The only way to get any fun out of it is organised events and even then it sucks. The same people told me we would have 50 systems by now, we just had tow ait for the tools and then the great imaginary content dump would come. If you enjoy the current buggy mess then be many guest, I can get better fps and air combat in many other games and play those instead. The next time I will check in is after server meshing, assuming it ever arrives and works at all.

This is a great example of what Chris Roberts meant by player created content. In my opinion, most critics are looking for a traditional, spoon fed, gaming experience. The industry standard that they're accustomed to. They don't understand that SC will be too vast for a railed experience. The "civilized systems" will have some narrative driven content, but the unregulated systems are a no man's land. Bring your imagination and your A-game (and a lot of friends). I'm hoping that our collective imaginations can come up with more things to do other than just killing each other though. The other shoe that hasn't dropped yet is how the limited resource, player driven production economy is going to effect your ability to run all of that firepower without non-combatants being able to do the work.
So we start with the combat phase, whatever these were fighting for was worth more that salvage they just generated. And all those boxes to go pick up.

yeah and i bet out of all this there was..... chaos, friendly fire, lots of bugs, crashes to desktop and or bluescreening. no crew gameplay cuz anytime u get a big ship it dies from META SMALL FIGHTERS. And most of all, low ass server tick rate that is under 10 ticks per 1min lol

Ran flawless for the rest of us. Frame rates of 30-40 when thr big battles took off.
