Yea i like the slower pace i have no problems with the gameplay and like all the gameplay changes they made. Just fix all the other bullshit they introduced to the game and this is my fav game
@@moothie7314 i like that the dodging spam is gone (i used it a lot) but the character movement speed is a little bit to slow for my taste i mean in a brawler game reaction speed should be rewarded now it’s so slow that even the ones with low ones can react so everyone can win sounds good
But I don’t think for everyone that liked the speed of the beta it’s as enjoying as it was in the beta
I've gotten used to the slower pace but when you play Gizmo, Harley or any other really fast characters you can definitely notice it
They also got rid of the stats at the end of a match like why wtf was wrong with it? They got rid of a majority of the ui customizability from the beta for absolutely 0 reason got rid of mmr too.

The game can still be played without the stats or ui those are just QoL things which can always be tweaked changed added or removed from a game. We really complaining that the game doesn’t have perfect QoL at launch is hilarious

What I hate the most about Multiverses is that it punishes you just for a game crash! It's happened to me 4 time where the game crashed on PC during a match, and all of a sudden the game said I couldn't join a match - SOMETIMES FOR 3 HOURS! Like do they want me to play the game or not 😂

I LEGIT HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO ME YESTERDAY, it counted 30 losses for games I didn't even play and I crashed 4 times and eventually lost patience and took to customer service because this is just absurd
then get a PS5 or Xbox for gaming like a normal person instead of still these your crappy PCs.

I miss when the moves weren't so delayed and weird, sometimes I get an up attack when I pressed down. The hitboxes are really weird too, and it doesn't feel like attack delay is there anymore which leads to alot of spamming

Oh yeah and the pauses after hitting enemies are crazy long
apparently it's a 30 frame attack buffer which is wild
I don't think it's input delay, but rather there's a half second buffer window so if you pressed something else the game makes you do that action. They're letting us change this buffer in an update as it was left out on accident.
One more thing that REALLY should have been mentioned is how some people have half their locker missing. I played the alpha and beta and even spent a total of 200 on the game, just for half the items (ringouts, badges, emotes and skins) that I unlocked either by sweating a lot or paying for, were not there. THAT is fraud?

@@Zaire02 its crazy, like why am I sat here calculating what different skins cost to match up with my gleamium history to prove I had these skins? It is so sad when they aint even able to treat the players that SPENT MONEY, the right way.
This is why you have to be more cautious on spending money on mircotransactions in live services as if they ever shut down the server, the money you put in is gone. This happen when MGS4 had an online component and people bought i think it was the 20 dollar dlc just for the multi and they shut down near the end of the life of the ps3 and you did not get your 20 dollars back. I really think they should have just released the game at 40- 60 dollar and made other characters dlc but they wouldnt have made money from selling you over half the roster.
@@ss36gohan to be honest, if it shut down, I wouldn't have cared, however it hasn't and its fraud. I contacted the devs and they basically called me stupid soooo I am starting a small claim lawsuit out of principle and spite if it aint sorted in the next few days.

Absurd hit boxes is something not mentioned in this video but I noticed really early. Feels like somewhere around 75% of the total moves have hit boxes behind the character. Been really trying to play this game but it’s just so bad

My biggest gripe from going from Overwatch 1 to 2 is when they took a bunch of stuff out of the game for no reason and seeing the same thing happen to a totally different game makes me so mad cause literally so many changes make me ask why. Besides that the other thing I hate is how the perk system works now, taking away options from players is always a poor decision

A few of the things they took from overwatch in overwatch 2 were taken for some reason or other. Free loot boxes aren't really profitable when it's f2p and if they cost money it would be scummy and annoying (cough, Apex). Coins aren't hard to get anyways unlike in multi versus. The stat medals weren't really necessary in the first place, and was more of an excuse some people used when they were underperforming. I don't see any issues with current leaderboard showing everyone's general stats anyways. 2nd tank was removed because que times, no one wanted to play tank (and as a tank main, people still don't want to)

Before the update I could easily combo neutral air to side or up air on Iron Giant.
Now getting neutral air is a struggle in itself due to the issues listed here.

This video covered pretty much all my problems with this game. The devs HAVE to fix all of this quickly since a bad launch like this will pretty much destroy the game's future (which is honestly really disappointing because this game has so much potential, especially in the beta)

I also wanna say as a small nitpick regarding the rifts, you can't leave matches mid-fights or retry them right away if you lose or fail to meet one of the conditions to win whatever those XP points lead to.
I felt like I was nearly going insane having to go through a lengthy loading screen, holding down A to skip over text boxes, then go through another loading screen over and over again just to repeat a fight that might not even last long or I happen to fail a condition again, it's such a minute part but it makes repeating rift battles extremely annoying and tedious.

As an Xbox player, I lag a lot and my game is slow and I get kicked out of the match like every 10 matches. Also,sometimes when I start a game I start with damage taken for no reason.

Only thing irrelevant to me is the Mr. Smith early unlock event. Whether I do it or not, he will be available with fighter currency or tickets once he's out. I've only played through the first rift twice and have majority of my gems at lvl 3.

I think that Mr. Smith being impossible to unlock yet is reasonable considering he's not finished yet, but the requirement of beating 20 bosses with so many current limitations, let alone 30 to get the special costume, is really damn bad, especially considering how cheap the 2nd out of 5 difficulties is, literally handicapping you to do chip damage with all your attacks while the opponent hits like a truck with all theirs

Something else that's kinda shitty is that if you played the beta, only a select few people got to keep the progress they made on characters and levels. Idk if it has to do with what rank you were on that character in thr beta or if you shelled out money for one of the "founder's editions" of the beta, but if you played the game casually or just stopped because you wanted to wait until the full release, your characters were set back to level 1 and you lost whatever perks or load out you had unlocked in the beta

having played brawlhalla and seeing how BMG doesn’t gaf about the game anymore I wanted multiversus to actually provide everyone with a good experience since the last time wasn’t so great, but they somehow managed to be even worse. And now the game is somehow worse than brawlhalla so now there isn’t a single actual decent platformer to play on pc or consoles anymore

Change your thumbnail it had me thinking you were gonna trash talk this game just because but everything you say in this video is true, undeniable, and should be heard out by the devs.
I've noticed that you can only get fighter currency in the easy difficulty of Rifts mode, but you cannot earn any more in the higher difficulties.
People don't realize how important slowing things down is at higher levels of play. It used to be that everything was virtually unpunishable if you knew what you were doing, now there is much more weight to your decisions, the game still plays fast just not the entire match. I agree with most of the rest of what you said
I think slightly slowing it down would have been fine for higher level of play. Most of the issue with high level multiversus was airdodge in neutral and in combos. I think if they had introduced slightly slower speeds with this air dodge change i think it would do volumes for the game. Part of the joy of platform fighters is the movement and if it’s this slow it’s hard to play for a long period of time. That doesnt mean it needs wavedashing but especially in a cartoon heavy game it should feel good to move with your character rather than fighting the gravity of the game. Great point tho, most people def dont think about how unviable the competitive scene was before

So that was not at all the issue. The dodge exhaustion mechanic is fine, the parry is good and those fix the issue you are talking about… slowing everything down has nothing to do with that issue.. it just makes the game boring and sluggish.

the thing is a game with only "buying it" as a monetization isn't self suficient enough to stay. proven by overwatch 1 that made not so much money back in the day considering how popular it was, or splatoon games, that Nintendo are stopping updates for by two or three years in, even with little to no microtransactions
Completely depends to me on whether it pays for itself or not. Battle passes that I have to pay $10 for that don't give me any currency back to pay for the next one, and have mediocre stuff I wouldn't necessarily want anyway? Hell no. But, a battle pass that costs $10, has the same stuff, but also gives me enough (or MORE in the case of Fortnite) currency to buy the next one? Hell yes. It's basically a one-time fee of $10 for infinite content, with the only caveat that you actually keep coming back and playing the game, which gives you an incentive to keep playing, even if you would otherwise start to get bored. It's honestly genius, and I'm entirely on board with it.
The case for this game, it looks like you do get premium currency, but I can't tell if it's enough to pay for the next one. I counted 900 Gleamium, but I'm assuming a battle pass would cost 1000, but I'm not sure on that. If it's just shy, eh, it's still way better than battle passes that don't give you any, but I'd still be hesitant to buy it if it didn't have stuff I actually wanted.

Another feature that was removed from beta that I miss is the ability to stay in queue after a match with the teammate I had. If I liked a teammate, I'd often choose to keep them as my teammate and even added them as friends afterward. Now that feature is gone too, it's like one-and-done
Besides that the only thing that could be changed would be swapping characters during a game
I keep being continuously kicked from matches due to network errors. It isn't my internet because it works perfectly for everything else and I'm even on PC. Do we know if there's a fix for this?

@@kingd1486 The "complaints" are what let the devs know what to change. How would you feel if your players never gave feedback on your game, and left it in its rotting and horrible state. No one wants to play a "fully released" game that feels like its in open beta/early access. I sincerely want to like Multi but in the state its in now, I cannot say its good. I still play it because of the fun that comes with playing with friends, but other than that its horrible. Multiple desyncs, bugs, overly grindy agent smith events. If you like it thats fine but pls don't tell others to stop and it is far from perfect.
This covered a lot of things. One thing i want to add on it how they took out the Main Menu UI cursor. Like bro....what was wrong with that cursor? Is that really hard to program? Anything that they took out the ability for us to cancel charge attacks. Ugh

So... It sounds like they learned from Kill the Justice League. Namely, they learned how to do everything wrong.
Not to mention in the beta, training had a better character select menu, and you can use the alternate skins for all of the fighters, now you can only use the ones you own.

For some reason, 2v2 servers are horrendous (mainly when you're partied)
Some of the features you’re looking for, have been combined into groupings other menus. If you want to fight, bots set up a custom match.
After playing multiversus I’ve noticed a multitude of things.
1. Because if the slow pace, me personally I don’t mind it. However, it definitely punishes anyone who plays any sort of brawler. The amount of people I’ve encountered who just run, spam the up special, or any sort of cheesy combo that rewards mindless play rather than a strategic, and mindful play
2. Going off the Xbox servers you mentioned…holy hell. I’ve been disconnected probably over 50 times now? I don’t have a PC YET, and it’s just sad to see that somehow a beta was better off then it was now
3. I will say, the badges are still in the game, but the game bugs out and glitches every time you’d want to see the rewards you get.
4. I’m right here with you when I played the beta day 1, waited a year, and here playing it now. Somehow, someway, some characters just feel a lot more broken, or some just utterly pointless. Game has a major balancing issue
Sorry for this being so damn long, but I did have a deep passion for this game, and it feels SO MUCH worse. Frame drops, packet loss, loss of content, you name it. Being a console player is genuinely such a damn pain these days.
I don't know if you'll read this but 2 different bosses in the rift mode has soft lock glitches.
In Jason's fight sometimes the gem you need to break to damage him will never break, no matter how much damage it takes.
And in the Robot boss fight, if you use Jason and use his down special. THE BOSS GETS MOVED OFF SCREEN AND THE FIGHT BECOMES IMPOSSIBLE.
What if you bought characters in the beta?

When I play online with my friends we ALWAYS get kicked out of the game. Most of the time we don't even load in the arena. So the game is completely unplayable since the game is basically best enjoyed when playing duos. This makes me really sad cause I have the battlepass for free, because I played in the beta, and I want to progress in it but also I don't want to play this game...

I felt like something was off, I put 120 hours into the beta and coming back I was still used to the fast pace and no input delay, really throws me off and I don't have cosmetics I owned from the beta

As a xbox player i can confirm the game is basically unplayable even in pve by MYSELF. But i do think the game as potential and just needs time to fix these issues but most of them shouldnt have even been there from the start
I haven't had any issues on PC, The thing for me is the UI and the battle pass is very slow to tier up.
I really hate how you can only change your perk class if youre matchmaking
You can change what perks you wanna use in the menu, but to actually change it to that class, you have to matchmake
I started with 4 characters, they also added the option to remove the colour outlines
1:13 on the other hand in the beta, everyone and their mother was spamming dodge cancelled attacks making it nigh impossible to punish them anyway

The speed is better.
Before some characters were just insanely faster than other characters, there were no punishes. If shaggy wanted to circle the map just dodging you forever and you were like Gizmo, you couldn't do shit.
Now speed is tied to dodge cancelling.
It can still feel fast, but it takes some effort and resource management.
Everything else though totally agree on, what the fuck were they thinking?
I remembered watching videos of people who got exclusive codes to the game early, NONE of them said anything bad about the game's speed or internet connection, and they weren't allowed to show the shop either...
I think the players were unhappy without a reason, I loved the beta of this game. Now I'm hating the slow gameplay and bad servers

Didn't even notice that the game played slower than in the beta, and I played a ton of hours in the beta. Now that I notice it... I definitely prefer the slower gameplay.

I clicked on this video because i thought it would be someone crying about how that game isnt what they wanted and that makes it bad and i loves those videos, but you make some really good points in this. I dont agree with all of them, but i can still see where your coming from. One of my biggest issues with the game (which im surprised you didnt mention) was the fighter mastery. In the beta you unlock character specific items like emotes, skins, badges, etc., but in the full release there is (at least for me) very little incentive to level up characters because all that cool stuff has been moved to the store.
I play on pc and during the match my character does moves that I’m not even trying to do, like the character has a spaz attack
I haven't stop thinking since saw it on the Killer Instinct remake: locking characters behind paywalls (doesn't matter if premium or free currency) and forcing non paying players to play a couple of "rotating" ones in a fighting game is fucking stupid.

Yea the jabbing button change is annoying. But there is a way to avoid randomly dash attacking. If you double tap the stick and attack button you keep doing dash attacks without running. I don’t know if it helps but I tried. The lag can be butt and the glitches.
