Hey adam Im a huge fan and i love What u do U have been a role model for me And ur youtube videos makes my day better and u have inspired me to never give up And all i want to say is Thank you for the Entertainment
@Adam Savage Im so, SO happy to see someone mentioning Mobius in an Alien video... He was one of the best comicbook artists of all time (without any doubts), he worked in the desings for movies like Alien, Tron, the Fifth Element, Willow, the Abyss, or Time Masters... And yet, most people in north america don´t know who he is, somehow :S:S
When I see people in costume, I assume they made it and deserve congratulation, this is sort of just saying I'm connected. I know he can build, and has the funds to build big, so sort of disappointing, hey I just borrowed this hero costume.
Just guessing here, but i think there is a good reason for the thousands of pictures he mentioned at the end... He is going to build one. He just had the opportunity to walk the floor in the real one first. And honestly. I would have taken the opportunity if offered.
CessnaDriver2, this was the third incognito walk he did that week at comic con and the other two were his own built cosplay, this was Adam just living the dream really.
Just guessing here, but... Video screen, and pre-recorded? Having the actor make the same "experience" over and over, all day, would get old and boring quite fast.
as someone who's done this, you learn what scares people most, and you have to store and acknowledge interesting things like friends, family, people you wish you could meet and enjoy them later. Just like anything else, it's a job. It gets boring.
I feel like that would go against who he is as a person. It WOULD be really funny to imagine him just buying a cheap costume on Amazon and do a walk in that =P
Cosplay idea, Adam Savage Incognito: 1. Go to Comic-Con in a costume you can't be identified in. 2. Have recordings of Adam saying things like; Sure, Yes, Yes I am. 3. Use recordings whenever someone asks for a photo. If they ask if you're Adam Savage use "Yes I am" recording.
Pretty sure by now any convention that he goes to that people see someone walking around in a super realistic (close to the original material as possible) over the top costume, they just start asking those few people if it's him :)
Reece Priddle bud, reading comprehension skills, you need some. Key word "updated." But yes, that video was amazing, but so long ago. Which is why we want an updated one. So many things have been added to it and changed.
I'm with Adam it was supposed to be a movie interaction. I would have went: ahhh! But then awesome! We laugh sometimes when confronted with disasters! Must be a coping mechanism.
Of course those are Reeboks! Don't forget that in "Aliens" (the second movie) Ripley was wearing Reeboks when she strapped into the power loader. So obviously Reeboks are still a going concern in the Weyland-Yutani universe. It would have been some interesting footage if that GoPro on the suit was functional and you filmed from it on your walk.
john bryant A lot of people did, just not the people more into abominations like the new Star Wars films and crap like that. It’s not quite like the original alien or Aliens, it requires a little more thought.
@@Tsumami__ Yeah, I think it get hate because people don't really understand it. I don't find it nearly as good as the original Alien, as nothing lives up to that for me, but it was still a good, entertaining film, with great effects.
Alien: Covenant was the one movie of the franchise that I could really relate to. It was marvelous to see that Adam was able to go to the show with a genuine piece of the film.
Adam, you'r a legend imo. The nerdy awe and energy you project, not only for the lore of the props, but also highlighting the details and effort put in to making them. It's a joy to watch :)
Have you seen the Honest Trailers video about Covenant?- they did a brilliant job discussing the issues with the film. Visually stunning but entirely ridiculous on so many levels, kinda sums up Ridley Scott's approach to the franchise nower days rather sadly...
"crappy CGI", OK, I agree that the over use or misuse of CGI can ruin a scene, moment or movie, but this is the thing, the only CGI you notice, is the bad one, you'd be surprised by the amount of movies that use CGI but never noticed it, because the thing with good CGI, is that you never know about it.
The original Jurassic Park is a perfect example of well-integrated CGI. It HOLDS UP. You can watch it today and it still looks beautiful, because they allowed the practical effects to shine AND used CG while respecting the limitations. They balance it and so you have a movie where, to be honest, it brings back the five year old in me going, "THOSE ARE REAL!"
the reason you were spotted is because from the front of the suit your face was hidden, but when you turned to the side you can totally see your face through the helmet.
You know you have a great job when it allows you to go "this is maybe one of the most comfortable spacesuits I've ever worn" and you are not actually an astronaut.
Im still waiting for the self-drying jacket Marty McFly had in BTTF2. Best motorcycle jacket ever! Get caught in rain, pull the tab when the rain stops, keep on riding without having to deal with a rainsuit.
Gallema Nyes I'm not sure Adam does work for movies anymore. A sponsorship pays the bills. Not complaining, though. Ridley Scott movies always have the coolest props.
Ignore the movie, appreciate the artwork. That's the newest motto on the block. The age of great movies as passed as the big screen writers are churning in the ground, directors now "fill" that spot with "great" results.
Agreed. I was not wowed by the film, but I really appreciate all this work that went into the movie. This space suit, for example, is gorgeous. I actually prefer it over the 'Prometheus' suits.
Here's a summary of every incognito (which I love watching, but it is funny how similar they are). You can always count on 7 steps of an incognito: 1) This suit is awesome! Check out how it was built! 2) This is built to be light! I'm going to feel so much better than the last time I went incognito! 3) Put the costume on - none of them are simple enough to put it on without help. 4) Leave the hotel room and walk to the convention hall. 5) People glance, take pictures, and a few people say, "Are you Adam?" 6) Leave the convention hall and walk back. 7) Adam shows how sweaty he is because the suit isn't cool enough. So, if that's the case with these costumes, we can imagine that actors go through the same kind of workout, you can just replace step 5 with the movie studio people taking pictures and video, and replace the convention hall with the movie set.
It always blows my mind just how much work, and what an application of such a different range of talents and disciplines gets put into these productions. This was so much fun to watch.
I don't know if you read your comment section or not Adam, but there's nothing I want more than to have a conversation with people like you and Michael Stevens in real life. You two are some of the most influential people in my life, me wanting to be a maker. I hope I run into you at one of these comic cons some time, you've been an inspiration since I was young, growing up on mythbusters. People like you make me want to make things, show the world how wonderful being a maker can be.
Ripley Scott is always about visual quality, The good thing is that even if one of his movies isn't very good, you know its still going to look amazing.
As a relative of someone who worked on the Gemini Program, it always makes me happy when people "correctly" pronounce it "Jiminy" and I wouldn't have expected any less from Mr. Savage.
Absolutely stunning! I cannot get enough @Tested ! Have been binge watching Adam's One Day Builds for a while now and have never felt more.... creative. It makes you want to go build and create just the most random and out there stuff.
Too cool adam has to be one of the most respected people on the planet you never hear anyone that dislikes him can you imagine working with him on a project

GoPro and Reebok, like shown in this video(which you definately did not watch) among a few other brands all payed to get productplacement deals in the movie
Thanks so much for the Adam's-eye view of this suit! The level of detail is indeed Rid-iculous. One thing I would have liked in this video or the one where Adam put on the hardsuit would've been some discussion on how they're avoiding breath condensation on the insides of the visors these days, something that was a big problem on "ALIEN". I don't think just a fan blowing in room air would be enough to keep it at bay. Special hydrophobic coatings, or...?

At this point Adam doesn't even bother with cosplay, he just gets the real thing... Haha awesome!
if anything its cooler xD
Considering the promo for the movie at the end there was either no money exchanged, or Fox paid Tested if anything.
When I see people in costume, I assume they made it and deserve congratulation, this is sort of just saying I'm connected. I know he can build, and has the funds to build big, so sort of disappointing, hey I just borrowed this hero costume.

Props to that actress for not freaking out when she saw Adam Savage on the other side of the window, lol.

TylersTerrifyingADVENTURE didn't that have alton brown?
I feel like that would go against who he is as a person. It WOULD be really funny to imagine him just buying a cheap costume on Amazon and do a walk in that =P
That and leave Norm back at the office, massive giveaway him wandering around and close by taking photos :)
Not disagreeing, but when you have made so many GREAT costomes, it is almost impossible to make one that's bad, even if you try hard.
It's amazing how much care and detail they put into their costumes. It's a shame they didn't do the same with the script and story.
Cosplay idea, Adam Savage Incognito:

2. Have recordings of Adam saying things like; Sure, Yes, Yes I am.
3. Use recordings whenever someone asks for a photo. If they ask if you're Adam Savage use "Yes I am" recording.
that's kinda mean though.
genius, but mean all the same.
The costume's too elaborate (because it's the real deal), everyone immediately goes "It's too complex, it just has to be Adam."
Im just imaginging the response to 'how long did it take to make'
'Oh I dont know, I got it from the Convenant set'
Pretty sure by now any convention that he goes to that people see someone walking around in a super realistic (close to the original material as possible) over the top costume, they just start asking those few people if it's him :)

Yes, yes it is.
Best channel on this UA-cam?
Yes, yes it is.
There are other UA-cams? Naming places ending with "Tube" doesn't count.
I guess UA-cam Red might count as a different UA-cam.
MrAntieMatter I kind of like the builds more :)
It'll be the best when he does the 9/11 episode Mythbusters would never let him do.
Adam's unbridled passion for the minutia of the design of this suit shows exactly why he is so very good at what he does.
We want an updated indepth tour of Adams cave!!

I loved the cameo Adam and Jamie did on CSI.

FBFX diffidently pays attention to detail which makes the movies feel more realistic without the need of crappy CGI. Great Job FBFX.

Not hard to find Adam at a Con. Just look for the cosplayer with a dedicated filmcrew and Norm running around opening doors.

That green visor shape heavily resembles the Alien egg in the Alien poster.
Absolutely STUNNED by the amount of detail in this suit! Absolutely beautiful!
