Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 сер 2017
- In this very special incognito walk through Comic-Con, Adam puts on one of the actual spacesuits from Alien: Covenant! This beautiful suit was made by FBFX, and is packed with incredible detail, digital displays, and lighting that makes it look believable on screen. Of course, we can't help but scrutinize every inch of this suit, from the soles of the boots to the inside of the helmet!

Hey adam
Im a huge fan and i love
What u do
U have been a role model for me
And ur youtube videos makes my day better and u have inspired me to never give up
And all i want to say is
Thank you for the
Entertainment
@Adam Savage Im so, SO happy to see someone mentioning Mobius in an Alien video... He was one of the best comicbook artists of all time (without any doubts), he worked in the desings for movies like Alien, Tron, the Fifth Element, Willow, the Abyss, or Time Masters... And yet, most people in north america don´t know who he is, somehow :S:S
At this point Adam doesn't even bother with cosplay, he just gets the real thing... Haha awesome!
if anything its cooler xD
Considering the promo for the movie at the end there was either no money exchanged, or Fox paid Tested if anything.
When I see people in costume, I assume they made it and deserve congratulation, this is sort of just saying I'm connected. I know he can build, and has the funds to build big, so sort of disappointing, hey I just borrowed this hero costume.
Just guessing here, but i think there is a good reason for the thousands of pictures he mentioned at the end...
He is going to build one. He just had the opportunity to walk the floor in the real one first. And honestly. I would have taken the opportunity if offered.
CessnaDriver2, this was the third incognito walk he did that week at comic con and the other two were his own built cosplay, this was Adam just living the dream really.
*sees woman crying for help, blood gushes onto window*
Adam: "Whoa! That was awesome!"
Props to that actress for not freaking out when she saw Adam Savage on the other side of the window, lol.
Just guessing here, but... Video screen, and pre-recorded?
Having the actor make the same "experience" over and over, all day, would get old and boring quite fast.
Mr B I know. But still
as someone who's done this, you learn what scares people most, and you have to store and acknowledge interesting things like friends, family, people you wish you could meet and enjoy them later. Just like anything else, it's a job. It gets boring.
@@SweMisterB doing it "over and over again" is literally their job lol
He needs to make a purposely bad cosplay to throw people off because they always look for the highest quality thing
hes already done that with his matrix cosplay xD
TylersTerrifyingADVENTURE didn't that have alton brown?
I feel like that would go against who he is as a person. It WOULD be really funny to imagine him just buying a cheap costume on Amazon and do a walk in that =P
That and leave Norm back at the office, massive giveaway him wandering around and close by taking photos :)
Not disagreeing, but when you have made so many GREAT costomes, it is almost impossible to make one that's bad, even if you try hard.
It's amazing how much care and detail they put into their costumes. It's a shame they didn't do the same with the script and story.
The costume's too elaborate (because it's the real deal), everyone immediately goes "It's too complex, it just has to be Adam."
Im just imaginging the response to 'how long did it take to make'
'Oh I dont know, I got it from the Convenant set'
Pretty sure by now any convention that he goes to that people see someone walking around in a super realistic (close to the original material as possible) over the top costume, they just start asking those few people if it's him :)
Cosplay idea, Adam Savage Incognito:
1. Go to Comic-Con in a costume you can't be identified in.
2. Have recordings of Adam saying things like; Sure, Yes, Yes I am.
3. Use recordings whenever someone asks for a photo. If they ask if you're Adam Savage use "Yes I am" recording.
that's kinda mean though.
genius, but mean all the same.
Best series on this channel?
Yes, yes it is.
Best channel on this UA-cam?
Yes, yes it is.
There are other UA-cams? Naming places ending with "Tube" doesn't count.
I guess UA-cam Red might count as a different UA-cam.
MrAntieMatter I kind of like the builds more :)
It'll be the best when he does the 9/11 episode Mythbusters would never let him do.
I love the fact that Adam instantly starts looking for a way to open the door to save the woman... lol
Murdoch Mckenzie
Yeah ...but when he sees her die he just laughs! Lol
he took a long time. wasnt instant at all. not faulting him, i wouldnt either.
I'm with Adam it was supposed to be a movie interaction. I would have went: ahhh! But then awesome! We laugh sometimes when confronted with disasters! Must be a coping mechanism.
We want an updated indepth tour of Adams cave!!
NYRangersfan63 i second that!
Pervert!
YES
There's already one from a little while back, check the play list of videos with adam
Reece Priddle bud, reading comprehension skills, you need some. Key word "updated."
But yes, that video was amazing, but so long ago. Which is why we want an updated one. So many things have been added to it and changed.
Adam's unbridled passion for the minutia of the design of this suit shows exactly why he is so very good at what he does.
lol you know something is up when you see someone in a super well made Alien Covenant costume.
Shao Zhang or in this case, the ACTUAL suit from the movie lol
the thing is no one saw the movie so every one thinks its just a space suit
john bryant A lot of people did, just not the people more into abominations like the new Star Wars films and crap like that. It’s not quite like the original alien or Aliens, it requires a little more thought.
@@Tsumami__ Yeah, I think it get hate because people don't really understand it. I don't find it nearly as good as the original Alien, as nothing lives up to that for me, but it was still a good, entertaining film, with great effects.
Of course those are Reeboks! Don't forget that in "Aliens" (the second movie) Ripley was wearing Reeboks when she strapped into the power loader. So obviously Reeboks are still a going concern in the Weyland-Yutani universe.
It would have been some interesting footage if that GoPro on the suit was functional and you filmed from it on your walk.
It was functional. They even used it/them in the movie for some shots. Adam didn't use it though here.
Does he not realize that people probably go around asking anyone with a detailed costume "are you Adam Savage"?
It should be every cosplayer's goal to be asked that
Random guy goes to comic con dressed as Adam savage
@@RustyC216 it would just be Jamie ua-cam.com/video/IUKy3483eA8/v-deo.html
theflinx if there was also someone following them with a camera maybe
Someone please for the love of god let him have a cameo in a alien movie
I loved the cameo Adam and Jamie did on CSI.
“Wow! That looks just like the real one!”
“That’s because it is.”
Adam's expression when that helmet gets clipped down is the best. It made me happy.
1:40 Ah!!! The Reebok branding I bet was a throwback to the Reebok velcro shoes that Ripley wore in Aliens.
Im still waiting for the self-drying jacket Marty McFly had in BTTF2. Best motorcycle jacket ever! Get caught in rain, pull the tab when the rain stops, keep on riding without having to deal with a rainsuit.
the reason you were spotted is because from the front of the suit your face was hidden, but when you turned to the side you can totally see your face through the helmet.
His notable take-back when he sees the Reebok logo is great
Ripley wore Reebok high tops in Aliens
@@clarkbarrett6274 hence the reason for the take-back, he's a huge sucker for authenticity
remember not to use your helmet so you can catch a disease at comicon
Jean Quad VanDamme two years ago it was a joke, now it’s real
This aged well
Lmaoo
wow, the color scheme of the helmet is beautiful.
thanks for showing the details; more videos like this, please!
Drink everytime Tested uploads something related to: Alien: Covenant
Rip my liver
Gallema Nyes I'm not sure Adam does work for movies anymore. A sponsorship pays the bills. Not complaining, though. Ridley Scott movies always have the coolest props.
Josh B. Nimble also UA-cam money
Ignore the movie, appreciate the artwork. That's the newest motto on the block. The age of great movies as passed as the big screen writers are churning in the ground, directors now "fill" that spot with "great" results.
Agreed. I was not wowed by the film, but I really appreciate all this work that went into the movie. This space suit, for example, is gorgeous. I actually prefer it over the 'Prometheus' suits.
If someone asks you if you're Adam Savage while wearing your costume it means you did epic job with it.
Adam, you'r a legend imo. The nerdy awe and energy you project, not only for the lore of the props, but also highlighting the details and effort put in to making them. It's a joy to watch :)
11:32 photo opportunity... denied. Adams a Badass spaceman
Serious Mass Effect vibes from the back of that helmet.
Seeing Adam nerd out makes these videos really enjoyable
You know you have a great job when it allows you to go "this is maybe one of the most comfortable spacesuits I've ever worn" and you are not actually an astronaut.
FBFX diffidently pays attention to detail which makes the movies feel more realistic without the need of crappy CGI. Great Job FBFX.
"crappy CGI", OK, I agree that the over use or misuse of CGI can ruin a scene, moment or movie, but this is the thing, the only CGI you notice, is the bad one, you'd be surprised by the amount of movies that use CGI but never noticed it, because the thing with good CGI, is that you never know about it.
The original Jurassic Park is a perfect example of well-integrated CGI. It HOLDS UP. You can watch it today and it still looks beautiful, because they allowed the practical effects to shine AND used CG while respecting the limitations. They balance it and so you have a movie where, to be honest, it brings back the five year old in me going, "THOSE ARE REAL!"
I love how excited Adam gets with the little parts of costumes/props like that buckle on the backpack.
Adam. You bring so much joy to people's lives. Thank you for taking time and doing these things to entertain.
Absolutely stunning! I cannot get enough @Tested ! Have been binge watching Adam's One Day Builds for a while now and have never felt more.... creative. It makes you want to go build and create just the most random and out there stuff.
Adam you have got to be one of the luckiest , talented men in cosplay. You are our King . All Hail King Savage.
King Savage has a nice ring to it.
That helmet is incredible. Holy shit.
Alien: Covenant was the one movie of the franchise that I could really relate to. It was marvelous to see that Adam was able to go to the show with a genuine piece of the film.
It always blows my mind just how much work, and what an application of such a different range of talents and disciplines gets put into these productions. This was so much fun to watch.
As a maker and someone that loves movies, bts etc etc. this makes me wanna cry. That costume is amazing. That helmet 🤤
Not a costume at all. It's the actual set piece from alien covenant as worn by the actors
Noticed his voice?! ... He must have been all over the place, screaming from the top of his lungs as they brought this thing into his room!
Imagine him running around like a little kid ... XD
LOL! The look on your face when he puts the helmet on you is priceless! Little Ronnie Howard Goes to The Moon!
Absolutely STUNNED by the amount of detail in this suit! Absolutely beautiful!
That green visor shape heavily resembles the Alien egg in the Alien poster.
I love watching Adam nerd out
These are my favorite Tested videos
I love the look of almost childlike glee as the helmet clicks into place - awesome
I don't really care about the movie itself but the suit looks amazing
So does the intractable 3d map that's way more advanced than the ones they use in the future...
and you had to say that cause?
Have you seen the Honest Trailers video about Covenant?- they did a brilliant job discussing the issues with the film. Visually stunning but entirely ridiculous on so many levels, kinda sums up Ridley Scott's approach to the franchise nower days rather sadly...
First part of the comment is unneccesary but meh
Last time i was this early Adam shook Jamie's hand after launching a rocket car.
As a relative of someone who worked on the Gemini Program, it always makes me happy when people "correctly" pronounce it "Jiminy" and I wouldn't have expected any less from Mr. Savage.
This is BY FAR the coolest Comic-Con walk I've seen on this channel. :0
Not hard to find Adam at a Con. Just look for the cosplayer with a dedicated filmcrew and Norm running around opening doors.
When Adam's voice is tired he starts to sound like Kiefer Sutherland.
Watching Adam happy and excited like a kid makes my day.
Thank you for all your videos
I wonder if people at Comic-Con wearing high detail outfits that conceal their faces get randomly asked if they're Adam.
lmao
Here's a summary of every incognito (which I love watching, but it is funny how similar they are). You can always count on 7 steps of an incognito:
1) This suit is awesome! Check out how it was built!
2) This is built to be light! I'm going to feel so much better than the last time I went incognito!
3) Put the costume on - none of them are simple enough to put it on without help.
4) Leave the hotel room and walk to the convention hall.
5) People glance, take pictures, and a few people say, "Are you Adam?"
6) Leave the convention hall and walk back.
7) Adam shows how sweaty he is because the suit isn't cool enough.
So, if that's the case with these costumes, we can imagine that actors go through the same kind of workout, you can just replace step 5 with the movie studio people taking pictures and video, and replace the convention hall with the movie set.
His walks are typically short tho. A shoot day can be many hours. Those actors wear those for a long time!
I've been waiting for this video!!!!!
The star struck girl has such a cute reaction to realising it's Adam :D
what about the Martian suit? are they still doing?
LOL! i thought the door says "Michael bay"
Awesome. Adam's enthusiasm makes these videos special.
i get so jelly of you adam. behind the scenes and getting to wear the outfits from a bunch of amazing movies
That helmet is so damn sexy
Peter O'Connell I need one for motorcycle use.
We're are the one day builds I love those
It was great seeing you there!!!
I did worldcon costumes throught the 80's and yes is can be brutal but what an experience. Glad to see you can still enjoy the moment.
It's a giveaway when they see Norm following you... :P
If only in the movie they would have used a suit on the surface of the planet...
Been waiting for this.
I love Adams passion for film and the things most people overlook. I know that's his background. But his passion is contagious.
Does he smiles when they take a picture?! I NEED AN ANSWER!!! xD
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
JoJo! I reject my humanity!!! Wrrrryyyyyyyyyyyy!
Look at how happy he is!!! OMG LOVE YOU!!!! THIS WAS AAAAMAAZZZING!!!!!!
Great inside tour video! Incredible effort into the design and crafting of the suits. Wish they have also done the same to the movie script.
Girl: Are you Adam Savage
Adam: yes
Girl: OMG!!
There were spacesuits in the movie?
I love it when Adam gets excited over things like this. He acts just like a little kid.
I love the Alien films up to this recent one Alien Covenant. And this video makes me happy :D thanks Tested
Didn't Ellen Ripley wear Reebok boots in Aliens? Maybe the Reebok emblem on the space suit boots is a little nod to that?
Sure, just a cultural reference. Nothing to do with sponsoring and product placement. ;-)
I don't recall ever seeing a closeup of the logo on the boots in the movie.
I wonder how many non-Adam’s are asked if they’re Adam?
Absolutely unbelievable!! Also, great Paul Smith socks Adam!!
I'm thinking next comic event I need to cosplay Adam Savage. Awesome stuff, thank you guys!
The tread pattern on those boots is identical to the military type boots Reebok makes. I'm wearing a pair now, and they kinda suck.
That was start to finish amazing!
Adam keep making people smile, you sure did brighten my day!
please do Gordon Freeman next Adam. that would be amazing.
If only the people writing the story spent 2% of the effort that the prop department did...
😂
of course you got made. You always have the most awesome cinema quality stuff.
Love Adam's incognito series at the Comicon.
Nice suit, could have been useful when landing on a strange unknown planet.
Even the Prometheus crew new that ( for a bit at least! )
Podjack the doc fot,,
The crooked backpack is triggering
Evan Snyder my thoughts too....
that helmet is so nice, the carbon black/bronce and green coloers looks amacing
Omg wow astonishing work I am lost for words
10:05 theres a reason why they only shot from the waist up...
Jk Love your work Adam!
It's almost as if it was made just for you
Adam being so excited about the sound the helmet makes when it clicks in is the best thing in the world
I don't know if you read your comment section or not Adam, but there's nothing I want more than to have a conversation with people like you and Michael Stevens in real life. You two are some of the most influential people in my life, me wanting to be a maker. I hope I run into you at one of these comic cons some time, you've been an inspiration since I was young, growing up on mythbusters. People like you make me want to make things, show the world how wonderful being a maker can be.
Only if they made the film as good as the props.
As always, Riddly goes out of his way for amazing props in his films. Would be nice is the writing was half as good was that though.
I love the glee on his face when he does these things.
I love the way Adam interacts with fans
