I am not only excited about this yarn color-way, your design & clear instructions, but also the fact that you didn’t have any distractions with background music during your tutorial. Thank you so much!!! I can’t wait for my yarn to arrive. You are very talented!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. This is one of the best video I’ve ever seen because it’s very clear and I love the Written instructions. I already bought a yarn. can’t wait to make it Thank you so much Thank you so much
Stephanie what a great teacher you are . I can't wait to see more of your great tutorials. I have made two of these ponchos following your tutorial. Thank you.
Im halfway through and i just wanted to say i love this pattern. It's easy, fast and beautiful. I also love the way you teach and out the instructions on the screen.
Stephanie, you did a fabulous job with your tutorial. You made it all so easy....I used red hearts., Show Time yarn. It is stunning. I just started crocheting in November. I'm a crocheting maniac!!! Thanks again for your thorough video!!!❤
I have already used this pattern and it turned out beautifully. I am now making it again in plain cream yarn, and am already loving the results. The pattern is so lovely that even in plain yarn, it looks great and you can really see the crochet stitches well. Thank you for this tutorial.
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial!! Very easy to follow with verbal and written directions along with explanations of what you are doing😊. Highly recommend to all levels of crocheters
I've been trying to crochet project for over a year now n they just never work out. I'm quite confident that I can do this one... your a great teacher I can't wait to see what else you have out there!
I did add a couple of rows to each square and completed the poncho. I love, love, love it. Thank you for being such a great teacher and yes this pattern was so much fun.
So beautiful, a awesome tutorial, thanks so much for sharing I can’t wait to do. Have never seen anyone do a Dc or Tc like that at the beginning of a round learn something new everyday. Thanks again beautiful colors too.
I wanted to make a granny square poncho for a long time. I tried another one by crochet addiction, but it was in another language and it was so hard to follow. This one is so much easier and your directions are wonderful. Thankyou!!
This video is the best out there, you describe everything so well and so clearly. Thank you so much. I have made 2 ponchos, one for my daughter and one for me 😃
Thank you. I watched the video and followed your instructions. The caron cake I was using was no longer available, so I made a few substitutions, and I completed a beautiful pancho! Thank you!
Hi there, you have a brillant way of teaching with your calming voice and easy flowing technique of crocheting. Thnx a bunch. I have finished 2 of the circles/squares.👌👍👏🌷🌷
I made two of these in the same yarn, Caron Cotton Cakes, but in different colors. Wonderful, slightly stretchy yarn to work with and I found it on sale! Yay! It took a couple of practice squares before I found the right hook to use (5.5 mm for me ) to obtain the 15- x 15-inch square size needed. Once that was done, the rest was easy as could be, the instructions clear and easy to follow, and the ponchos turned out beautifully. They are a lot of fun to wear! Thank you for this lovely pattern and excellent, as always, tutorial instruction. I also enjoyed the short modeling footage at the beginning of this tutorial, showing two different ways to rock the poncho! :)
I love this so much! I had leftover yarn from a colour error in a different project, so I decided to make one of these, and I've had nothing but compliments. It's gorgeous, and so warm, and this tutorial is so clear and easy to follow. Thanks very much for my new favourite item of clothing! ♥️
Hello...I have never ever knitted or crocheted anything in life before as it always confused me and I would give it up easily...but after seeing your this video for the first time in my life I have made this crochet poncho for myself...though it's not perfect like yours but I am really really happy...thanks a lot for your patience and detailed instructed guidance through out the video....
This pattern and tutorial is amazing, i added a few extra rows to mine just for it can be larger but even without the extra rows it is awesome, i added just because i like larger ones ❤
Very detailed video, thank you. I have struggled to get this yarn, (in the uk), but eventually found it online in your colourway, only to then be told it was oos! Thankfully they had another colour which I liked as much, (bleached glass) and that's on order now. I can't wait to get started!
such an easy tutorial, not sure how but mine came out smaller and the neck is not as wide but thought I followed the instructions clearly maybe it is the yarn or my tension. the length of mine come to my waist! surely tension cannot be that tight. all my squares are the same size too. Not sure where I went wrong but I was excited to put it together and see it as one, I am very proud of it to say the least. Thank you
Just found your channel via your FB post. Have liked and subscribed. Beautiful poncho, thank you so much for making and sharing the pattern and tutorial! On my project list and I have several types of yarn I would love to use for this gorgeous poncho.
Love this pattern, you are a wonderful teacher, I’m on the final row and am wondering if I can keep adding rows to make the poncho longer? Thanks so much!
I added a fourth row but after the corners I made it go dc, ch1, skip a stitch, dc ch1 skip a stitch and it came out pretty good! Keeping corners the same, Just cuz I didn’t wanna keep adding rows of the plain double crochet
I just finished joining the squares(I used Red, white and Blue for American flag colours since I recently became a citizen) oh my goodness I’m definitely making another one soon😱😻this is the best wearable I’ve ever crocheted 🧶 thank you so much for such an easy tutorial, this was quick too
Hi Stephanie, I just finished the poncho. I added more rows around the bottom edge and finished it slightly different. I used the same yarn except used the ‘Calico Flowers’ color. Thank you for a great video!
Love this poncho! You are a wonderful teacher. I made this with a variegated cotton yarn from Ice Yarns using a pink and purple. Definitely subscribed to your channel to see more great projects.
Hi Stephanie, it was so lovely to come across your tutorial, am absolutely overwhelmed by your poncho. Having gone through your tutorial twice am really looking forward to crochet one for myself because i never crochet anything for me except for others 😂 Stephanie i have some yarn which has a bit of wool in it, do think it could work with you pattern as i wanted something for winter. Thanks it has been a pleasure meeting you and your voice and explaining is so sweet ❤too lots of love 💕👍😍🙏🏻Hasumati from London Uk
Lovely, roughly what size garmet do you think it is? I'm making this for someone i a different country therefore can't size on them. I think they would be an xl. Should I add any extra rounds @stephanieZed
I'm making one for my self right now! Great instructions, thank you so much. I'd like to make one for my mom and so i have a question. If I wanted to make it plus size should I go for more rounds then the last 3 before sewing or is it going to mess everything up?
I love this poncho!! But I am petite and would like one that is smaller/shorter. How would you recommend that I modify in the pattern to accomplish this?
I'm so sad! I just finished the final row haven't put the fringe on yet... I think it turned out awesome except it looks like it will fit a child not the adult large I thought it might be... I've worked on this thing for 3 months now so I definitely don't want to undo it or anything... if I just add rows to the bottom would that work? I can't add to the squares because they are already put together... hopefully it doesn't look dumb with such a small neck lol.... I don't want to sound like I'm bashing you that's definitely not the case. This was the 1st thing I've ever been able to complete only because your explanation of each stitch and row is so easily understood! You're a wonderful teacher! I can wait to make something else you have out there!!!!
You can definitely add more rows to the bottom. Were your squares 15"? If yes, then next time make them a bit bigger. Depending on your yarn, sizing does change. As for the neck, I have seen smaller neck lines and even cowl necks for ponchos. Good luck, I hope it works out!
Awesome tutorial!! I had tried others but quickly grew frustrated and thought I would never master the granny square. But your instruction is so easy to follow and this pattern is just gorgeous!! Definitely going to check out the rest of your work 😊
I love that you present the written direction at the beginning of each round and that you leave it there the entire round. Thank you!😊
You’re welcome. 😃
just about finished just have to sew in ends and do the fringe. Really loved your pattern.Thank you
Yes the written part helps as much as you telling how
I like this a lot 😊

I have already used this pattern and it turned out beautifully. I am now making it again in plain cream yarn, and am already loving the results. The pattern is so lovely that even in plain yarn, it looks great and you can really see the crochet stitches well. Thank you for this tutorial.

2 of the Caron cakes.

Lovely pattern and color.
Do you cut the yarn to fit the colors you want on a round or just let it run with the colors that show up from the yarn?
I just let it run. 😀
