I have the best idea for the Kwan character. A grunt shoots Kwan with a needler, she explodes. This would be the best writing so far for her character.
Perfect, you're hired 👏👏👏
In season 1 I would had her inspired by chief to become a marine or even ODST. Now, I want the arbiter to stab her in the back. 😂
Would actually be cool to see what a single needle does to regular human and then you see Chief tanking that shit no problem
Nah do her like Kat, needle rifle right as she running from cover 💀💀
They should hire you to write the show hahahaha should have happened season 1 episode 1
Imagine watching LOTR ROTK the battle of Minas Tirith then throughout the battle it cuts to Bag End only to show you some hobbit having issues at the DMV...this is how I feel about the Kwan storyline
And 15 minutes of the episode consist of the Hobbit struggling to gather documents that the DMV needs.
at least its worldbuilding. what is the burecracy among hobbits like?
Would actually be kinda hilarious lol
I swear that this sounds like a South Park joke 🤣
Basically the hobbit trilogy. 😂
Halo: Kwonbat Evolved
Giggled at this
Yes lol Kwon at Devolved
That's kinda funny 😅🤷🏽 I laughed harder than I actually should cuz the whole storyline with her it's totally Kwonshit
Halo:Kwonbat Evolved
Master Cheeks Edition
I cackled.
Kwan's kill count is higher than Master Chief this season.
I've a sneaking suspicion this may not be the case by the end of next episode
This still pisses me off. We could have gotten something amazing!! The egos in Hollywood ruins everything.
It’s not “egos” they know they’re making crap because they are forcing messages and ideas to the audience. There is so much talent on this earth, you really think Hollywood is that dumb to not hire talent on purpose? It’s obvious there’s an agenda in play and there’s a buddy buddy group behind closed doors
We still can keep pushing them to give us what we want you can tell they had to dial back on alot of the garbage
Cute that you have some boogeyman here in just... "Hollywood" oooohhhh
@@asherlyle Nope. The show is already done for. They absolutely ruined it. The only way forward is to reboot and recast everyone but this time correctly....... the silver universe is stupid.
@@vidmasterK1 It is hollywood though..... not a boogeyman. You keep on consuming slop.
Joe it's pretty clear what’s going to happen. Somehow Kwan ends up in the Pillar of Autumn, when they arrive in the Halo ring she is going to be in the escape pod with the chief. She will
survive and, in the ring, will have a mini training with Jhon to get some Mandalorian vibes and that’s how she turns out to be a “badass' . Then at some point Guilty Spark is going to scan her and figure out that she is the center of everything so now the UNSC, Covenant and The Flood want her for something.
The Flood won't assimilate her, she has perfected the toxic stench of being a girlboss abomination, it would infect & destroy them.
The Prometheans though, they might worship her as a goddess, and we can't have that, can we...
Unfortunately, you're probably not too far off 😪
I hope Kwan gets Kat’s role during Reach
😮💨
To any writers reading this. He’s joking. Don’t do this 😬
Likely not. She will probably display the arc from a more civilian side. That's it. Even if she does meet up with Chief on Autumn, ehh.. won't be a good dynamic with chief imho. So they will separate sooner or later idk.
At this point we all collectively gather here for our shared hatred for Kwan.
hahaha yeah, pretty much
I have a question that no one seems to have brought up...where is Sgt Johnson!!!!
I know right ? They clearly don't know what the ladies like
Exactly lol.
The whole time I thought Keyes was Sgt Johnson just cause he looks the part for it. The casting is a little weird
@@dbzy_cjk that would have made more sense.
I'd rather they not have Johnson when the writers can't or refuse to write characters properly.
Now I can only imagine capt kirk yelling: KWAAAAANN!
the entire premise of masterchiefs team is that they grew up and went through hell together so they never betray eachother no matter what so idk how far away from the feeling of halo they can take this :(
Exactly. Even the banter in earlier episodes between the 2 teams was absurd. They are ride and die homies, all of them. Grew up and trained together. ALL of them respect one another from what I've read.
@@jonny-b4954 honestly think that the new directors and writers, execs dont have any moral values when it comes to these core themes as it seems they themselves are swapped out on each episode...
@@jonny-b4954I mean competition was very much enforced amongst Spartans that banter was the one that
Makes sense
the banter would have been more like siblings fighting than competing teams.@@jonny-b4954
This is a different universe. These guys had no emotions, now they do. They are making mistakes because they are new at emotions. OG Halo doesn't have booty pallets as far as i know.
Anytime it's not on Chief it's boring AF 😬
Master Cheeks is bad too
It's boring when Jimmy Rings is on screen too
exactly. Show should be all in on Chief. Hats down to an actor to carry the show like in Mandalorian. What they should have down with Witcher show as well. But they always go sideways to boring stuff & forget about the main char.
The show should STRICTLY be chief, other Spartans and covenant. That would cost money though
Alex is calling the Halo baby prediction from half court
Imagine 10 years ago you are hearing your favorite game finally comes to the live screen and its a joke
after all this madness with big franchises I am thankfully numb. Otherwise I would be torn to pieces.
Halo has already been on the big screen, the forward unto dawn movie exists
And if they didn’t live long enough to see it, they were better off dead.
@sourballs1248 the landfall is what we needed that felt like a great firefight with the budget. Even the trailer is better than the halo show
Yeah imagine going back to 2007 with the heights of the halo 3 craze where it was everywhere including the news and knowing a shitty show like this woukd be made instead of a big budget movie and that is not even canon from the games just shows you how far halo has fallen since bungie left and halo is pretty much a dead franchise now
At this point somehow Kwan is more lethal at CQC than a literal Spartan.
Ha ha she will probs become a spartan to replace Rizz and V lol and become Mistress chief lol
@@LongHairedYetiCave the part where she was sitting and clanking the metal pipe to show off it was her super ninja skills that took out the thugs was one of the crigiest things I've ever had the misfortune of witnessing.
She'll probably kill a spartan💀
@@RS-kt6bo I agree and the shows losing me mate tbh ,i am getting bored it needs to pick up
Did you, uh, completely miss the first 15 minutes of this show and John man handling two full grown men unarmored in this one?
Halo Forward unto Dawn still the best halo film to date!
I enjoyed that one. It would be interesting if they have a tie in to that show
LOL, just.... no.
The correct way to fix the Kwan arc immediately after season 1 would be to have her enlist in the UNSC Navy who overlook her past because they need everyone they can get and we see her as a cadet going through training in season 2 and then she's a junior officer on a UNSC ship fighting the covenant next season. Also the Covenant should have blown up The Rubble already so we don't have to watch that subplot anymore.
Yeah, just make her a soldier, so we can see the war against the covenant from 2 point of view, one from Master Chief who can murder multiple Elite with a shotgun. But when it cuts to Kwan we get the more grounded, normal human point of view where simple grunts could be a life or death situation lol
I hope for joes sake they don’t change the name of the pillar of autumn to some shit like “the column of spring” or something
Haha or the "support of Winter"
hahahaha “you got the pillar of autumn?” “we got the pole of summer”
Megaflote of christmas
😂😂😂
"Checkout this malnourished horse"
That's cool this is better than Season 1 but that season set the bar SO LOW that this still isn't much of an achievement. This still feels like Halo on a surface level only.
Exactly
Good point. Not only was the bar extremely low, but season 1 ruins the entire series because it's unwatchable.
Yeah, because Halo would suck as a TV show if you did a straight adaptation of the games or books. You need to watch the show for what it is.
@OkByeNw No thanks. Forward Unto Dawn and the one made by a fan are miles better and didn't do an exact scene-for-scene shoot of the games. It can be done but this show's writers either don't care or aren't talented enough. This isn't Halo.
This episode was decent. But like you said, it’s still a 5/10. Maybe if next episode is awesome I’ll revise it to a 6/10
The book "the fall of reach" would have been the perfect movie. they literally didn't have to deviate from that. It does a better job explaining the spartan program, it develops captain keys in an awesome way. you get spartans and space battles and even some pirate stuff. My fear is that no executive is going to green light a show or movie that basically covers the same era even if this is "the silver time line"
Yesss! I was just about to comment this. Whyyyyy did they have to crap all over this.
My ideal Halo show would have closely followed the books and games with some fleshing out in key areas.
Season 1: The Fall of Reach
Season 2: The Flood
Season 3: First Strike
Season 4: Halo 2
Season 5: Ghosts of Onyx
Season 6&7: Halo 3
Realistically something like that would probably be way too expensive but it’s the show I personally would love to have seen.
I would pay a subscription and keep if a faithful adaption of Contact Harvest would be made, followed by The Fall of Reach.
They did the same as the Star Wars EU, they don't want to pay the authors the rights/royalties
That's such a great book. The 'Keyes maneuver' is one of my favourite moments in fiction.
Kwan got that problem the flash show had with Iris. They didn't know what to do with her, so they make her a speedster, cop, or a super reporter. Kwan might be worse because while they rightfully ended the vague magical Madrigal mission she had in season one, they really didn't know what to do with her in season 2.
Honestly I'm hoping they are planning her death, likely sacrificing herself to give some credence to her character because I don’t see the reason on keeping her in the show.
I feel like they just sent Cobalt to die for the audience to know that the Covenant can kill Spartans. So when John and his team go it's all suspenseful. They could have done that any other way and it would have been better.
Seems like we’re in a bit of a “Kwan-dry” with the direction of this season.
I’ll see myself out…
You know… this show wouldn’t be half as bad if, instead of John 117, the main character was B312 Noble Six.
This show is hard to swallow because it does injustice to Master Chief.
But replace him with Noble Six… all of the sudden things makes a bit more sense.
Save Chief till will get to the Pillar of Autumn
Bro can cook.
It would still be ass, Halsey sucks, and having full on nudity sex scenes sucks...
Oh so this false master chief is noble six? Even if they did I feel like these people would still mess it up somehow.
This actually works out because if you are the average Halo player like me (meaning you played all the games but read none of the books) we know nothing about Nobel 6.
So it wouldn’t be out of Nobel 6’s character to cut out his emotion pill, have sex with a covenant leader, or go looking for reminisce of his past.
Nobel 6 is a blank character that, surprisingly, everyone loves
The morons running this show will somehow manage to fuck up Noble Six as well.
All of that wasted suspense with visegrad relay… why not have silver find cobalt dead with plasma burns?! These writers should live in a fing tent
For drama and to set up onus plan which I think is some version of Operation red flag from the book fall of reach
Did anyone noticed that Kuan was like... a ninja this episod?
i say let her handle the invasion on her own. She's like MJ from spiderman 2 insomniac
That’s what I was thinking. When did she become such a badass? They didn’t show it, but implied that she killed at least 10 guys saving that woman
Implied killing them 1 by 1 and then 2 together at most near the airlock. Basic harley quin i have a bat and no so superpower stuff.
@@kyl5369 with a 6 inch pocket knife to boot! LOL!
Its lazy writing having her kill a bunch of dudes off screen. The most worthless character I have ever seen in a TV show
The whole not telling anyone about the coming war on reach makes absolutely no sense. Why not plan a defense [and] evacuate people?
They explained that. It's going to be a lost fight and they don't want to spread panic. Would make sense to evacuate all Spartans though, especially Chief, so yeah it's a bit dumb.
@@burddog0792 yeah I heard that, but it still makes no sense. At least give them the ability to “go down swinging”. I know, it’s fiction and all, but as both a student of military history and having served in the military in combat arms myself, when is that ever a battle strategy - to concede a battle (especially one that you have a little time to plan for) beforehand. Even if your plan is to plus up your defenses to give your key assets more to to withdraw, that’s a strategy, it’s called a tactical withdrawal. I say again, it makes no sense. You even said it in your last sentence, give your assets more time or allow them to withdraw. They will be needed later, as that one guy says. And why sacrifice a spartan team? Idiotic.
Ackerman said as much hes's had cortana do simulations, reach is lost . They need to take a hit so they get approval to make hallsys new army. An army that can be controlled. John is expendable and a liability with no chip to control his urge to sing opera. John will do some figjting next episode and rescue the doc and toaster arm guy and get rescued himself by kwans ship.
@@burddog0792thats a cliche reason for hollywood to save money of budget, but in Halo Universe Reach is the most important planet after Earth, no way the give it without fighting
The Covenant are already on Reach. The moment the UNSC makes it obvious they know that, the Covenant fleet is gonna appear and that's game over. They know they can't defend the planet, once the Covenant knows where a planet is... Its the whole reason the Cole Protocol exists.
So use the time the Covenant have given you to evacuate as many high value assets as possible in secret, FleetCOM, R&D projects, Spartans and so on, send some of the fleet on 'missions' so they are safe when the Covenant turn up, all while moving those assets you can't get off world into positions to make it as bloody as possible when the Covenant reveal themselves.
Basically save what you can whilst you have the chance, and then prepare to give the Covies a bloody nose with what you can't. Makes perfect sense to me. Especially as an ONI plan, considering the last hope of the UNSC in the lore before Halo was discovered was an ONI plan where they were literally going to sacrifice Reach anyway to try and implement a last ditch plan to bring the Covenant to the negotiating table 🤷♂️
Of course, whether the writers of the show are actually going to effectively do all that is debatable. I think so to some extent, considering Ackerson does seem to say 'We are going to fight, but the battle is lost so we are going to use this time to save as much as possible rather than just lose everything'... but who knows if they are going to effectively follow up on the 'Bloody nose part'.
I feel like the creators of the show only watched the redvsblue videos and then was like "yup, we know Halo"
I feel like a everything was setup for a Mass Effect show, but instead of starting from scratch, they just changed a few names and called it a Halo show.
In defense of the whole 'no spartan bodies being recovered' thing, that is a constant throughout the real Halo universe. The motto 'Spartans Never Die' isn't about their actual mortality. It has to do with the perception that they are truly immortal, so they are always registered as MIA, never KIA.
Yeah but there’s also the fact that Spartan bodies should be irrecoverable. They have a self-destruct protocol built into their armor that will overload their onboard reactor if they’re rendered helpless or KIA.
@@Omega4Productions only if someone tries to tamper with there armor they don't just explode when they die
@@kennyburkamp4054 It’s explicitly stated in Halo Oblivion that if the Spartan is incapacitated or if their life signs flatline, the armor is set to overload the reactor.
You know what they're gonna do with Kwan 😏..."Kwan, will you step forward to join the new Spartan IV program?"
They ticked so many boxes with one character; gay, black, albino, disabled. Like damn, save some for the rest
Hahaha. I was thinking that too. 5 check boxes right there. Well if current day tv logic plays then we won't see some of that latter this season.

Apparently one of the upcoming episodes is titled "Onyx", so there actually is a little hope they could stick Kwan in the Dyson Sphere and we'll finally be done with her.

You know my friend would jokingly tell me that Kwan Ha was going to become a spartan. I don't want to believe him but with the introduction of Ackerson's character, I fear this may be a possibility. In the books Ackerson is the one who starts the Spartan 3 program. Spartan 3's are war orphans, Kwan Ha is a war orphan 😐
Well fuck. 😐
The humans being the bad guys in almost every episode is just so bad. Doesn't feel like Halo
I need Khwan to say “ you messed with the Khwan one.”
Maybe cause the show was green lit for season 2 pre season 1 airing. The Actors have a contract or something that said they were obligated to be in at least 2 seasons of this show. Thats why Kwan and Makee are still here though Miranda has been MIA for 3 episodes for season 2. But again I am speculating
Miranda has been in the episodes.
@@ryandann9362 I'm talking season 2 not 1
Plus it just looks bad for them scrapping a show after first season even if it's sub par.
It's like when you hire someone at a job, you have a vested interest in them doing well. Bc if they're shit, it reflects poorly on you and your decision making ability.
So I'm not surprised there's a season 2 but I think its the make it or break it season.
I actually like Miranda and the actor that played captain Keyes, I just wished they'd given them better roles and not forced ESG, every time i look at keyes it's a glaring reminder that the glorious sgt johnson is no where to be seen ☹️
@@cecollins68 Thts what I was thinking instead of race swapped Keyes he could have played Sgt Johnson He even looks like a gruff Marine NCO
I just want chief to be the stoic hero that sets him apart from other action protagonists. The UNSC was not morally good in the lore but they were very competent, the show makes the audience feel the whole chain of command is summed up to the decision making of a few stupid people like the level of incompetence shown by the human characters in this show makes me wish the covenant would wipe the floor with the UNSC. If they stopped arguing between each other, maybe something would get done?

The insurrection storyline is supposed to be the red herring catalyst for the covenant invasion like it was in other Halo media like Forward Unto Dawn and even the start of Halo Reach, it should serve its purpose for the first few episodes and Kwan, being the survivor of an early covenant attack should be the one to spread the word and perhaps mediate some sort of ceasefire or truce between the insurrectionists and the UNSC.

The story is so ridiculous. So they know the covenant is on reach. They make john into a paranoid traitor cause he knows they are coming yet they try to gaslight him instead of sending him to fight? In the book ONI and the Navy put up the hell of a fight above Reach and it was some of the most epic thing I’ve ever read. Now this new approach to save budget is to simply let Reach get glassed? Maybe bait the covenant into a trap? Idk there’s a lot to not like this season but I’m enjoying it a lot more than last season
Visegrad Relay station is where it really blew up in Halo Reach that the Covenant had infiltrated Reach. Calling this episode Visegrad while giving us 0 Humans VS Coventant action has to be one of the poorest examples in decision making ever.
I don't understand how anyone could find anything redeeming or enjoyable in the last 3 episodes.
Not sure why anyone thinks this show has a chance in hell at redemption. It frankly isn’t very different from season 1 and the story is a complete mess. Hopefully this doesn’t get greenlit for a third season. That money could be spent on something actually worthwhile.
Why is it Angry Joe interacts with OJ whenever he's talking - but when Alex talks - he's like doing anything but engaging with Alex. He's like staring at his monitor most of the time. That's some rude shit if you ask me. Alex should call him out on it if he has any sense of self worth.
Might be how they are sat position wise or that Angry Joe knows that Alex is going to explain something which gives him time to check the monitor? But yeah it does look odd.

>EP 4; the covenant establish a portal on Reach that leads to the HALO. Master Chief jumps through the portal before Reach explodes and the planet is completely destroyed using the covenant death star laser that exists on every covenant destroyer. So Master Chief is floating through space and lands on the covenant destroyer that single-handedly destroyed Reach.
Chief makes it on board and discovers Makee. There is a covenant bedroom scene with him and makee making lil babies (but she is a bird and gives birth to eggs).
Chief is angry that his babies are eggs, and decides to talk to Perez about the communication part of episode 1 (to bring together all episodes).
6:30 is why I don’t feel bad for everyone talking shit about the show. They had a chance and blew it
Calling it now that the fall of reach will just be a news bulletin
Watch the trailers.
@@hoos3014 I watched the first 5 seconds of one and immediately turned it off when they showed Master Cheeks face
@@alexakaa.charlesross8919 Cool story. What's the purpose of speculating if you're completely uninformed about how the story is going? The attack on Reach began at the end of Episode 3, so your prediction is already wrong. What's the point?
It's literally the rest of the season.
@@hoos3014 Chill, it's a joke.
Look, I stopped watching 4 episodes into season 1, and unless someone tells me it’s amazing, I’m not watching more. They literally had the entire story they needed to tell handed to them in the form of multiple novels and video games, and instead of making that story they did they own thing with a focus characters that don’t appear in the Halo universe anywhere else.
How should the fall of reach play out? Focus on Noble Team, and you can have Chief be a member of Noble team (instead of the player character), and the team can follow the story of Reach with Chief being the only one to escape on the Pillar as the rest of Noble dies along the way. Then, season 2 can focus on Chief, Cortana, Johnson, and Keyes as the main characters and the original Halo. Then, the Battle for Earth is season 3… but… nope! Nope… it’s ridiculous. Forward Unto Dawn remains the best Halo live action and it had less than 1/10th the budget.
My boi in the black shirt was so right at around the 12th minute mark. The UNSC and humanity as a whole have colonized a vast number of planets. Each one with its level of importance, but Reach's status is only 2nd to Earth's. It is the single most important planet besides Earth in the Halo canon and the human colony amassing the mightiest military strength the UNSC could muster. They're not doing it justice.
I like how it’s becoming darker. Reach has millions of people who made it their home and instead of covenant arriving with a massive armada, they say a final prayer of death and the onslaught begins in their righteous resolve about their belief in the sacred rings.
ackerson actually wants to get rid of almost all the spartan II(especially john). Like he said to halsey, they're broken. But they will be the stepping stone to something greater(the spartan III). He wants the unsc to think of the spartan II as a failed project to have his spartan III idea approved. And what better way to do that than to have its poster child the master chief seen as defective. Ackerson does not like the chief and considers him a hinderance. he even tried to have him assassinated in the books. he doesn't feel like any of the spartan IIs are necessary to win the war. So when you guys ask why did he sacrifice cobalt team and sideline silver team. It's because he wants them gone. All of this is pretty much in line with his books counterpart.
Sure but the Spartan III’s already exist so what is he trying to get approved
@@Mustang-wt1se what do you mean? when did they say the spartan III exist in the show already?
Alex literally just brings the Joes’ to Reality and it’s hilarious 😂😂
Sometimes but not this time
I have no idea since when you have been using it but I love the title intro where it says "Angry Joe Show streaming review". Would you guys also be open to having chapters on your vids so it feels more structured.
I bet Kwan is somehow going to be one of the next Spartan 3. Especially since she randomly became a killer vs how she was a noob last season
When 80% of the show is a direct middle finger to the fans, it doesn’t matter how amazing that 20% is
all we will think about is how you screwed us out of something that could’ve been amazing!
FK Paramount for this BS!
Focus Groups: It is meant for journalists as well as the NFL dads and their teenage sons
Most of us like season 2, but keep being mad I guess
Boring boring. Talk talk talk. No action no good writing.
Once again this is not Halo.
Every episode so far has been bad.
This episode gets a 3 out of 10.
Very disappointing
25:54 Riz isn’t looking for a life outside being a Spartan, it’s the opposite. She told Ackerson Spartans aren’t good being grounded, and when training was canceled she didn’t know what to do with herself so she went to visit her only friend
Essentially they’re setting her up as Ackerson’s ally I believe…she said “put me in coach”, essentially
Ackerson seems like a Joker character, want to see Reach BURN, I wouldn't be surprised if he is in league with the covenant, knowing what the writers are capable of.
He's not quite that lol he just has a fundamentally different ideology than Halsey so he doesn't mind seeing her and her Spartans burn so he can do things his way.
I predict...
Powerful and independent HALO WhamMen.
Huh?
@@xSupajesusX
Simple answer. They got nothing critical to say, so the OP just says something anti-sjw. It's like I teleported back into the 2010s again. 😂
@@xSupajesusX I believe they will not change direction from season 1 by any significant means. Time will tell.
Ironically none of the women in the show are like that. Just Kwan. All the other women are actually interesting nuanced characters.
@@setlik3gaming80 that sure would be 'imbarising' if you were wrong 😂
