As an owner of an actual 1967 Twin Twelve, it gets close. However, there is no world in which this amplifier was ever too loud. It is the quietest 60 watts you're likely to hear without an attenuator.
Schweeet! But now the famous question: how does it sound on a Precision Bass? JHS is famous for have versatility in their drives to be used on guitar and bass, so I'm hoping this new beauty is no exception.
What would be a good amp to run this pedal into and what would the settings be? My Fender HotRod Deville is not cutting it. Only an the most insane volume.
What does this pedal emulate, the preamp or preamp+poweramp or preamp+poweramp+speakers? I'm asking this because the pedal output will go into preamp+poweramp+speakers of a specific and different amp, right? so… Could anyone clarify about this?
A large portion of the difference is in the speakers. Fender's, through the years, have consistently had pretty high quality speakers in their combos. Silvertone on the other hand often used much cheaper speakers that didn't hold together so well when things got loud. The Silvertone's speakers are a large portion of the reason it has it's signature loose bottom end tone.
Sounds cool but was it just me or were all the clean tones muffled to begin with? Filtertron and a single coil should be clear as f#ck. 335 should be cleaner as well. 1:50 and 3:13. Now to go listen to vids of the real thing
As someone who's very interested in the pedal I've checked out every demo. I've noticed you've taken the time to log into each new demo just to bilk it. Talk about "fanboy". It's a great pedal. The low end compression is part of the charm. If you don't like it that's cool, but why smash others for chasing a reference tone that is, yes, rare. Playing better is of course awesome, half of the beauty of playing electric guitar is the pursuit of sounds. Get it?
Kyle Jernigan Is it illegal or inappropriate to view multiple demos of the same pedal? - no. Then why suggest that Im doing something wrong? Are you a fanboy, or just interested in this pedal? You're probably wanting to know why I visited multiple demo vids of this pedal, I wanted to check my assessment was correct, which more than I can say for your pot shot assumptions. The pedal is as it is and if you like it buy it, I am free to critique it in the appropriate way. Yes I get what you're saying I just don't agree with you as to why it's important to chase a dead tone that wasn't taken to in the first place. It's like re-doing something that failed for the sake of selling a product and fanboys like you Sir, gobble it all up.
You commented on every post. And bashed the builders and anyone interested in the process on other posts. Do what you want but it's not constructed. Oh and "failed!?" Lol. A bunch of great rockers and blues artists who recorded with it think you're wrong. Tons of great albums were laid in cheap old amps.
Kyle Jernigan You're getting very defensive in you're language. I don't see have I have inspired you to this kind of chat, you should probably walk away.
Shame they didn't A/B it against the original that's sitting there.
This into my 1482 is the plan.
Can we get an A/B comparison between the JHS and the Silvertone? Why let a vintage amp like that just sit there in video like a piece of furniture?
yes we will film an A/B demo of the 1484 and our Twin Twelve in time... we did the same with our Colour Box and a Neve88 desk.
Trevor Babb probably because the ''real deal'' sounds better LOL
Nice. Love the Superbolt pedal and now this.
Awesomeness!
the parlor mob intro! Fuck yesss
Which song is it
cody mangum everything you're breathing for
Nice, great work guys! Sounds killer.
JHS, does very incredible stuff, that Fano...Gorgeous. That amp...just...just...
The Parlor Mob!!!!!!!

neat pedal
Hard to find? These pop up on Craigslist around here almost as much as Blues Juniors. :P
I want one!!
Schweeet! But now the famous question: how does it sound on a Precision Bass? JHS is famous for have versatility in their drives to be used on guitar and bass, so I'm hoping this new beauty is no exception.
we hope to have a demo for it on bass soon!
I wish my 1484 had this much overdrive. Mine is pretty damn dry :(
Sounds great guys. How will it work with a Marshall JMP?

It should come housed in a paper casing which is then encased in plywood…
Wow......What an attractive commercial.
I must be getting old, the names of bands today sound so freekin violent.
is it possible to use this pedal on bass?
What's that guitar at 1:25?

Isn't the 1484 anatomically the same as a fender?
Not exactly circuit has more to do with final sound than tube set. And I've owned both. Sound VERY different.

1484 is only 25 watts, FYI
ชอบมากๆ
1:56-2:14
Not sure is that an amp or radio. lol
60 watt??? They really only put out about 30 watts...
*Creator by the way CME.
My money says that it's really just a re-voiced Superbolt.
well, both pedals have gain stages, some transistors, a footswitch, couple 1/4" jacks and knobs... but no, its not a re-voiced SuperBolt.

why you say DCFC?? shit ... now i really need it
Great a pedal designed to sound like an amp that pop stars have 'used' - that should be very "Musical".
?

You're totally on point here.
