Thanks , yes we had a fantastic time but got Covid right at the end and had to isolate. i’l. Do a video on that experience also. Interesting experience . On the upside is we got an extra 2 weeks stay.
Yes is was a bit of a shock when we left the air bridge to find so many staff and people clapping and waving hello to us. I think the arrival of tourists after Covid lock outs added to the excitement
Thanks, trip is going very well so far. Wonderful to be back in the Phuket area again. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Sad to see some business have not survived the lack of tourists due to Covid shut downs, but those that survived will see increase in business now
I think it will take a while for the volume to come back into the industry with the continued virus issues popping up. Once volume increases, demand will dictate new routes. However after doing the Sydney Phuket direct flight compared to Sydney, Bangkok Phuket , the direct flight just make sit much faster and easier. Melbourne Sydney Phuket would be faster than Melbourne Bangkok Phuket . Not sure how the cost compares.
@@cartridgeuniverse8112 i thought Sydney had more cases of the viris than Melbourne. Think Melbourne should be looked at though. Melbourne to Bali flight 1st time in 2 years departed today nearly full flight. think melbourne to Phuket is a little bit more expensive im sure
@@David-ww4ed I think they have all given up on the virus now. Not really reported and people are acting like it is all over. More people have died from Omicron than the other worse variants and it is spreading still, but people are not wearing masks or checking in any more. If you are old or vulnerable it is not a good spot to be in because the rest have moved on.
Service was excellent. I fly every year with Thai . Pre Covid, many times the crew were a bit older and stale, and a little rude because I was travelling with a Thai. Like the old 747,s they were good when new but needed retiring. The newer 777 and young crew were spot on . Great service, genuine smiles etc.
If you fly business class from Bangkok , Thai have a second to none dedicated check in at the airport. Beats any check in I have been to anywhere in the world. Real service and easy.
You will love the Thai business class check in in Bangkok and wish other Airlines did the same at their home bases. Let the driver know business class Thai and they will drop you at the left side of the airport terminal. Then it is straight in to a dedicated check in area will seating and it’s own passport control . Then the corridor leads to an escalator down directly into the lounge. Hardly any walking from when you leave the car. It is the way all airlines should do it.
@@globebug i totally agree with you. It seems that many senior crew have retired. Younger crew appear to be more genuinely enthusiastic about what they do. TG have retired all B747s as well as (sadly) A380s. Welcome to Phuket and enjoy your stay.
Have to agree, I've flown the 747 J between Sydney and Bangkok quite a few times, and J on the 777 domestically, it's so much more comfortable! The overnight flight between Bangkok and Sydney became a dread!
The airline that you fly on will have their own baggage policy , so you need to check with your airline . However Sydney airport like many airports now will have their own policy on the maximum weight per item they will allow baggage staff to lift. ( bad backs etc ) Sydney seems to change depending on the flight. Sometimes I am told they will not take a bag over 30kg and I am also told 25kg or 23kg s the max weight per bag / item
Thanks, we are having a fantastic time already. Weather is perfect, and I have taken lots of photos and video. Even started a tik tok account with some of the short videos. Tik tok account is called globebug. Lots of videos around the hotel and a temple.
Many were shut when we arrived. Tried to buy a cable at one when it just opened but they could not take a credit card or cash till later when another person arrived. Bit silly when they loose a sale like that.
Wecome to thailand from Thailand 🙏🇹🇭
Wow that was an awesome welcome 😊
Yes it was great , better in person, the video never picks up the real feel and. Vibe
A fantastic vdo. Hope you enjoyed your stay.

What an amazing entrance in Phuket airport

Yes I agree , Chang Mai, Krabi, Sukhothai are all great places to visit and many things to see in Bangkok
Nice video . Shame no flights between Melbourne and Thailand yet

Can’t wait 😜, I’m booking on January 😜
Right now is perfect. Not too many tourists and everything very clean and fresh
What was the service like on Thai? Flying them in April to Bangkok.

@@globebug Thanks for the info. I'll be flying buisness class, normally I fly Singapore Airlines but got a great deal with Thai.

How many ROP miles do you need one way?

Those clunky purple seats, memories...🤣
Hi I have a trip to plan from india to Sydney. But information about bagage is nowhere mentioned. Could some let me me know what size is allowable

I am glad to see many shops remain open at the airport. MEL is half dead

Joining this flight to Sandbox Phuket 🙏🏻hopefully no hurdles.🤔
