I haven’t heard that song for 40 years or more. I loved it back then and still love it today. Brings back great memories of those times back then. It’s going onto my playlist for sure.

I lived in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968 and every morning this song played on Armed Forces Radio! At the age of 60 this song brings back wonderful memories! RIP Lee Hazelwood! You are missed! Patty Treece!
Must’ve been a toddler of 4 when I heard this first back in the sixties. And now I’m 64. The magic remains as fresh. This, and “Sand”, “Lady Bird”, “Jackson”… I can’t think of another singing duo whose voices held such magic, chemistry… can’t really find words to describe the phenomenon that was Hazlewood and Sinatra.
Great song, classic. This Lockdown is getting me to listen to all those classics forgot about, still much better than the modern stuff now days. I'm 28 so not an old person saying this either
The fact that you say that just means that you haven't taken the time to look for actual good music noways, which there is a lot of. If you don't like mainstream music that's okay, if you really like old music and it's vibe it's also okay, but your taste in music does not mean that one era is better than the other. They're both different and honestly in the future people will probably say the same thing about popular music nowadays. Liking Nancy Sinatra does not mean liking Ariana Grande is impossible. So go listen to some daughter.
I heard this song for the first time in 1975....it was my uncles wedding ceremony.....I m sixty now n still enjoying this song....the soul of this song will never die... it is evergreen n nostalgic...it takes u decades back...
Excellent, cool, soft and mesmerizing lyrics with intoxicating poetry and mystifying rhythm makes this a superb duet. Something different, something rare, something brewed to entice your soul and spirit. The deep baritone voice of Hazelwood and melodious vocals of Nancy make it a gem of a song .......Folks, they don't make like it, anymore !!
Rodney Patterson Yep. And you couldn't pay me to be young in this curr generation. Not a slam....but I cannot even understand the kids today. Would rather sit inside with a video game than be outside.

I can't thank my dad (who is no more) for buying a hi-fi system when I was all of 12.
