Thanks, was struggling with a flexgate for 3 hours because I though I was soldering it badly.
Turns out it was not the LCD backlit issue but the graphic flex cable -_________-

many thanks for the video! I have called the Apple support team, and they don't want to acknowledge the issue as design fault....replacing the screen at my local service provided is around $1000Nz, which seems quite wrong specially for the price we have paid for my Mac, thinking that Apple was a responsible brand. They told me that this issues has never been reported back on the service report.
I literally reported this same issue to them and have evidence of me doing so in case you wanna catch them in a lie!

This is a very informative video. For example i have an iPhone xs and because of the new design of the logic board that has layers now something common is broken and my touch is gone even with a brand new screen. because of that I got back using my iPhone 7 plus since like 30 october. the phone is mint but 2 days ago it fell from like 80 centimeters on soft ground and the common audio ic chip became unsolderd and now I cant call or use my mic anymore. With the big prices of the iPhone a lot of people like myself cant buy a new phone so I am using my 5s that keep in mind is from 2013. even loading safari takes ages

Well I have a MacBook Pro 2016 A1707 Touch Bar
I was watching a video and it completely just started flickers and I thought I had to buy a new screen 😪
Fun fact: they have now Apple silicone which turns fans on lower speeds than Intel ones, so there will be less damages to ribbon cables because of dirt :)
Non-fun fact: I have the same problem on my 2019 16'' - 6+1vertical lines over whole screen in 70% of screen positions and it is getting worst with every open/close.... it is 3 years old, they won't hear anything about free replacement but I told them this will start to happen more and more on 2017-2020 MBP ... Only thing from them will be that they will report this in-house ..... Hopefully we get repair program like it was for Flexgate .... 900€ is value of this laptop and repair is the same amount ....

Thanks for the video. Just a small thing if I may. That organ tone music that you have playing in the background is extremely annoying. There is no need to have that annoying distraction going through the whole video.
