While the 90s animated series somewhat downplayed Jean’s abilities and powers, the truth is she has always been one of the strongest X-Men and mutants in the comics. She became even stronger when the mental blocks that Professor Xavier put in place were removed and the Phoenix Force merged with her.
She has become so skilled that she has grown to be more than just an omega-level telepath and telekinetic, uncovering even more powers and abilities within herself throughout her development. Today we’ll be taking a look at some of these abilities as we count down the Top 10 Super Powers You Didn't Know Jean Grey Had.

Some of my favorite Jean Grey moments: When Jean is resurrected by the Phoenix Force yet again; they finally TALK. Jean provides the Force with the best break up speech I've ever read. Another is in Xmen Red she utilizes empathy to "take down" Cassandra Nova. She has Cassandra feel (for the first time) all the suffering and all the joy that has been. Not to punish Nova, but to wake her up from her endless quest for mutant anniliation. Lastly, after she catches Emma in a psychic affair with Scott, she brings Emma back to life after she is killed by another mutant. She brings her back to life because Scott LOVES Emma. That takes the word empathy to a new level. She does this several times in the comics; making sure Emma and Scott are together. Amazing. Jean is empathy and love, in ACTION! Be well, all

Perhaps that is why I find myself returning to Jean; her compassion. With Jean love is not merely a word, it is her core driver. She is not perfect, she doesn't want to be. She is getting back with scott in recent comic.
I loved here in Here Comes Tomorrow when she became the White Phoenix of the Crown and disinfected the universe from Sublime.
Jean Grey used her powers in the Age of Apocalypse universe to bring Wolverine and the Uncanny X-Force team from there back to their universe. So being able to teleport people to different dimensions is in her tool box.
I knew that jean can control matter with her telekinesis but everybody think she can just move object!

Cosmic Five well when u say telekinesis people believe that it's only the ability to move objects, that's the lowest level and the basic of telekinesis...
If a user's telekinetic is on molecular level, then they can rearrange matter and energy on a molecular level. Transmutste objects, create black holes, enhance their psychical capabilities.
It's basically matter manipulation

Jean is such an underrated X-Men character people call her weak because of the 90s but if you read the comics she’s become much more powerful over time
Fun fact in the 60's she was described as having limitless psionic powers. Well before she became the Phoenix, it was during that time she mentally knocked out The Hulk and Juggernaut three latter of which compared her attack to Professor Xavier Xavier level!!

@@Phoenix2024-k1g I don't know about that, Jean is listed as an Omega level telepath and Emma Frost isn't. I believe in overall power Jean is stronger but because Xavier blocked that ability when she was younger and Emma Frost used hers longer maybe she isn't as skilled or creative with it as Emma.
C'mon, it's just funny, i like her, but she is actually like the Aquaman in Super Friends... and is funny as hell.
Like, she is actually more powerful than Superman, but they made he look like a comic realief, it still is funny, even if it isn't true...
@@Phoenix2024-k1g You clearly haven't heard about the time Jean mentally tortured Emma by forcing her to relive her most painful after she discovered Scott was mentally cheating on her with Emma.
Emma Frost is known for being an incredibly skilled telepathic combatant. She also has psychic shields to prevent people from accessing her mind. If Jean can do that to someone as powerful as Emma she may as well be a goddess.
The truth of the matter is, Jean Grey has been always an over powered Omega level Mutant, no wonder she was made underpowered by the writers in Xmen TV series in the 90's. Fainting was her legacy there, it was a total insult to the real Jean Grey.
When she as the phoenix force in her she is the dark phoenix and when she did not have it she is the phoenix

I like to think that she fainted because of the blocks Professor X, when she got too close to using her full power she fainted. But that’s just my head cannon.
She's over the top powerful without Phoenix she's a being of pure psionic energy.

She hasn’t done this too often but she was able to transfer her consciousness into Emma Frost once before being decimated by a sentinel
Excellent example of her power set. She did this with Psyloche on one occasion, too. Take care
baby Jesus yes, that was in the 70's but what's even more impressive is that she was able to use her telekinetic while she was in Emma's body. The villains were seeing Emma levitate and was shocked...
With Psylocke, they sort of exchanged powers in the 6th month gap when Chris Claremont returned to the X-Men in 2000.

The Young jean feat vs Galactus actually is Canon and was Jeans feat as a child. When they sent the young X-Men back to their timeline the current versions retained their memories and skills because they are indeed the young versions of the 616

Herman Johnson actually. Scarlet witch is resistant to the Phoenix force. I think they might adapt that to the mcu, because they need someone to stand up the the Phoenix force. Sooo

Technically yes, but I feel like that would require an extreme knowledge/understanding of DNA. And even then, it would be different for each person. Basically it would be impossible for a single person, but it’s comics so I guess it’s possible.

Yes she can but her morals stop her from upgrading,taking powers, and changing physical structures of mutatants.
I think they should make a story where others push her to use that power to remove an enemy's powers but she struggles with her morals... what is the right choice? 🤔

For example: Jean Grey. When she first became "The Phoenix" it was because of exposure to "Cosmic Rays". (The same type (drawn the same in comic) of cosmic rays that changed the Fantastic For and the UFoe's.) And then absolute power corrupted absolutely.

They forgot to mention Jean could put up forcefields, her forcefields were so powerful she could contain an exploding propane freight train for a few seconds. She also could use her telepathy to erase memories and she could also use her telekinesis to disable cyclops powers.

When Jean gave Cassandra empathy I thought that was by using the nanites Cassandra previously used to make a load of people hate mutants? Also, another power of hers, albeit with the Phoenix force, is teleportation.

Yup, it was but Jean has forced empathy on other people like Juggernaut and a group of kids who were torturing a dog (the kids not Juggernaut) and she made them feel exactly what the animal was feeling.

IMO the retcon Phoenix Force wasn't needed. It was supposed to be her originally. I'm also a fan that likes when the X-Men stay on Earth and deal with other mutants, MRD and Sentinels.
100% agree with her assessment that some retcons should be ignored.
I feel like if you are a comic fan you should know these things since she is one of the biggest comic characters. This is one reason i kinda hate the comic movies people think they are comic fans but never read a comic books 😑🙄

she can also transfer her and other people's consciousness into other people's body's, can astral project and is EXTREMELY powerful in the Astral Plane, and going along with her Syphoning she can use a combination of her empathic and telepathic abilities to absorb negative feelings memories and emotions as a way to ease her opponent as well as mentally suppress or overwhelm other mutants powers and abilities

Jean did display the ability to cause Dr. Corbo to see herself, Cyclops, Wolverine and Beast as the rest of the space station crew in the first part of the Phoenix Saga in X-Men The Animated Series.
Is no one gonna mention that in X-Men Evolution they actually did a good job with her abilities she beat Professor in the finale when his powers where advanced because he was a horseman her only assistance was Cerebro this is just my opinion though that Evolution did a good job with her (power wise)
I agree 100%. Evolution Jean also had great power development and showcases when she was weaker to being stronger. Wish that series could have continued.

Not the same powers, not the same origen, but like sups, she spent her whole life holding back, like sups, she is good hearted, and like sups, she is know for dying to save her loved one (more than once).
And Marvel doesn't seem what to do with HER, just like SUPS, well, actually DC is getting out of ideas for him, while Marvel simply don't let her shine...
Regarding the psychic siphoning, that was something originally brought up in X-Man where it was retconned that Madeline Pryor following around Nate Grey was an alternate earth Jean Grey
