My original idea was to use Riv Nuts, but after fighting for a whole morning with one Riv Nut that just wouldn't grip the thin metal around the wheel arches I chalked it up to a bad idea!
At their widest, these are 12cm. I have never seen any wider than that, that weren’t custom made. Some people add rubber ‘wings’ to the bottom edge to make them that but wider.
J-Tac thanks, this convinced me more to upgrade to 33s. But I think I will go with 305/70 r16 same diameter as yours. You got any lift build in like seen in the vid? 35s would be a dream. But very costly over here in Germany 🙄
Unfortunately I have no videos on the lift. I did that before I decided to start making videos. It currently has a 2” lift, but I have 2” spacer kit to add to that. (So I can be sure the 35’s will fit)
They're actually not. I was surprised (and a little sceptical) about this. Especially the ones on the rear doors... But, they've been on there now for over 5,000 miles and a few off road sessions with no dramas!
I klnow this is 5 years old but I will leave this for others before they screw their panels. Wrong screws, not designed for sheet metal. Use fine-threaded screws or better still, drill holes and use Nut-Serts / RivNuts. Never screw metal into metal without a sealant as you will most likely be using different metals that will corode. These plastic moulds are flimsy and should be bonded/sealed with Urethane sealant to body panels for sealing and strength.
you can order it from mendrek.equipment :) mendrek.com/Fender-flares-for-Nissan-Patrol-GR-Y61-97-05-5-doors-width-12cm-wheel-arch-extension-mendrek-30.html
Nice work man
Great job , only thing I would change ,use rivenuts and stainless socket head bolts .

@@JTactical I know the feeling 😂 I bought a tool when I was last in U.S goes from m4-m14 , cost £££ but worth it
Where did you get your arches and snorkel ?
Both from eBay. (I think the arches ended up coming form a German company... I didn't have the money for the Kut Snake ones!)
@@JTactical great job do you have a link?
What brand are these flares ?
How'd the rear doors go? They mount straight to the door?
Yep, straight to the door... It was a concern of mine, but they are solid!
Are these flares wide enough for 315/75r15 (35") on a - 44beg offset rim
In the video, mine are 285’s on a -35 rim and they still stick out a little.
I got a GQ. So was just wondering. Are they the widest you can get? What is the width of the flares top-down from the body?
At their widest, these are 12cm.
I have never seen any wider than that, that weren’t custom made.

@@JTactical thanks mate

J-Tac thanks for the info🤟🏻
Are the wheel arches screwed on from below?
They're actually not. I was surprised (and a little sceptical) about this. Especially the ones on the rear doors... But, they've been on there now for over 5,000 miles and a few off road sessions with no dramas!
Thanks. I will install the wheel arches soon
