Hi from S Africa. Hi from S Africa. Thank you for an easy blanket tutorial. I used a 10mm hook n 7 balls of chunky yarn with 61 ch to start. Easy n quick to make. 👍👍🌺🌺
Thank you, I just picked up a crochet hook after not touching one since I was 10 and my Grandmother tried to teach me. She passed 20 years ago and I'm expecting my first Granddaughter now. I would like to learn to crochet like my Grandmother did. I appreciate you taking it slow for us newbies and helping me learn. How long, on average, would a blanket like this take a beginner, please?
Thank you for all your tutorials, I can now do basic crochet and it all thanks to your easy to follow tutorials. I also like your calm voice and the speed of the videos
Thank you! Im a beginner, never done this stitch before or used chunky yarn. I’ve just started and finished this project in one evening. Perfect for my daughter due in March. ❤ Just one question, how would you block this?
Lovely! If I want to make this for a toddler which finished size would the blanket be ….and do you know how many stitches I would need to make? Thank you!
Thank you, Denise! 🥰 I put a border on most of my blankets; you can find these other tutorials here: ua-cam.com/play/PLFkGpOSO7LubU6zuUrAqVq3H1W0-U7BNl.html 💞
I made a blanket with this tutorial for a friend who’s had a baby. I’m wondering if there is a certain stitch count for this blanket? As id like to make s throw size ? Thanks
Hey Amanda! I am so glad that I found you here on UA-cam. I just finished making the pink baby blanket from your tutorial. I am a beginner and you are an excellent teacher. Thanks for the guidance. Much love ❤️ And this one is a beautiful blanket, I shall be making it soon.☺️
Hi Shreya, you're very welcome... I'm so pleased that you enjoyed making the pink waffle blanket! 😀 Enjoy making this latest pattern - it works up super fast! 💕
I love watching your videos. Your videos have helped me alot with my crocheting. It would be really nice if you have ever thought about making videos on how to make crochet moons and clouds. I have saw a few videos of other people doing it but they dont go step by step lile you do.
Beautiful blanket! I'm a beginner and about to have a go at making this. Can I ask what is the number set of foundation stiches that I would need to add, to incrementally increase the size of blanket?
Hi..I'm new to crochet and I'm practicing this blanket on regular twine,so hopefully I can get to the point where I can purchase the twine that you are using here. I'm struggling trying to find the back stitch on my regular twine..if you wouldn't mind letting me know how to find it please.🙏☮️
The front of each chain stitch will have two strands that look like a V. Turn it over and there will be one "bar" or "nub" strand on the back. That's what you work into. Hope that helps.
I love your tutorials. The blankets are so lovely. The step-by-step directions helps a lot, But. I do have one question Why would you use a yarn that says ( Do not tumble dry ) for a baby blanket? Blankets get things on them a lot with babies. If you have to lay them flat to dry every time you have to wash them. Well I know I would not be using it very often if ever. That is the first thing I check for. To make beautiful blankets that are easy for moms to care for. Thank you so much I'll keep following .
Thank you, Sandra! 🥰 Yes, that's an important point for some people. Please feel free to substitute this yarn with another brand of super chunky yarn more to your liking 💝
Such a great video! This is my first time but I seem to be missing something. Instead of the neat "bubble" looking knit you have, I am getting a mixed noodle look. I am making sure to hook over and the 1hdc in between each stich. Any tips?
Thank you so much, glad you're enjoying it! 😃 I think it may be to do with your tension. If it's not consistent it will greatly affect the appearance of your blanket. You might like to practise this stitch with a small sample of 8 stitches first. This will ensure that you get used to the stitch pattern, and yarn and hook that you're using 💞
Hi i wanted to ask if when using a super bulky yarn can i make the blanket bigger by adding more chains and will that make a difference in what i have to do later on or do i just do the same thing. for example if i want to double this do i need to do anything extra
Hello..your videos r much useful❤ and im a beginner. If i were to make this same pattern for sofa arm rest , what to do to make it curve done aft following this pattern so that is fit to sofa. Hoping for ur reply
What a simple way to create a lovely texture! I will definitely try that myself. Also wanted to let you know that the link to the yarn in your description box isn't working. Only part of it is clickable, the rest is plain text. Thank you for the tutorial!
Amanda, i just finished this blancket & Love it, but do you have a tutorial for your beautiful teddy bear? it would be great if you did one, can't find a good pattern (I know he's store bought) 😉 ⚘🍃

You can work through the chains as normal. Working through the back bumps just gives the edge a slightly different appearance 😊
My blanket seems to get longer each row. It’s starting to look like a piece of pizza.. any advice??
I’m sorry this comment made me laugh! 😅

Not beginner friendly. Sadly..
