serious question even though its gonna sound condescending... why put talent points into Phantasmal Pathogen and Auspicious Spirits when all they do is boost the starting damage stat of Shadowy Apparitions by percentages, and the starting damage stat is 0?
maybe this is a better way to try and explain what I'm trying to ask... I keep seeing everyone say to take Phantasmal Pathogen and Auspicious Spirits, my question is why? They both buff the starting damage stat of the passive talent of Shadowy Apparitions by 75%(rank 1), 150%(rank 2), and 15% respectively, (and the 4pc says "... increases the damage of Shadowy Apparitions conjured within the next 10 seconds by 80%) however the starting damage stat of Shadowy Apparitions is 0. 0+150%+15%+80%=0. there is no damage done by Shadowy Apparitions ever, let alone a gain to that damage. The only other reason to get Auspicious Spirits is that you have a chance to generate 1 Insanity. Unless it is a mistake by the developers, that seems like a lot of wasted talent points just for a chance to get 1 Insanity. again, I'm not trying to be condescending or disrespectful, I'm genuinely trying to find an answer. I've been away from the game for 12 years and just came back at the beginning of April, so I'm still trying to relearn everything.
Do you edit the player name in your PI macro with each dungeon? I have a generic focus target macro, but it has problems so I am looking for a better solution.
You should make a Mythic plus Spriest guide
Working on it!
@@skimmynz sweet!!
Can you upload the shadow ui link again?
I have an issue with the plater profile where the nameplates always overlap even with the stacking setting enabled any possible fix for that?
I had the same problem with that 1st profile, that's why I switched to using this new one. Not sure how to fix it :(
for your VE and PI macro. do you have it where it will use a trinket as well? like i want one button to use VE + PI + Spoils trink
Yeah that will perfectly. /use 13 /use 14 are your trinket slots. Saves you having to manually edit the macro if you switch trinkets.

If you play around the T30 4pc, Apparitions can sometimes do more damage than your Psychic Link

@@williamgartner1650 Tooltip is bugged in game. You can see at 00:15 it did 10% of my overall damage.
@@skimmynz Oh, OK! I see it now, I must have missed that when I watched the video. thank you for your help!!!

Yeah start of every dungeon I edit the name
I personally run a mouse over macro for PI and it's been atleast a tiny bit of an improvement QoL-wise.
@@jozeff3329 I run that too, handy to have both!
Wouldyou say mind spike build is for keys where the mobs die quicker?
Yeah the standard Mind Spike + Ancient madness build gives you more burst. Better for lower keys.
warlock or shadowpriest for the next upcomming patches ? (specific mythic + )
Shadow 😈
@@skimmynz started yesterday and iam in love! Huge dmg
are these talents your go-to build for general m+? Does it differ for Tyrannical week?
Copied this build from Norcom, currently Rank 2 in the world for Shadow. Wouldn't use this build in a key lower than a +18, mobs will die too quickly.
@@skimmynz Cheers, thanks for the reply!

This is the default build I'd suggest for lower keys
idiot of c’thun is really doing no damage , i’ve tried to sub it with the improved shadow word death and it does way more damage , have you tried it?
DP uptime is key among all the variants. you don't haev DP on a target, you're failing
@@robertgowdey have you tried the 12 sec DP talent ? is it more overall DP uptime even though it’s more insanity cost ?
@@michaelruth4896 I've been trying and it seems really good for me at least.
@@robertgowdey i used it last night and was consistently doing 300k on aoe pulls with cool downs and around 120k overall which i’m happy with
