great video. about to fit mine. this has been a great help 10/10
Thanks buddy much appreciated
Thanks mate I have a ml triton and have been contemplating putting on a wider set of guards
Nice video, just a pity about that front gap!
Lone Wolf yeah she was a bit of a cock up but shit happens!
That's not a good fit on that gap. Sure we could do better than that.
I agree, shit job
Agreed
nice job! I would like to do this to my l200 too! I like your channel a lot of nice ideas
Thanks so much mate
Nice one looks good 😎
M8 your brilliant, I just brought 3mtrs and just about to try an fit to my van
Thanks legend!!
Hey just wondering after installing them did you put wheel spacers to make tyre flush with flare
Great video.
Thanks Brodie
Bonjour c'est possible de commander des elargisseurs sportero benne longue de 2013.merci
Great video dude👍
I’ve just ordered a set for my truck, they are the kit snake brand which are the same as yours. I went with those because of the excellent quality of the ABS plastic!
I’ve just got one question for you. What size drill bits did you use to make the holes in the guards and was it the same size in the metal arches on the car? This could make it easier for me when I come to fitting mine!
Thanks in advance!
I feel like saying they were 6mm but in the instructions they give you all the details. You won't look back mate they are great quality
That’s a great help, thanks dude. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming 👍
What offset rims do you have?
And what size flares did you get?
Are the self tapping screws enough to hold everything in for off road? Bit worried to do install without nuts to secure
Yeah mate they won't be coming off anytime soon they put so much tension on the guard it warps the panel if you pull it to tight. I'll keep ya informed if it changes though
I would go with those two piece rivet / anchor screws.
What screws do you use? As I have bought some second hand and they didn’t come with mounting bolts.
Use Allen key screws with a thread mate
Are the flares hollow ? Was wondering about the gape were you cut it near the bullbar and crap building up under the flare . Looks awesome though
Yeah they are hollow mate
@@4x4CampingandAdventures how would you close up the opening you cut near the bullbar ? It would be at least a 75 mm opening !
David Vickery nah she’s not that bad mate maybe a 2cm gap we adjusted the bull bar so it’s a bit cleaner now
Any update on the flares? Have they come off yet? Just about to install mine on my Triton.
Still on mate
What size tyres are you running mate?
Iv looked at getting the 80mm flares but havnt yet, my stockers are coming off.
I have 275/75/16s, my only worry is it will look dicky if my tyres arnt quite widw enough to suit.
Altho I'll prob get wider tyres next time around.
Mine are 285-75-16 so they won’t look to bad mate
what off set do you run on them ??
What size are they I'm looking at 65mm don't no if there big enough
These are 95mm
I see you mounting to the outside of the quarter panel, but do you have to screw inside wheel arch
No mate it’s screwed through the wheel arch
Hey just wondering where you got the flares from trying to find some for my triton
EBay mate
Never seen anyone drill straight into concrete before 😂
How to blunt a bit 101
Glad I'm not the only one who saw that. I've never seen anyone just drill holes through their quarter panels without an anti rust solution either.
Painted the holes where the metal was exposed so no need
Did you have to alter around the staino or it fit fine?
Fatu ‘ fits with a few mm to spare mate
Nice video man, what offset are your wheels?
16x8 0 offset mate 🤙
Are they just tech-screwed on to the guards??
Nah mate it's a self screw not tech screws stainless steel so they don't rust
Bit late...sorry however what screws did you use or did they come with the kit?
They come with the kit self drilling mate
Wow quick reply thanks bud , where did you buy them from
eBay mate from a Aussie dealer honestly can’t remember the name but he was super helpful
Did you just search Kut snake Flares?
Just for you mate I got the original seller www.ebay.com.au/itm/162333662891
What roof rack you sporting there mate?
Hey mate Rola Titan rack 1500
@@4x4CampingandAdventures Cheers mate. I'll take a look at them.
what wheel offset and width do you have mate?
0 offset and they are 16x8s mate
Will -19 offset stick a lot out or I should go for +32
Cut the flare straight. Should cut on an angle. 😂
Hah nailed it
Great job. What do they cost?
$599 mate from ocam
@@4x4CampingandAdventures forgive my ignorance but $600 seems like extortion to me. 4 plastic mouldings. Nice edition though, looks great.
You can get cheaper stuff but it's fiberglass and from what I have seen isn't as strong. But yeah they are not cheap by any means
what rim/tyre size/offset mate?
16 inch rims 285/75/16 rims and 0 offset
4x4 Camping and Adventures I have -12 offset which just come out that little bit more.
Hey mate, are these the monster flares?
Cut snake mate
@@4x4CampingandAdventures Sorry, there's multiple sizes of kutsnake. Do you remember if they were the 95mm? and what offset were you running if you still remember lol
0 offset on the wheels these were the biggest so 95mm
What’s your rear bar?
Was called a powerful 4x4 bar mate
Cheers mate! Bloody legend
Now to tackle the flares tomorrow 🤞🏻
should cut that front flare at angle the bull bar is ,then look factory ,having not cut it right it looks butchered sadly
Ah well live and learn these things happen
You fucked that up, where you cut it in line with the bull bar
Sure did but honestly I could care less it's a 4wd mate not a show car
4x4 Camping and Adventures true
I got fined $417 the other day. Had no flares
Its a triton 🤣
lmfao dudes cut the front gap like a drunk toddler. Step away from the 4wd mate you have no business fitting accessories.
Settle down for a minute, I already acknowledged I stuffed up but the video still shows you how to install the flares even if I stuffed it up.
@@4x4CampingandAdventures After installing them like a retarded P plater, you had the option to just... not post the vid XD
At least it was only a Triton so the value stayed the same. Imagine if you did it to a real 4WD XD
