I aint gonna lie. When I listen to Mike on the pulp show, he comes off a little like a know it all (which the dude is on point), but listening to his bike breakdowns, or parts reviews, or team / rider updates, the dude has the best lingo out there, always a great breakdown of what he is talking about and with great knowledge.. good stuff
Honda is keeping as much stock as possible to help with sales. This gen bike is great, once you drop $2-3k in suspension upgrades just to make it competitive. Pro riders more like $10k. ECU, just rip it out and start over. Die hard Honda owner since 1985 aaand I now own 2 Husqvarnas. Maybe 2024 or 2025 Honda will get it right again?
Did they bring multiple bikes to this shoot or is this mixed images from different bikes? In one shot it's clearly running the raw Motostuff front disc bracket and in another it has a black coated bracket. Small difference but as a parts geek I'd like to know which they're actually running?
What is the grip tape called? I'm interested in the clear but don't know what it's called. I've bought stair, ruberized grip tape and it works ok. Skateboard tape shaves your boots down
I see Ken runs his hydraulic clutch hose in front of the handlebars (traditional way) and not behind like the production bikes. I'm not a fan of the clutch hose running behind the handlebar, similar to the throttle cables (a la KTM). So if their factory riders don't like running the clutch hose behind the handlebar, why do they do it on their production bikes!
It’s the mechanics that prefer that routing but there is some unique modifications that have to be done to get it to not bind up that way. Honestly, the hydro was a last minute addition to the 2021 production model and the routing wasn’t well thought out.
@@vitalmx Thanks for your reply. I saw a guy on UA-cam who had bought a 21 CRF450R and he had re-routed the clutch hose the traditional way and advised me that he just simply moved it to the front of the handlebars and had no issues doing that.
@@limpetcarre1139 It can be pinched easily between the fuel tank or radiators depending on the routing. The stock line also is a tick short for it and can bind up at extreme turning angles. The line the HRC team uses is a tick longer for this routing.
Michael Lindsay is the embodiment of what an MX journalist should be. Amazing content, please keep it up, we greatly appreciate it
Like Jody!
Michael, for the love of god, keep those yummy details coming.
Michael, that was the best look into the factory bikes I’ve ever seen by anyone or any publication. Excellent!!
I agree.
one thing I think we can all agree on, this bike looks damn good
The best at explaining a Factory Honda race machine.
I love Honda.
Can’t wait to see this bike this season!
Beautiful 94 ken got it this year I can feel it
Michael you've hit again out of the ball park, enjoyed that.
Lindsay as always is on point. I Iove his work.

I could watch one of these every day ML! I just cant get over the fact we still call these classes “production” when they are so internally boned out
You've been doin a stellar job on these ML 👍 👊.. Always Dig the HRC bike's .. Can't Wait fellas 😉.. Old G
Dream bike...
ML is the man. Thanks for the vid!
Go 94 .you got this year .
Merci pour cette très belle vidéo , si vous pouvez nous présenter l'ensemble des motos d'usine SX + MX saison 2022 , TOP .
Having been injured so many times and getting older, its understandable Ken needs a "softer" ride

@@JetSkiSuper7 yup, with more bling off the showroom floor. I'm 100% cool with it. Braaaaap braaaaap
Looks like Kenny cuts the crossbar though Michael? Any insight?
Everyone ride red it’s the best You guys seen It all At A1
welcome back
outdoor they change only the clamps offset?
Is that a HUGE frame crack at 0:48?

The MotoStuff piece was from the 250, it accidentally got mixed into this video.
Great video, estimated price?

It’s made by 3M.
How would someone get a hold of that CMT usa skid plate? Asking for a friend
Ive been riding Yosh for over 16 years. Not other system comes close!!! Not even close..
I like it.
nice job!
Today, we dig into why Ken should have no excuses
do these bikes even have a 5th gear in them or is it removed
It has fifth gear
@@vitalmx oh ok probably not used much. i remember first year yz450 it had that gear removed
song name ?
That frame @00:52 😬
I saw that too. Guess that's how they let the frame flex. 😂😉
Im surprised it doesn’t have training wheels to be honest
You can’t put training wheels on a rocket, but maybe a Yamaha!
B E A utiful
Crack in the frame @ 6:28 ?
Yeah, bet a bike with about 15 sets of eyes on it, has cracks in the frame 😂
That's how they allow the frame to flex. Plus, filling all the cracks would add too much weight. 😉 😆
Shoulda bought a Honda.
Pretty cool but it’s not a two stroke.
all that standard steel components is because everyone knows the Honda is TWITCHY and SKETCHY AF on a tight track.

How many times did you say "albeit" ?
Did you just add this word to your vocabulary and want to show off ?
😂😂
Bad habit of using that word. At least I don’t say ummm every five words ha!
If you ride this bike are you guaranteed to finish 2nd all the time
Snarky
Or First!
