Thanks so much! My daughter just bought her first car; a 1991 Honda civic SI with only 131k. She is going to help me detail it. I am trying to learn all I can. I love the creativity! Thanks again for sharing! Matt.
Scott coming in clutch with the pro tips yet again. I love your videos because you offer such practical solutions, not everything needs to be a huge OCD obsession.
Thanks Scott I was looking for a solution to cleaning my interior vents and every other person on here tried to sell me a pitch on how there product is better. You on the other hand kept it real 💯 and wasn't trying to break the bank. I definitely appreciate how informative you were at explaining your reason for using the foam brush.
I love using those sponge brushes. I thought i was the only one who used them for detailing :). I also use it to apply Solution Finish on certain trims. Good Video as always Scotty B
What a great idea ... I use these for crafts, dyeing yarn and all kinds of things. You can buy a bag of them for $ at Dollar Tree, not as sturdy as others but works great. Also I would like to add that I never spray anything in the car to avoid splatter overspray. I do it outside, takes only a second. Someone also told me that if you DO use any kind of petroleum based anything, keep all windows open until the fumes air out. This helps dissipate the product so it doesn't smear windows and also helps your lungs. As for me I try to use all water based.
I been playing with other brushs trying to find somthing I knew immediately you brought that brush out that it's a great idea somthing I feel like I should have thought of myself lol
I have been using these foam brushes for several years now for the outside trim on my cars, specifically the lower windshield cowl plastic and various small black plastics like mirrors or trim below the windows, etc. The cheapest, most effective applicator I have found for this task.
Excellent video as always Scott. For the tighter areas, give the smaller (individually wrapped) oral foam swabs a try. You can get a box of 250 for around $40 to $50. They are also great for applying dressings and ceramic coatings in tight areas.
What an EXCELLENT idea for those foam brushers Scott! Griot's Interior Detailer is fine for cleaning but if some of your readers are looking for a superb product that might be more readily available in their neighbourhoods, Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer cleaner can be found in many hardware stores and maybe even in some Walmarts (?) is absolutely fabulous and leaves not the SLIGHTEST trace of itself on your clear plastic instrument/media screens (I also use it on my Mac's computer screen) and adds a bit of protection as well. LOVE your tip about using ProtectAll for all interior stuff except fabric - been using 303 for that and tires but will definitely give ProtectAll a shot when I run out. Keep up the great work and vids! : )
Great advice just bought 2004 Volvo S80 needs a good clean just priced makeup brushes at Target. Your advice cheaper and better than other vids thanks.
I do have these in my arsenal. Practicing with these and have been testing with using different sizes that I put razor type slit's into the sponges to get better coverage throughout the vent. You have people that watch your videos then leave mean comments then watch the next episode. They are the people that get hit by there DA's
Scott, can you help. My car was detailed and they got some overspray on my speedometer glass. It was blurry and I tried to get it off and made it worse. It’s almost like an older cars headlamps where it has that film on it.
Hey Scott. First off, I can’t tell you enough how valuable your videos are. Simply Terrific!!! Having said that, I have an interesting challenge for you guy’s. I can’t, for the life of me, figure out how to clean the HUD on my C5 Corvette. There’s a smudge on the display projector and to no ones surprise it’s wide open to dust, over spray when cleaning the dash or the interior windshield. In addition, I’m told it’s pretty delicate. I can see the crap in there. But I can’t figure out how to reach it. Any thoughts on how to solve this? Many thanks!!!
I use pipe cleaners to clean the vents. If there's dirt between the buttons i use the opposite end (the eye end) of a small needle to lift the dirt out of the gap ...the usual place where you get dirt like that is on a multi function steering wheel , once its loose, use compressed air in a can to blow it away,
Trent Hallmark has she seen your long fingers..lol Nobody will understand this comment but I'm sure it will make you laugh. Get those big hands checked out, I'm concerned you may have a serious condition! Do they make a polisher big enough for you:) Much love my friend
Dear Scott also in my country...they are saying that enyone how is bolt in the head has a huge levels of testosterone!!!!!!!!!.........it is.......true????? Love you kind regards Athens Greece
Genius, I love it, I'm always looking to simplify my interior cleaning kit, these will be in it from now on. I was just curious if you ever use a steamer? I'm looking into a McCulloch MC1375 and I was interested in your thoughts. Thanks for the informative videos, I learn something every time.
Thanks Scott. Is there any appetite in making a video that outlines a basic outfit in terms of products - from exterior to interior for a weekend warrior that wants to work on their vehicle?
How do you clean the screen??? Same glass cleaner?? Or the same used to clean the tv screen? Im answering myself by the way..hahaha Well, I may say that you have an exceptional way to teach...congratulations!!
I know this doesn’t apply to this video but I would really like to see you use pinnacle XMT 360 or hear what you think of that product I would really appreciate it thank you very much your videos are awesome and your knowledge is fantastic.
Great suggestion Scott! I’ve seen these at the dollar store with 3 different sizes in a package. Still looking for the MF applicator pads you featured in a previous vid at the dollar store.
Scott, I'm looking for a permanent fix for the rubberized "soft touch" radio knobs on vehicle. Through the years, they've gotten sticky and gross. The knobs can't be removed without taking out the entire stereo apparatus. Do you have any pro tips for cleaning that sticky residue off the knobs? Thanks!
Hey Scott I watch all your videos! I’m new to detailing and beginning my business and I’ve been looking on line to see if I can leave my generator in my van through the summer. I live in a condo complex and a 100lb generator would be super tough to unload every night.. I could buy the smaller inverter generators but it’s pricey. Thx in advance for any help
Scott I have a question. On some older vehicles mainly VW and certain Fords the dashboard is tacky. When you try to clean it with a towel it just picks up lint. What's the best way to clean this? Best way I can describe the material is it's like a crayon textured almost kinda waxxy
As I watched - I had just tossed down some money for some serious detail brushes - and now? I wanna face-palm myself! In fact - I think I will! (SMACK!) Ouch! But hey - at least I can buy a couple of these foam ones as backups should I misplace or lose some brushes. Stuff happens. Great vid!
Thanks so much!

Thank you for valuable, helpful lesson.
How do you clean the screen??? Same glass cleaner?? Or the same used to clean the tv screen? Im answering myself by the way..hahaha
Well, I may say that you have an exceptional way to teach...congratulations!!
I use a small size "California Duster" to grab dust off of instruments and the dash top.
I know this doesn’t apply to this video but I would really like to see you use pinnacle XMT 360 or hear what you think of that product I would really appreciate it thank you very much your videos are awesome and your knowledge is fantastic.

Hey my friend Scott what about the screen how would you clean that as well?
Wondering what to use on the computer screen. Is glass cleaner ok?
Perfect ! Always great info
I’ve been doing that too! Lmao great to see other people use this too😂
Great advice! Subbed your channel. Cheers - Luther
Haha...I love that word "SLIT"...
Thanks for the great idea! Also, could one use the pledge on this area to prevent dust collection?? Thanks again!
i would be concerned with pledge in the vents because it has a lot of silicone within the product and dust could stick a little on plastic
Welcome back, bro!
He
Is
Back
Great video my friend!
Dear scott do you ever use those wet or dry interior detail brushes sets??
What a great tip!
Thanks for this idea

A PLUS AUTO DETAILING WE COME TO YOU sure just leave not much gas in it because lighting may hit it
