    Pro tip if you can be bothered. After drilling the holes remove the flare again to coat the new holes with paint/antirust/some form of non corrosive sealant if you plan on keeping the car or care about doing a good job.

    Got to love it when you measure a job with beers. I remember a time when distance was measured that way. Scary to think about it now. Good job fellas.

    I found it best before installing, fill these guards with plumbers expanding foam spray. This gives the guards a lot more guts and stops them from cracking if you give them a nudge whilst off-roading. Remember these bad boys stick out nearly 70mm and are prone to a few knocks and scrapes. I have these on my GQ Patrol and no cracks so far. Hope this helps as they are bloody expensive to replace.

    I really like the fenders on the 70 séries but drilling hold on body is a invitation to rust

  • @sirsyphron7878

    Interesting. I bought a kit for my 75 series troopy and the fitment is awful. Cannot get them snug under the wheel arch, it’s like they’re too “short” so they dont meet the guard at one end. They sit off the body too far to get an accurate pilot drill in there and when you finally do get to push it close to the body (with a lot of force!) the bloody seal slips off the flare, so you have to start all over again. Makes it a hard job! Gonna keep trying.....

      oh righto mate i have never fitted them to a 75 and honestly was unaware they made them for 75 series, hope you got it sorted

    Are these wider at the back so you can run the wide diff or -50 offset rims?

    • @WACampingAdventures
      @WACampingAdventures  3 роки тому

      Gday michael, no mate these arent wider out the back BUT i have -50 rims and they basically sit flush so these are a perfect size for that! Hope this helps mate!

  • @brightonXIV

    Hey Mate,
    How wide are the flares?
    When I put a friends 285’s on , with the rear rim having a negative 50 or 55mm offset to align the rear track with the front.
    The tyre comes out 80mm from the body of the vehicle on the rear,
    And come out 50mm.
    ????let me know, cheers

      Gday mate mint question, id say they are pretty in line with the flares brother. Check out some of my latest vids, i have changed to a neg 55 on the rear and you will see the clearance better. I hope this helps brother! Cheers

    • @WACampingAdventures
      @WACampingAdventures  5 років тому

    Just wondering which type of Kut Snake flares they were monster ABS or the standard size ? Also how big are your wheels ?

    • @WACampingAdventures
      @WACampingAdventures  4 роки тому +1

      Gday mate! My wheels are 285s brother or 33” round a bouts. Im pretty sure the flares are standard size. Around 60-65mm. Hope this helps mate!
