"Let's not enter the pool, and drive away"
Roll credits.
lol I would actually do the exact same thing.
Exactly! 😂 when I first saw the trailer my first reaction was “well, just don’t go into the pool, problem solved” 😂
@@Philosophical24 lol indeed
😂 said the same thing
@@TheDrewBlaze1 indeed
Saw it last night in a packed theater. During that “is he alright?” scene, my entire theater laughed out loud by how unintentionally hilarious it was. No joke, everyone chuckled.
I did as well and I think this was a communal experience across all theatres 😂
@@oliverm9876 that’s fuckin hilarious.
I love it when the movie is bad, and I don't have to watch it, and then I listen to the storytelling bit at the spoilers section by you guys :D
Even better is that it’s based on a short film that is free on UA-cam, so you can just watch that instead.
Maybe you should have original thoughts and not base what you watch or don't watch from movie reviewers 🤷♂️
If it interests me, sure.
Not caring enough to have original thoughts on a random movie that doesn't interest me is also an option.
I love putting the Spoilers video when i go to sleep 😂
@@joelmayberry6771Stop trying to act high and mighty that you wasted 20 bucks to confirm that this movie was indeed trash when this guy intelligently confirmed it for free. You sound silly, we don't need to see it ourselves to know its quality.
"Fuck you it's January!" continues to not disappoint
ENDLESS TRASHHHHHHHHHHHH
Blumhouse quality is bipolar as hell. You either get good movies or absolute garbage fire movies.😑
@@KeeperProtector but they do put out quality content cough *five nights at Freddy's*
@@Spiralreddthat movie was pretty wack.
@@Dimimash it was better than I was expecting. Yeah there was some missed opportunities but I felt it was pretty solid
I have the exact same irrational fear as OJ. After I saw Jaws as a kid I refused to go swimming for quite a while. Jaws in the deep end of the pool still crosses my mind even today as an adult.
Same.
Same.
28:08 that's got to be the closest to Alex laughing I've ever seen. gg OJ lol
Fart jokes are universal comedy gold.
Bro your not wrong thank you for the comment made it me look and wait for the moment
The only time I think I've ever seen Alex actually laugh out load was in one of their Cyberpunk gameplay videos. There was a clothing bug they stumbled upon that made Other Joe's character's dick fully visible over his pants lol
i remember alex also smirks so wildly when aj & oj did hilarious hijinks in their saints row reboot stream. that horrendous 'reboot' of saints row series was so hilariously buggy at launch, ajs was having great (and horrible) time playing it.
@@kukuhimanputraraharja8084 it’s one my favorite games they played because how bad it was
This movie reminded of one of the episodes from Are you afraid of the dark. A boy disappeared from the school pool and they closed the pool afterwards. Some time passed and one of the students find a door blocked and it turned out it was towards the inside pool. The school decides to re open the pool, but then the boy and his crush discovers a creature has been living under the pool. Apparently there used to be a cementary, but they didn't pull out all of corpses so thats why the pool was haunted. They kill off the creature and thats how it ends. But yeah this movie reminds me a lot that episode. You're better off watching the Are you afraid of the dark episode instead of watching this movie. By the way the name of the episode is called Dead Man's Float.
*Leonardo Dicaprio Whistle and point.*
Yes, I've seen that episode about two years ago for the first time. It actually creeped me out a few times. I still have to watch the rest of the series. Good stuff.
@@jeuvideoiihizq yes. There are a lot of good episodes from Are you afraid of the dark. That one was one of favorite shows growing up. 😊
There was one with a lady in the library that freaked me out as a kid I remember she had some kind of disco light book
@@BC-hr9jd yes! I think its called the Silent Library. 🤫
Pools? Jaws made me scared to close my eyes in a cold shower I’m with you joe
Wave pools! As a kid I used to be terrified (which also made it fun) of going over to the grate, where there’s nothing but darkness behind it, and whatever massive sea monster that makes the waves, lives. And one day, I just knew the tentacles of the creature were gonna reach through the grates and pull me back into there. As an adult, I understand how ridiculous it is, but as a kid it’s our imaginations that make pools and the empty blue or pitch black scary. I totally understand Joe on that!
I still have that feeling as an adult.
This reminded me when I was a kid after watching Stranger Things I couldnt stand in a bathroom without lights on, I was thinking that a Demogorgon is gonna appear from the walls. To this day I never watched/played a horror movie/videogame with headphones at night
im glad Alex mentioned the pool episode in Are You Afraid of the Dark, that shit traumatized me and i wouldnt go near any pools at night 😢
I loved that Are You Afraid of The Dark “pool monster” episode Alex mentions. That episode always scared the piss out of me when I was younger. It’s one of a few Are You Afraid of The Dark episodes that have always stuck with me.
Edit: Just noticed there’s an ad for this movie right now below the comments on my UA-cam and it gave me a good laugh.
Just a small thank you for the years of entertainment!
15:30 That blood curling screaming was a Mountain lion mating call.
OJ don't be ashamed! Jaws really messed me up too! But the movie that scared me of pools was Alligator (1980), the scene where a little boy is pushed into the pool at night and the giant alligator is in it waiting for him - terrified me to this day!
Alex nailed it. I recall that episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark of a haunted pool at a school. I remember it being the only episode that was actually good in my opinion.
Ah dead man's float.. i agree
In my country, we have a TV channel, called BTV Cinema. Every Saturday night they have a program, called Cinema X, where they broadcast a random horror movie, so some day they're gonna broadcast that movie on TV.
Night Swimming is such a great REM song. Not sure if it has anything to do with this film.
OJ being scared of the pool sounds about right LOL. hang in there bro, same thing with heights for me
This should definitely be another Oj bad movie review
I thought it was cause I never heard of this one
@@Autobotmatt428It’s being advertised quite a bit. It’s not some no name indie movie.
Joe should write a movie about his Colorado trip.
The Are you Afraid of the Dark episode made me fucking terrified of swimming in my pool alone for like 6 years of my life. That shit was traumatizing.
I’ve seen so many ads for this, like they pushed this so hard. I don’t know why like I get they want to make a profit but if they knew it was mediocre then why did I see an ad for it every 5 minutes for the past 4 weeks? Honestly I thought it was gonna be about the pool leading to an alternate evil dimension
$15 MILLION dollars to make this movie. $15 million to film some producers pool for an hour and a half. To put that in perspective Godzilla Minus One cost $15 million. This has to be a money laundering scheme.
Im excited for your top 10 lists! Thanks for the content!
Couldn’t agree more with oj about the sharks
Sharks are saltwater fish. The idea they'd be in a freshwater pool is utterly ridiculous. Not that freshwater fish would fare much better with the chlorine levels being toxic and all
@@Wildeheart79shut up
I too also love watching AJ Movie reviews about a movie I never was going to watch anyways because it gives a whole hour or so of content to just listen to in the background
You know why pools at night scsres me Joe? That goddamn Episode from "Are you Afraid of the Dark."
Dead Man's Float.
I can’t wait for them to review Mean Girls 2 next week😂😂
You guys are fucking hilarious. OJ you’re the funniest. Thanks for the great stuff!
OJ is just like me fr. Had that same fear when I was a kid.
Same
you mean you’re just like OJ bc he’s older than you
@@kmphempassuming you know the guys age lol
Two OJ Films back to back?
I'm with you Joe. I used to have nightmares about pools and Jaws too!
Same fear especially if youre alone as a kid in your backyard swimming pool. Waiting to be pilled under or see a mouth open underwater. Or a fin to pop up and then be like i gotta hop over the edge. Theres no hope then you stand up in 3ft of water. You're 35 at your parents house panting can't believe I almost died.
Lol I used to think of Jaws in the pool lol.
Don’t worry OJ. I’m scared of sharks in the pool too. 🦈
It's funny that you guys are talking about this movie AND Lights Out! I say that because I had a moment where I was very scared in a pool, at night, by myself. My best friend was house sitting his aunt's house, which had a really nice pool area in the back and he asked if I wanted to hangout with him while he was there, so we had a sleepover. We watched Lights Out at the movie theater then decided to go for a swim once we got back and it was already dark out. We were expecting guests as well because we were gonna have a party. While I was in the middle of the pool, my friend left to go answer the door before I could even tell him to wait for me, so I was left all alone in this lit pool, and I was too scared to get out and go inside because it was surrounded by darkness. I just stayed in the middle of the pool for several minutes paranoid as hell and cursing my friend for leaving me lmao. He finally came back with friends and I told him what happened lol, but I was so relieved when they showed up.
What OJ was saying about Jaws and The pool,is exactly what everyone at least once thought and scared themselves, thinking aquatic horror in the pool and scaring yourself shitless
Time to wait 2 months for joes top & most anticipated list
I don’t understand why it takes him so long. I keep my stuff logged so it’s super easy
@ 36:10, The coin is significant because of the whole "wishing well" theme. Where you make a wish and throw a coin in the water.
I have the same shark in the pool fear that came from being in a jacuzzi in the dark when I was a boy and felt like something kept touching my legs. It was the jets of course.
That indian burial ground joke from Alex was so out of left field, I almost spilled my coffee all over myself lol
If the evil pool can sense your wishes, wouldnt it know you wished to stop drowning and forever be stuck in a loop of wishes?
Holy shit i had that same fear of pools as a kid and it was totally because i saw Jaws. I always thought "but what if there is a shark in there". Glad i wasn't the only one
That's why i like horror movies about folklore. Things will make you think how does that work what are it's capabilities. It's also scary to see a wendigo then some pool ghost...
Damn OJ Bad Movie reviews back-to-back!
Joe as a fellow Joe, I was also afraid of pools because of Jaws as a child.
We're starting this year off pretty rough as usual 😂😂.
I'm curious as to how you guys would react to The Outwaters. It's absolutely a niche film even in the found footage genre, and suffers quite a bit from having a micro-budget.
But I've also never seen a movie so accurately capture that true unknown terror of cosmic horror quite like Outwaters does.
It's like watching the unraveling of the human mind, body, and soul in the face of some indomitable and unknowable Lovecraftian presence.
Lmao "thats stupid who is gonna be afraid of pools?" 🤣🤣🤣
This seems inspired by Poltergeist. Thr classic moving into a new house with a history.
@joe.. I’ve noticed in a few of your videos the “final verdict” sound effect randomly popping up in your videos… min 25 on this one. You may want to clean up your copy/paste in davinci resolve. The sound could be “clipped” to the image on your background.
I'd love to hang out with these guys...so freaking funny 🤣
I recommend watching the movie 'When Evil Lurks'; it's an Argentine horror film and one of the best of 2023. I would love to see a review!
No.
@@Abrakadabro666 Ok
That was horrifying. Definitely gross and insane. Kids are not safe in the movie if you have limiits.
No
@AngryJoeShow
I actually read a very old comic about a haunted pool. So weird
I saw this last night and I officially lost it at "grooming this kid" 😂
Couldn’t click fast enough, a January horror movie reviews by the boys!!
OJ I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one that freaks themselves out about sharks in the pool! I'm a grown ass man and that still gets to me. Jaws messed me up as a kid. 😂
I love OJ. I had the same feelings about pools as a little kid, for the same reasons.
Pools: Don't get one, sharks could be in there
Jaws? Causing irrational fear of swimming pools? SAME. DUDE.
I honestly relate to OJ's phobia lmao
You should watch When Evil Lurks. Is a horror movie from my country argentina and is really good. Mostly because we don't normally do those type of movie and it really surprised me how scary turned out.
Found that way more disturbing than scary. Good movie though
My favorite AJS reviews are of bad movies and blockbuster letdowns. The mocking and jokes, i just have fun listening to this so much more than when its a quality movie.
when i was 8 i fell into the bay on super thin ice. my friend was fortunately
there to save me. we thought at the time that area of ice was solid to walk on.... but nope.
Joe ain't alone hahaha plenty of us let our minds drift. Especially before pool lights were a thing.
Skibidi Toilet x Night Swim toilet colab when
Alex saying it will be a drinking fountain for Night Swim 2 is hilarious, pretty much Hollywood screen writing today
Really hope we get an Iron Claw review
I hope yall review The Iron Claw. That movie was amazing!
OJ, I have the same irrational fear. I go underwater and all I think about is JAWS and Deep Blue Sea, even at 26 years old lol
@ 41:52, He says "Don't look back" because that is what the doctor tells him & his wife in the very beginning, when they were in the hospital. And were all worried about his baseball career.
Y’all seriously need to watch Saltburn!!!
Skipped this. Saw Ferrari. It was decent. Story wasn't all that intriguing. But, the characters were fascinating and the acting was top-notch.
When the ending happened, the entire audience went silent.
A haunted pool?! How original....... 😆 also, is Joe taking a break on Top ten?
I have a $5 movie theater near my house and I still may suffer through this 😄. I love bad movies and low budget movies the same!
Joe's fear of pools is a valid fear to have if you live in florida, Not for sharks but the frequent occurrence of Alagators in swimming pools
Joe-whats in the ghawd damned water?
Me-nargles probably.
Joe i need you to watch blue eyed samaurai one of the best shows i have ever watched. Especially since you love that time period.
The screams the joe was hearing was most likely a mountain lion
When I got an ad for this movie, I couldn't help but watch the entire thing. It looked so comically bad, I genuinely thought it was a skit for a car commercial or something. I thought there was no way this is a trailer for a real horror movie.
Bro said “squash your taint against my neck”😂😂😂😂
My reason for being afraid of pool as a kid was due to a 1980 called alligator and I live in Florida at the time. In the movie a child push another child in the pool and the alligator ate him which scare the hell out of me.
The guttural female screaming was most likely a mountain lion.
Good catch, I thought initially it might have been a coyote or rabbit, but a mountain lion screech perfectly matches what Joe described.
I am still waiting for Joe's "Worst Games of 2023" :D
Wow, the spoiler part has finally the audio volume this show would always need lol
Sounds like the director got high, watched the American Dad episode: Hot Water (the one with the killer hot tub) and was like, I can make a movie outta this
It’s not dumb. I have the same exact fearful, impulsive thoughts while I’m swimming in the deep end. 😂
Can we get a Saltburn review!?🙏🏾
Rapid fire alan wake = panties drop = rapid moisture accumulation in roast beef region
Joe did you watch The Iron Claw? its about a family of wrestlers in the 80s the von erich brothers. it's really good, i would like to see your review on it.
Hilarious how all that talk of haunted bidets just broke OJ. lol
i had that same fear after watching jaws as a kid. perents forced me to go swiming school so i had to push through
To be fair. I was always scared swimming alone at night. I always thought I would come up out of the water and see my 92 year old grandma with dementia in her night gown staring at me. So this movie is exactly what I was afraid of as a kid.
Same here, there’s a kind of unsettling feeling to it.
I actually thought the film was alright too, nothing groundbreaking but it did keep me on the edge of my seat. Add to the fact it’s an original
I had a similar experience as OJ with my pool when I was growing up. Pool sharks are the worst.
I have an overactive imagination, too, since I always imagine sharks in the shower whenever I go under the shower head.
Saw the movie with friends, everyone in the theater was bored and playing with their phones until the end. By the time the movie was ending I realized I had just watched a watered down version of The Shining.
I’m with OJ about the shark in the pool 😂
This feels feel like an episode of of R.L stine's the haunting hour adapted into a movie and I'm alright with it
New fear unlocked HAUNTED BIDET
There is no ghoul in this pool
