Awesome video T-Fant😎👌🏼 I thought it was cool/interesting to see that they move his foot pegs back a little bit to work with his technique. Jade Dungey did an awesome job talking about the bike too!
Imagine this exact bike with an 85' CR500 motor, its now do'able with the raised split downtube for the 500 centerport exhaust, already seen one done, airbox is the only workaround.
You pretty much can for around 13k and some change - let's just say 14k after fees, licensing, and state tax. Lol The 2021 CRF450R Works Edition is the sexiest bike you can buy, for sure...well, it is for me personally, anyways! The other (which is my dream bike) would be the TM MX450Fi W/ Double Exhaust, Ohlin's Suspension package, and carbon fiber systems - around 18k said and done, and I've never seen one in person or online - just seen it available on the order form...AND you can choose 5 or 6 spd transmission!!?? How cool is that?? Honda & TM FTW!!!💪💪💪
From some people I’ve talked to they are right around stock typically, just move the delivery to exactly where the rider wants it with cam and mapping and compression.
In other videos I've got the impression that the bikes aren't really tuned. They just make the power more manageable. I totally believe that, I've ridden some 450's that have been tuned for power and they are horrible to ride - too aggressive and way more power than is needed.
I once asked a factory mechanic in the pits and he said its a couple pounds lighter than stock but only because all the extra electronics and sensors add weight 🤷🏼♂️
think honda has finally figured out handling in new gen.....remember the 07 and 08 450s when they were the " perfect 450" and they started over.....now back in that realm
I know they get new pads fresh clutch and rubber every time they hit the track but after every event do the mechanics go as far as rebuild the calipers and master cylinders with new internals? I know the engine gets tore down & rebuilt & they basically have a new bike at every race but didn't know about the brakes
I rebuild the brakes with new piston and seals 1/2 through sx and same goes for out doors. But ever race i service the calipers and master cylinders and put new brake pads on too

Ya for real. Everyone talks about factory level bikes being crazy fast. 250 as fast as stock 450 and such but how. All the stuff on that bike is cool but none of it explains how it's so fast.
Oh so much they don't show that makes it a factory bike like ignition and the tiny things in the motor of shaved gears and so on to reduce weight. I'm not sure but I believe these engines only have like a 10 or 12 hr engine life before torn all apart again. Don't hold me to it but I believe that is what I have heard but if someone knows please chime in.
Yep same with the amount you torque your motor mount bolts triple clamp bolts ect. 1 foot pound of torque in the right spots makes a massive difference
Except they do. All these fancy graphics kits as well as the swingarm kits add a little bit of weight. Next time your order a FULL graphics kit, take that shit out of the box and hold it in your hands. The epoxy that bonds the graphics to the plastics and metal on the stantions and swingarm weighs a shit ton. Do your research.

An entire graphics kit, shrouds, fenders, swing arm, fork guards, number plates with 100% coverage weighs depending on company and thickness weigh up to 3 lbs.
Yes if you go add up and weigh a complete dirt bike graphic kit that is sold on the market, it can add up to 2-3 pounds. Sounds crazy but those are the facts. We know and keep track of every individual nut and bolt, plastic, graphic, etc when it comes to the weight of each part on our factory Honda’s.
