My heart is touched when I see him pulls out the tissue from his pocket and weakly wipe his nose. The man kept talking from young until his hands tremble, to "set man absolutely and unconditionally free".

truly. JK is in a league of his own. he had no dogmas to propagate, perhaps that's what people were looking for - another "new" set of dogmas to contradict the existing one and so they could take sides and feel intellectually superior. instead, he asked them over and over again - why do you NEED DOGMA? question everything you think you know. knowledge is actually very subjective. before earth was sphere, knowledge dictated earth was flat.
his passion to set man free from the prison man can't even (bear to) see. i love JK and all he did for us. it is because he was there that we are here now.

K is like The old man at the top of the mountain. People from all over the world make the dangerous climb just to ask the wise man their most burning and complex questions. After listening, K smiles and says “What a silly question. Why are you asking K? Why must you depend on another at all? Go back and find out for yourself. Only then will you have your answer.”
One's gotta raise their level of spiritual understanding SO high, in order to understand this extraordinary teaching of an extraordinary man!! What a great teacher - truly the Buddha of our time!

We may be afraid of the answer. We may know what we want and then becuse we may have to make a big change in our life we reject the solution. We are afraid.
To ask questions is to face the fears of what we do not want to see, even tho we must see it.

I have read Krishnamurti's books since I was 13 (16 years until now), but I've never understood him totally though I learned tons of things from him. Those lessons made my life better and more deeply.

Krishnamurti's words in this talk are very close to No-self and Mindfulness in Buddhism. We usually don't have mindfulness when chasing something but only by the momentum of tradition and shape.

2. Thoughts give birth to sensations
3. Sensations give birth to desires
4. Desires give birth to motives
To be without motives, we need to be attentive towards it. To be attentive towards motive, we need to be aware of our conditionings .
He didnt say not to have motives. He said understand motives. When you wake up in the morning and brush your teeth There is a motive that you need oral hygiene.

I thought only doing something had motive thats why i abandoned action, and avoided responsibility. Not doing it is also a motive, we all have motives conscious or subconscious, seeing the motive is the real deal. Burning it in awareness is the thing
Yeah seems to be the only way is just to be aware when you really look at it. Then maybe it is seen where and how motives arise.
If you see deeply we are nothing but motives driven by circumstances.

@Al Gonzales In Christianity, we're taught to follow the Spirit and not the flesh. Fasting is a method to teach our own soul (mind, will, emotions) to not automatically respond to our flesh...instead our mind is to give priority to the spirit (which is communicating and open to the Holy Spirit, God).
My Christian Bible college teacher teaches just what this wise man teaches. Motive (even desire as sin) is birthed first in the mind. Wisdom is wisdom across all religions.
Just observe everything. Inward and outward. Then see what happens.
@@betsybarnicle8016 the problem with them is no one can find those wisdoms, I mean assume that I believe in what you said and start the path of Christianity, the day I start it, I will find so many contradiction and stories and complex ideas and different sub religions and different form of Christianity in different cultures, different people everyone saying different things.
I will be lost in no time unless I know the truth before I enter them, which means entering them not necessary if I know the truth I know it, and if I don't then searching through billions of ideas in Christianity only confuse me more

No motives can be a fact. To play with words is not wanting to see beyond them. Living is fuelled by motives, to understand the structure and the formations of such motives creates the energy to go beyond them. If one see that ones life is mostly self centered, and really see it then something starts to change sponstaneously.
@@BoomerStories There really are no motives, there is only human behavior that was formed out of what we call the mind. All word that bare no meaning but to the one who in turn wants something in return hence a motive. There is no energy cause the YOU can not see or feel it without the knowledge that has been passed on through culture. Since the beginning of MAN, MAN has been trying to produce the ideal man and all has lead to more and more problems/issues. The fact there is a thought to try an understand a motive will create more issues which is a motive.
@@MikenNinginThai If you have no problem looking at words, motives will also be no problem. The issues are created by the mind only and its ilusions. Thought is the creator of words, and so the focal point. The mind is self sustained by the movmenet of thought and desire that shape human behavior in an interconected interplay. Motives are there...but i also see that there is action also without motive and that also creates and uses energy ;)
Double2Seven Yep all things are created by the mind and the mind has created culture and the words we are both using here. Anything created by the mind is destructive. Wanting, thinking, etc are all one in the same :)
@@MikenNinginThai I agree with you but i dont think all things created by the mind are destructive...like a hammer can be used to build and to kill. The action itself makes all the difference ;) The only problem with thinking lies on the fuel, desire and fear ;)

This teachings are very subtle, you can't simply say OK he say have no motive then I will have no motive to learn or do sth about life or other stuffs
No motivation simply means to be "Servant", a servant doesn't have a direction, everything the master say he will obey but the question is who is your master?
if you have no motive but you still have desires, you become servant to your desires ( some form of animalistic sensual life )
If you have no motives and you have feelings of lost life, you will be slave to your past ( what one call depression)
If you have no motives and you are in an abusive environment ( e.g a bad husband) then you become servant to e. g your husband
If you have no motives and you live in a religious society, you become slave to religion
If you have no motives and e.g you are 40yrs old you will be servant to your karma, I mean if you have 4 children, you still have to make money and feed them!
I think it probably only works when you have no motives and recognize all sorts of "master" and slavery mechanics in the world from material to spiritual and you ignore them and stop them from putting a chain on your neck and moves you around or else you will be a not motivated being with a chain on his neck, pushing around!!

sorry for the late answer. ego can be described as your self. the thing that u describe as yourself is the ego. unless an until u get rid of your self u cannot be motiveless which implies that motive is a product of your own self. so only a self realized being can be free of egoistic motive. this topic cannot be explained better than this because english is crippled language. learn sanskrit to understand better from vedas. namaskar n blessings from INDIA ..............

i can understand yur confusion. but sadly this concept cannot be understood by any measure of discussion or intellectual circus. there is no battle (both internal n external) which will yield the understanding of ego or I, as u say, as a result. the more early u understand this, the more closer u will be to your self. n ultimately u will understand that actually there is no difference between yourself n anybody else. all this what i say please dont believe rather try to realize it. but again to realize it u need the proper environment (both internal n external) which i will pray that u get soon.....

I've imagined this: What if I were able to live without needing to ever eat or drink? Just remove those two motives in life. Life would drastically change.
Life in heaven, where it's said that all our needs will be met (no need for food or shelter or conserving physical energy or health), what will be our desire or motive. A Christian is taught that our purpose and desire then is to worship God. God is love. Our existence will be for love...of God and fellow beings and other creatures. And we will learn, endless learning and wonder.
