Making her body heavier to lift and crush (70 tons) objects with ease. This also lets her simulate flight better and at greater speeds. Also, this video is highlighting Kitty's skills, which are impressive, and the fascets of her singular power, not showing her possessing different powers other than phasing.
Fair. But I honestly don't think she possesses 10 separate powers. Most superheroes don't tbh. Also yes, Ogun specifically, who is a part of the Yakuza but who specifically was the villain behind that story.

1- She was always able to talk while air walking. She only needed to hold her breath while she was moving though a solid object as it would displace air. While air walking, (unless she was moving though an object) there was plenty of air for her to access. It is odd how she air walks as its speculated that she can stand on air molecules though technically phase power works by allowing her change the vibration of her molecular cohesion allowing her to move her molecules through the space between molecules of other objects. So how does that allow her to stand on the molecules of air? One thing to support 'standing on air molecules' was that she was vulnerable to wind when air walking. Storm has used small gusts to blow Kitty around when air walking. But some events recently been shown that may dispute that. On a date with Iceman, Kitty used Planetary Dissocation travel to take them to the Midwest, where they saved a house from a tornado by phasing it. This suggests she is able to go out of phase to a degree that wind can't bother her anymore. Fun fact, using same ability for air walking, Kitty can walk on water too
Kitty is one of the few X-Men that Wolverine has complete respect for. In Astonishing X-Men #1, Kitty offers to meet Logan in the Danger Room to help him knock of the rust. Wolvie's reply; "Nah, you'd just go full ninja on me. My body can't take that kind of hurt."
Initially Kitty had to hold her breath while Phasing, but that stopped being an issue during following a story that disrupted her ability so she was constantly phased except when concentrating to be solid. As for her Ninja powers, it wasn't the Yakuza, but rather Wolverine's one time teacher Ogun, a ninja who had lived for centuries by basically 'imprinting' his mind and personality onto successive heirs, and picked Kitty as the next heir. The Kitty and Wolverine series explored how Kitty ultimately manages to learn to strengthen her own will and personality so that Ogun's implant couldn't gain control over her.
You can thank/blame Byrne & Clairmont for her air walking ability- I forgot how they tried to phrase it but it is something that she's rarely shown doing. Still, nice list Amanda...
She was telepathically taught Russian to speak with Ileana Peters sister. She was also telepathically taught the shair language. And possibly the skrul languages well.
Actually she seems to have gotten some measure of control over the electronic disruption in recent years as she's been shown to phase while riding a water ski (X-Women) or even phase a massive yacht (Marauders #5) and not blow out the electronics of those crafts.
I’m having a hard time getting through this list. 2 was some crap made up for a movie, 3 is just a part of the powers we know she has, and 4 is multilingual?...
I was 12 when I got really heavily into comic books. The first X-men comic I bought was #132 back in 1980 well into the Hellfire club storyline that transitioned into the Dark Phoenix Saga. So I missed her first appearance (although I did eventually get it as a back issue), but from the time of her first story with the team in 139 on through the low 200's when I got away from comics...I always had a particular fascination with the character. She appeared a couple of years before the New Mutants so she really was the only character in my age group and I will admit that she was my first comic book crush, which I suppose seems odd to some considering the presence of characters in comics like Scarlet Witch, or the Wasp, but, even at 12 I was something of a pragmatist and in my pubescent mind it seemed a reasonable thing. It seems silly now thinking about it, to be honest. But, back then...well...it was what it was. And I think I'll stop my nostalgic ramblings before I say something embarrassing.
One that's always forgotten is that she can see astral forms. This was revealed way back in the first half of the original New Mutants series when her and the New Mutants were under the control of Emma Frost at the Massachusetts Academy. When Magik used her spellcasting to send in an astral projection of herself, Kitty actually sees it. We also know that she can use Illyana's soulsword and armor.
In reading the uncanny X men in high school randomly, Kitty didn't learn the languages herself. Professor X kinda uploaded the languages to a few of the X-Men. I remember her thought bubbling this to explain how she was able to communicate with Colossus little sister in the comic. I thought it was a sort of unfair work around to get around the plot point that his sister cannot speak English so how wee they communicating but it's sper useful and I wish I had some way of getting a full language popped into my head. Lol. Just saying. Love the vids by the by.
Loved her on the 1st Xmen cartoon series Pride of The X-Men. Also in some earlier books in the 80s when her Logan, Storm and Cycolps were stranded in space...
The mention of space adventure in the 80s, Do you mean the story that introduced the Brood? That's the only one I can think of from the 80s that had the extended stay in outer space. Though it had the full team, not just the four= Cyclops, Storm, Kitty, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, & Colossus plus Carol Danvers and Lilandra. It was also the story arc that introduced Lockheed.
#10: That was funny considering that in her early days her thoughts would leak out when she was upset and Xavier would pick them up. Another incident from her early days; walking through the Danger Rom sessions 'with closed eyes' with absolutely nothing touching or harming her. The X-MEN and Xavier in the Observation Room were cracking up, especially Logan.
I forgot in my previous reply about a certain fact revealed in X-Treme X-Men vol 1. In #26 Lady Deathstrike & Striker had kidnapped her and was trying to create a brain-map to use to brainwash her. They kept failing. Deathstrike revealed her techs state that Kitty's molecules are so unstable that they believe that some elements of her psyche reside in different dimensions. I think this is what's so different now from when she was younger and when Xavier had no problem peeping into her brain. After all, it was after Xavier went into space with Lilandra & Starjammers that Morlock Massacre happened and Kitty was critically injured that lead to her unstable state and natural state of existence became intangible instead of tangible.

Im sad you didn't say anything about her dragon i like him alot.
Is there any hope that Roya Is Gonna be back for Atleast 1 video coz I miss ber
Amanda is beautiful.
Seconded
Indeed
MCU Black Widow has got nothing on Amanda 🤤
No, let's get crazy...
Black Widow is eye candy. Amanda is the candy itself 🍬🍭
All of theses comic book videos are interesting and fun.
To all the top 10 teams happy holidays
Would have picked having a pet dragon over lockpicking and language fluency
Always been a fan of Shadowcat
Kitty Pryde is in my 4th Favorite Marvel hero/character, & my Favorite X-Men character.
You forgot the time Ogun possessed her and made her an top tier marshal artist
Martial artist, Marshal is a rank given to a peace officer.
X-Men evolution's Shadowcat had the ability to make me laugh and smile but scare the mess outta Logan lol
PS- MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE 🎁🎁🎁🎄🎄🎄🎀🎀🎀
Please make a whole series of these!!!!
Kitty should have her own movie. Also watching her pull Iron Man out of his suit and then beat the crap out of him was great!
More more ! I just subscribed
Kitty is my girl. i'm still hoping for her to get back together with Quill, they were great together
Thank you times a million! She is my favorite xman!
Wow. Amanda almost blends in with the white background
Please make videos about these
Miraculous Ladybug & Chat Noir
Quantic Universe
My Hero Academia
Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba
Gravity Falls
Puella Magi Madoka Magica
I'm confused with number 6, what does being weightless in her phasing state have to do with her being less visible in the shadows
You guys made my Christmas with this one
So you’re not gonna mention her pet DRAGONNN
Awesome post Amanda and Merry Xmas
She's cool to hear about now❄️😎!
When I was younger I’d act like I could phase through walls too
I just KNEW i was gonna see some mention of her ability to synch with the earth, remaining at rest while the earth turns...thereby traversing vast distances instantaneously (see X-Treme X-Men)
In all the comics I read, Kitty only had to hold her breath when passing through solid objects because there was no air available inside the solid objects.
kitty has been my fave ever since
I liked Kitty with Spider-Man but I liked her most with Star Lord
209CALI* * nah Her and Iceman
Best comic series ever was Kitty Pryde/Wolverine when she was possessed by Ogun and took up the moniker Shadowcat.
You look too young to remember that one tho but it's an excellent read.
Merry Xmas.
I would like to see, the M.C.U. (KITTY PRYDE) of Earth-616 Realm, to have some of these abilities listed here, and shown in a number of the new movies.
if i rememebr correctly in excalibur they showed that kitty has the ability to use magicks powers/ armor & not be effected by them
Nice Time Stories reference!
Ooh wah ooh wah, cool cool Kitty!
Love that extra content she brings😂😄🙏
Top 10 most iconic female superheroes.
I second that.
Original She Hulk, Wonder Woman, Storm, and Powergirl are my picks for this list
I agree
Ororo and Thor Rogue. Zatanna.
I like Kitty Pryde, to me she was the best "youngster" of the X-men but I'm not the biggest fan of how she has been depicted in recent years
Yeah, I loved her during the Chris Clarmont/John Bryne tenure on the X-Men comics. (Even did fan fictions on her when I was in the apa)
The ability to make steel harder.
Ahhhhhh... I see what you did there... lol...
