I actually want to see more Omega Level feats from Jean Grey without the Phoenix Force. It was once said that the Phoenix entity did not grant her abilities she didn't have but pushed her natural abilities to their natural heights. I've always liked that theory. Great video Amanda! 👍🏾🙂
You might get it, but its the explanation that was offered makes that inconclusive. It would mean the Phoenix has never allowed Jean to use its power. Yet nothing displayed over the years demonstrates the Phoenix Force is only putting her power to use, even granting said power to five others even Wolverine. To express that it is only Jean's power in use the Phoenix power should have greatly differed at least in other users. The power display has been as separate and different as Butter to I can't believe its not butter.

In Black Panther, they can just go all out with it, but on a team book, where her and 10 other omegas are there, it just becomes challenging to write if they can't fight against godlike beings or global threats.

It is easy for someone with power to be worshipped by primitive people as a god. But just because someone is called a god by an isolated tribe somewhere doesn't mean they actually are one. For many years it was left ambiguous whether this was happening with Storm or whether she actually was a goddess. The recent series confirmed the latter.

Wouldn't that be the 2nd time Storm became a god? The first was when she was trapped in a statue-like state by Dr. Doom (or robot of Dr. Doom) and her power built up and up until she broke free. It took being reminded of Jean/Phoenix to "bring her back to earth," so to speak.
