    Oh wow! That will be absolutely perfect for a grandbaby! I can’t wait to see pics! I’ve wanted to make a blanket like this since the first time I saw the jumbo yarn. I have it in mint green. I hadn’t thought of using it for baby props. I’m expecting a brand new grandchild (#12!) any time now, and my first great-grandson in a month/6 weeks!

    This pattern is beautiful! I made 2 panels with different shades of white (one skein for each panel) using this pattern (4 rows of DC and 3 rows of SS) and stitch them together (wrong sides together), stuffed it with a pillow and closed it up. I absolutely love my new pillow! Thank you for this pattern!

    Has anyone successfully completed this pattern? I’m wondering why she only chains one at the end of each row. A turning chain for dc is 2 sometimes 3 chains. That could be why some commenters say their attempts are turning out slanted. They’re probably losing stitches at the ends.

    • @yolyrom7233
      @yolyrom7233 9 місяців тому +10

      Exactly what I was seeing. It appears to slant at the ends chaining just the one. I would ch 2.

    • @jonitouschner6040
      @jonitouschner6040 9 місяців тому +13

      Chain one then do your dc into the very first stitch, do not count the chain as a stitch.

      I am facing this exact issue. Both sides of the blanket are crooked. The DC row is too short and the SS row is too long. I love this pattern but the edges are not correct. Any suggestions from anyone?

      I’m almost done with this & all is fine with 1 chain. If more it will hang off edges. One thing for sure is count the 34/35 across. I didn’t & started to slant in one side. Pulled all out & started again. Love this blanket! Really warm.
