I will make it just like you, please tell me what is this thread called, it is not woolen, right? What kind of thread is this? Lots of love 😘 💕 from India 🙏🏻🇮🇳🫶🏻
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I just finished mine using Mandala Baby, color Echo Caves. Its so beautiful and several crochet friends asked me about the pattern, so I directed them to your channel.
I love this! Making it for my daughter. So, you work 26 rows, then work the scallop? Also, to make this for my 9 year old granddaughter, do I work the same but crochet less rows? TIA for the answers. This is very beautiful. 🥰
Yes, after 26 rows you start the scallops. As for the granddaughter's version...you can work it for fewer rows, however, the neck opening might be too large. You might have to work a few rows of sc to tighten up the opening. Hope this helps.
I honestly don't know. I haven't made one like that yet. The corners is what makes it grow row over row so not sure how it would work without. Thanks for watching!
I am so disappointed… I’ve bought the yarn and the instructions are clear enough, but no matter what I do I can’t keep the circle from twisting… I guess this is just too challenging for me… Do you have any suggestions?
After repeatedly trying again and again, and checking other videos about starting chains, little did I realize that I was twisting my chain and sometimes plugging into the bottom chain, versus the top of the chain…, thus my problem….ty for taking the time and interest in getting back to me…I am enjoying making my poncho!
@@joyceandraysmith9289 I'm so glad you worked it out. I do say at the beginning at 1:55 to make sure you're not twisting the starting chain. In any case, you're good now and that's what matters.
Hi, one tip I've picked up when doing a long chain is to add stitch markers every 10 chains (more or less as you find the easiest) then as you go along check each 10 are not twisted. Make sure your stitch markers are at the "bottom" of the chain. Glad you're carrying on, I'm about to make my second following this pattern. 🎉

Just seeing the picture I know I'll be making this. How many balls did you use for this beautiful top? Thank you for sharing your talent
I'm happy you like this. The detail is in the 'description box' below the video: 6 ounces size S - M / 9 ounces L - 1X
What happens if u don't do the corners
Thanks, 👍🏽 a poncho.
Thank you for watching!
Can this be adjusted for plus sizes? It's absolutely beautiful!
I'm happy you like it. Please watch the video. The answer to your question is right there.
Hi, lovely poncho. How many balls did you use?

How many g of yarn does it need?
I've100g of 5ply yarn
This uses 6 - 9 ounces of a #3 yarn. I don't have the grams.
@@CrazyCoolCrochet oh it's about 170-256g of yarn ....thank u . 🥰
.
Could you omit the corners and have it come out as a round poncho? Would it be full enough?
I honestly don't know. I haven't made one like that yet. The corners is what makes it grow row over row so not sure how it would work without. Thanks for watching!
Hello, I have yarn that says #1, super fine, hook 3.5mm/E/4, can I still make this with the same number of stitches in the starting chain?
It will turn out smaller so best to go up a size.
I am so disappointed… I’ve bought the yarn and the instructions are clear enough, but no matter what I do I can’t keep the circle from twisting… I guess this is just too challenging for me… Do you have any suggestions?
At what point in the process is your circle twisting? As long as the initial chain is not twisting the remaining pattern should not twist.
After repeatedly trying again and again, and checking other videos about starting chains, little did I realize that I was twisting my chain and sometimes plugging into the bottom chain, versus the top of the chain…, thus my problem….ty for taking the time and interest in getting back to me…I am enjoying making my poncho!

Yes, you absolutely mentioned it but, I guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention..lesson learned!
