixed and matched random things together and got surprised how great they tasted and filled us up.
Granted you don't have to carry three weeks of canned, ready to heat meals with you, but it wouldn't hurt to stock a few days worth in the event you find a place you want to stay longer at and just need to wing a few meals until you get back to civilization to restock. Or, if Kelly gets injured and can't cook, Cody can use a can opener and a knife and heat up a great meal.
I tell ya, the canned beef with gravy, canned green beans, packaged mashed potatoes and a slice of toasted sourdough would fool the greatest critic as it makes a silly easy, but incredibly tasty meal.
Really enjoyed the driving portion and your process in checking out potential camp spots. 🏕👍

My husband and I used to mountain bike a lot and I have crashed/wrecked so many times, never any serious injuries but a lot of scrapes and bruises! It is amazing and I always got back up and got back on my bike! I’m glad you were not seriously injured Kelly and good for you for getting up and getting back on! Y’all keep doing your happy!!! 💜

We love biking on rail trails. While watching this video, I started thinking that maybe we could try some mountain trails. Then the wipeout happened and I was like, nope, probably not. lol I’m glad you’re ok. I know that has to be sore!

I've camped in that area (upper trailhead of Huron Peak) and it's beautiful. Dispersed camping is the way to go. Can't wait for my Tab 320 to get here!
My favorite animal is a wolf. My home office is filled with wolf decorations and of course I’ve had numerous wolf t-shirts. Hope you heal quickly Kellie. I was just thinking that before you fell that I’d probably fall there too.

I attempted to summit mount Elbert (tallest in Colorado) a few years ago and ended up getting hit with some pretty severe altitude sickness. Not for the faint of heart for sure.
