I like how this is crocheted rather than finger knitted. 😍😍😍
Does that hook and yarn make you feel like a little kid playing with adult stuff 😂
Yes!
😂😂😂my thoughts
Ha ha.
I love Bernat blanket yarn. It is such a nice soft and warm cozy yarn. Thank you for your tutorial. I’m not sure how my hands will like such large hooks but I will give it a try.
It’s amazing I m doing it with 25 mm mind u I feel the same way… bit uneasy at start and good at the end.. it’s just the practice I feel
Just made this blanket in a couple hours and used 10 Bernat Chunky Yarn Skiens to make it a perfect throw blanket!
Thank you for the tutorial, I followed every step to a T and it turned out beautiful :)
'How do plan to wash this huge blanket?
How much did you spend on all the yarn ?
@@angelatapia3813 just like regular just might need an extra “spin” in the washer, it collects a lot of water, dries fine!
Beautiful blanket Michelle!! 🧶💜 Love it!
Pictures with ur new granddaughter laying on it will be so so gorgeous…..great idea!!
Have a great evening!! 💜🧶
Oh wow! That will be absolutely perfect for a grandbaby! I can’t wait to see pics! I’ve wanted to make a blanket like this since the first time I saw the jumbo yarn. I have it in mint green. I hadn’t thought of using it for baby props. I’m expecting a brand new grandchild (#12!) any time now, and my first great-grandson in a month/6 weeks!
This is such a beautiful pattern! Thank you for sharing.
This pattern is beautiful! I made 2 panels with different shades of white (one skein for each panel) using this pattern (4 rows of DC and 3 rows of SS) and stitch them together (wrong sides together), stuffed it with a pillow and closed it up. I absolutely love my new pillow! Thank you for this pattern!
You are the best instructor thank you ❤
I was lucky enough to purchase the 20 mm jumbo hook from Furls when it was available but 😅 but that yarn looks so big that one could possibly even hand/finger crochet it. Beautiful blanket ❤thank you for sharing 😊
Omgosh, I had no idea Furl’s made jumbo crochet hooks!! It’s been a very long time since I’ve ordered anything from them. I couldn’t find the right hook size I needed on Amazon. Definitely going to my Furl’s account!
Love this blanket! I am finishing my third one! They are so beautiful and amazingly cozy. Thank you for the great video. 💗
Do you continue to do the rows with the slip stick then the double crochet or double crochet and slip stitch?
I m making one with 25 mm hook and I m already loving it think it need more than 7 balls of yarn 🧶
Thank you so much for this tutorial I’m so excited to make it for a bday gift 🫶🏻
Beautiful. I love the pattern. Thank you for sharing!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I made this blanket using pink and gray. I will be starting my next one soon using teal and gray
Wonderful!
I used chenille chunky yarn. I just completed the teal and gray. I would have been done last night but I was feeling confident so I altered it a little. Don't be afraid have fun with it.
It's sooo warm it was hard to give away.
Thank you again for your tutorial.
At what point did you add in the other colour? I want to do two colours too but I don’t know what will look good…
Ooooooh looks nice and squishy!!! 😍
This is great for learning how to crochet!
hi luv the idea but could u make a video of where u use just your hands instead of using The MASSIVE HOOK
Has anyone successfully completed this pattern? I’m wondering why she only chains one at the end of each row. A turning chain for dc is 2 sometimes 3 chains. That could be why some commenters say their attempts are turning out slanted. They’re probably losing stitches at the ends.
Exactly what I was seeing. It appears to slant at the ends chaining just the one. I would ch 2.
Chain one then do your dc into the very first stitch, do not count the chain as a stitch.
I am facing this exact issue. Both sides of the blanket are crooked. The DC row is too short and the SS row is too long. I love this pattern but the edges are not correct. Any suggestions from anyone?
Having the exact same issue! I chained 3 and it looks much better imo! Beautiful pattern!
I’m almost done with this & all is fine with 1 chain. If more it will hang off edges. One thing for sure is count the 34/35 across. I didn’t & started to slant in one side. Pulled all out & started again. Love this blanket! Really warm.
Don't pull too hard on the yarn when you knot it... you'll regret it... not that I'd know 👀😆
Great tutorial! Thank you!
I love the pattern thank you so much will be using it alot😊
Very beautiful ❤
OMG! I definitely want to make one of these! Love it ❤️❤️
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
So how many stitches to make a large and medium?
And how much yarn do you need for each one??
Do you have a slower Step by step tutorial? Trying to teach grandchild :)
I can't wait to try this!
Thanks for the video 👋👋👋
So pretty!!! Could this blanket be made with Premier Parfait XL? I have 12 balls to make a blanket for my sister and I love this pattern.
Love the pattern but not too sure about the yarn. I might try it with something less bulky.
I started this about 20 times today..not sure if my stitches are to tight..but the look sp bad😢😢😢. I'm pretty good at crotchet..but my looks so bad..not defined stitches like yours. Any tips? Looser tension???
Did you make progress? I’ve been working on this for a few weeks now. It’s looking better but the back looks so ugly and frumpy. And the right side of the blanket is like curling in and it’s like slanted idk how to explain lol
Cozy ❤
This is gorgeous!! How many balls of this yarn did you need for your blanket? Thank you so much!
i used 8
This is amazing! Can you change the color of the had throughout? Where would you suggest doing that if so?
I was hoping you'd show how to manage changing balls and securing all the 14 ends on this giant yarn, instead of just the stitches. That's the hardest part of working with this giant yarn, and the only thing holding me back from trying this yarn.
I did show at the end how to weave the tails and how I knot the yarn. I just did a regular knot with yarn this big.
I LOVE the crochet hook! It looks pearl but I have looked everywhere even the Furl website and can’t find it. Can you please give me the link for that exact one?
So I am looking at this tutorial and I’m I correct that it’s only the first row that you start in the 4th chain and the rest of blanket you go into each chain ? Ty
When you tie the knot to connect the first ball of yarn to the next, are you using a double knot?
Thank you I am making it now. I had to use a marker so I don't forget what the next stitch is lol. ❤
Can you use a 6wt yarn for this pattern. I really want to make but only have 6wt. If so what would the starting chain multiples be….
My question is so for only the first row do you go into the 4 th chain - ty
I just want to get a copy of the instructions. I don't want to download anything or install anything. Please help?
Exactly
This is so easy to do!
I have a 25mm hook can I use it or will the stitches be smaller?
I have 25 mm and following this tutorial the stitches do seem tight but the design is still very nice. But if you want a looser look definitely go for the 30mm because mine is still tight despite trying to create loose stitches.
What if I use Bernat Blanket Bulky weight of - 6 what how many would I chain? I'm a newbie and love working with Bernat blanket because it is easy .
MJ, How many do you chain for the med size that requires 7 balls?
Same question from me! I tried to look at the digital pattern as well but couldn’t find it!
She said in the beginning of the video that she did 34 chains, plus 1 turning chain. I think the blanket she’s making in the video is the medium size blanket. She said around 10:30 that there’s 1 smaller and 1 larger size
Mine looks so frumpy and ugly in the back 😭 any suggestions on how to fix or what I’m doing wrong?
Im wanting to make a blanket but im working on a budget. Can i make this blanket with 5 skiens of yarn?
how many skeins of blanket yarn was used for this blanket?
How many skeins of yarn are needed?
I would love one day if I ever can afford to do this blanket, it’s to expensive
Michaels recently had this yarn on clearance for $5.00. Keep checking around. Good luck! 🧶
@@mariepeterson2611 , wow that was cheap
@@mariepeterson2611 really may I ask what state .
I’m in Connecticut. I seen a few. Probably clearance they were trying to get rid of.
With yarn this big you don't need as many balls...
How many stitches will I use if I use a size 6 yarn I want a bigger blanket
“4th chain from the hook”, how often do we encounter this? After each turn of the work?
Did you ever figure this out? I’m confused watching the video.
@mjsoffthehook
Just first row
@evenlynstankowski Just the first row.
È stupenda 💗..quante catenelle fai e che numero è l'uncinetto grazie
I wonder is everyone's blanket really heavy??
Mine is! I think they’re normally like this. I just started crocheting a few months ago so I’m not 100% sure but I believe it’s supposed to be like that.
how many skeins did it take to finish?
How many chains should I do for a size large?
How much could you sell this blanket realistically?
How many balls of yarn did you use?
How many rolls did you use?
She said 7
I want to be a blog member
First time doing this idk whats wrong but my project keeps curling and idk what to do
I dont wanna give up but idk if i should just start over or find another pattern 😅😔
Where can I get the supplier
Anyone make this pattern with 25mm hook?
Ha! That’s what I’m reading the comments for too! About to make it with a 25mm and wondering if anyone else had!
Not this particular blanket but have used that size just recently. It’s very weird and kinda heavy to me. Lol
it just forms a ball
Can u use regular Bernet yarn like #6?
You would need a smaller hook and chain out the width you want.
50
Where is the crochet hook from?
It’s on the hook!! Furl’s!!
A Baby is chrushed with this blanket 😂😂😂
I said in the video “lay her down on” that I’m using this as a photo prop. I am not putting her under the blanket…
What size blanket did you make? I only have a 25 mm hook. Will I need extra yarn?
I could not find your pattern sizes. I would like to make a 40 square" How do I calculate how much yarn I will need? Beautiful! Have a great day, Renae
Only 3 rolls?
Yeah, between 6:30-7:00…..completely lost. Watched those 30 seconds about 20 times.
Double crochet into back loops
